I would love to say that I am more than happy with American Freight in Ft Myers but I can not say this due to a few issues I have had with receiving my furniture that I paid in full almost two months ago. I ordered a sofa and loveseat on June 3rd and I was told they didnt have the sofa in stock and only had the loveseat but they would order it and it would be delivered in time for my sons 1st birthday on June 11th this was guaranteed by their sales rep at the time of purchase other wise I told them I didnt want to purchase it at all but he assured me it would be there in time. When they delivered the love seat the arm on one side was smashed and looked like a prune when I opened the plastic and set up the legs myself witch I was not suppose to do apparently setup was included in the delivery charge of $50 dollars so they switch it out with another one promptly, as for my sofa it never came in on time for my sons birthday, apparently the hold up was due to a storm that set them back in shipments.. so the store manager offered to let me use there display sofa until my furniture came in and stated he would call me when mine came in to swap them out so I agreed and felt this was somewhat fair. Well needless to say they forgot about me when my furniture came in and sold it to someone else, they also forgot that they even owed me a sofa I called them on July 15th asking where my furniture was, so they had to reorder it again and still today on July 25th I do not have my sofa, just a display from the store.. No type of comp has been made on there end except on the 2nd delivery charge due to me putting the legs on the love seat myself. I think I have been more than patient with this store although I do not know why because I am clearly NOT Happy with American Freight and would not recommend them to anyone especially if you are looking for furniture right now. I am giving one star because I do like the furniture but I am not happy with American freight overall at this time or the lack of communication on American freights end.

My wife and I purchased a couch from them over a year ago. Within a couple months, the couch had a seam tear in 2 separate spots on the cushions. We called AF about it and they notified us to call Guardian as this was a warranty issue. Guardian denied the claim saying it is a manufacturer defect and is covered under the manufacturer warranty. Well after over 6 months of being given the run around, and after threatening legal action, they finally told us to just throw the old couch away, and they would give us a new one. I thought great! We got a new couch, and it was even a "nicer" one. Well now weve had this couch a few months, and I have now noticed 2 bulging spots on the back of the couch. One spot had a nail sticking out of it. Out of curiosity, I flipped the couch over to look inside, and found multiple wooden support rods have broken free and are protruding into the back of the couch. At this point Im unsure if I should just fix it myself, because I know it will probably be better quality that way, or try and fight with AF for another 6 months and deal with that headache all over again. One thing I do know, is that I will never purchase from them again, and I will be sure to let everyone I know to shop elsewhere as well. And I will be posting this review everywhere I am able to.

This was my second time buying from American Freight. The first time was for a living room set that treated me well enough for 5 years before I upgraded. This same time last year I was in search of a bed. Well, the bed is just fine, but unfortunately the mattresses is garbage. I bought a Stewart and Hamilton "Royal Ultra" mattresses and it is the WORST mattress Ive ever owned...I should have known by the price! Found out from dozens of complaints online (after the fact) that these garbage mattresses all have the same problem: sinking in and busted coils, the first sign of a cheaply made product. Mine had a sizeable dip in the middle after ONE MONTH...and have had chronic back pain ever since. The manufacturer said there was nothing they could do. The store said bring it in and swap it out for another one. Nah, I dont need to swap it out for another bad mattress. So here I am, a year later, getting a brand new mattress delivered tomorrow (not from AF) and this "Royal Ultra" is heading to the dump. The staff is nice at the store, and even though the furniture is cheaply made it will last if you take care of it. That being said, NEVER buy a mattress here. You might as well light your money on fire.

I bought a couch from these people about 3 months ago at first I did not want to even buy the warranty they offer but they where so persistent about I finally agreed to buy the warranty along with the couch well about a month and a half ago my wife notice that at the seem of one of the cushions it ripped so we contacted them and for about 3 weeks we got played with then was told that it was not covered witch I couldnt believe cuz that was nothing that was done by us at all and it was obviously a manufacturer defect the manager at the store then said he will get it resolved because that was not right well now it has been about 45 or so days now since this has happend and still nothing and im still getting the run around and not only that but another cushion of the couch is ripping at the seems the couch is barely 3 months old an I paid almost $1, 000 for this couch this should not be happening and with the warranty they provide I was told if anything like that where to happen I can simply bring the cushion in and get it replaced that is not true at all do not believe anything these people say they are just looking to get your money!!!!!

Purchased a sofa, loveseat and the extended warranty from this company. Had a small cut that did not go all the way through the sofa so I contacted them to make a claim. The claim was denied. They would only offer to "maybe discount" something else. The warranty company allows the store manager to decide if it is valid claim or not. He made the decision "No" without even seeing the furniture. Please stay away from this store as they are only out to take your money. Customer service means nothing to them nor does honoring the warranties that are purchased. Purchase at your own risk, although after dealing with them you may do better picking up furniture from the side of the road.You will get about the same quality.

There furniture is expensive and not great quality. They offer a warranty for five years. We paid for it and nothing is covered. The people are very nice but the furniture is not worth the money. I bought a $600 table and within a year my table fell apart and warped we called because we had a warranty and they would not replace it because we didnt claim it within 30 days. Very disappointed. I will no longer be a customer at AF. I dont like being told time of my purchase that anything would be covered, so we buy the warranty bc we have kids and when it gets time to replace our table the warranty people are not helpful and says just to buy a new one.
