SOLD USED Furniture as BRAND NEW. Family Furniture is full of liars(car salesman) from the owners to the sales manager. I purchased a $3500.00 leather sectional brand new and had to wait 2 months for it to arrive. Then when my BRAND NEW sectional was delivered it had dog hair all over it and smelled like a dog kennel. When I contacted the sales manager,Jerry, he assured me that it was ordered from factory...LIE. When the owner came to my house he tried to tell me it did not smell and it was new..LIE. After many weeks of deliberation, I had spoken to my sales rep, who I will keep private for her protection, informed me that the sofa delivered to my house was a take back from another customer and was supposed to be returned but they sold it to me instead!! This is how they conduct business? Anything to make a sale through lies. WOW! I have spoken to friends in The Villages and they have had the same issue with Family Furniture, one ordered a sofa and the padding was horrible just weeks after use. They came and got the sofa and said they were returning it to replace with a brand new sofa, but unbeknownst to Fam Furn, they had marked the sofa on the bottom of reclining mech. When the NEW Sofa came in, they delivered it and it mysteriously had the mark on the mechanism...Liars. I cant believe this company is in business. BEWARE SHOPPERS, DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!! Truth Alwayz response to owner: Of course you dont have the paper work, just like you sold me a NEW sectional. Lets be clear, YES you did resolve the issue because frankly, the practices you committed were illegal. The sales rep told me intimate details because she disagreed with your practices. And yes the owner Bruce did personally come by the house and inspect the sectional...and yes you do have the paper work...unless you are admitting your accounting is defunct. The principle of the matter is Family Furniture conducted practices that are highly unethical and viciously lied about the situation. From the owners to the sales manager, nothing but lies. Furthermore, I am not the only candidate for this abuse, plenty of talk in The Villages about similar instances. Just making the public aware!

I went to the two other stores across the street and I really recommend them over this one (the two stores owned by Babettes). The lady was constantly on my back hounding me down and I cheered Babettes for the way they "handled" their customers letting me walk through the store without turning around and seeing a associate. You can see the difference between this store and the two across the street, the lady here was focused on that big fat check while Babettes was focused on letting customers look and to not be followed. Being followed is the biggest pet peeve in furniture stores for me.

I bought a sofa from Family Furniture in March, 2015; the sofa fabric on the seat cushions wore and faded in just a few months after I purchased it. Family Furniture inspected it and agreed to credit me with the original sofa cost to purchase another one with a different covering. I am very satisfied with FF and, particularly in my case, their willingness to do the right thing for their customer. I recommend them as a good, family-owned, customer-oriented store and will shop there again.

I cant stand when a sales person is always 2 steps behind me. I have tried there several times, but I feel like I have "a puppy at my heels". I would not go there again because of this, and unless you like this type of sales help, stay away from this store.
