Went to this place super excited and pumped to get my first tattoo. I wanted a half sleeve and the particular artist that I chose said that hed be able to do it during our consultation. The appointment was a little over a month away, and as Im sure most people would understand, I was counting down the minutes. During that stretch of time I tried emailing him about a change that I wanted to make in the tattoo. No response. I called the shop and left a message 3 times. No calls back. Literally the day before my appointment I get a call from the shop manager telling me that he couldnt do the tattoo because it wasnt his style. Im not upset about it not being his normal style of tattoo, thats understandable, but why take this long to tell me? These guys are popular for a reason and its because they are some of the best artists in San Antonio. Understandably he is a busy guy, an amazing tattoo artist and it would have been a blessing, but Idc who you are, there has to be some lines of communication. Funny how in his instagram he describes himself as humble, because I cant think of a more arrogant cocky thing to do to somebody.

I met these guys about two years ago and let me tell you, I wont go anywhere else. Between the original art of their designs to the thought they put into it, Ive been back time and time again. All three of my pieces turned out perfect bc my artist took his time thinking about my idea and making it better. As far as dirty goes, I dont know where that comes from. The place and equipment is very sterile and thats coming from a nurse. The chairs could have been old, but to be fair those things cost a pretty penny and get sterilized with each use. Not to mention the fact these guys cut their cost just to make beautiful pieces of art accessible to a normal everyday person. I got a full upper arm tattoo that was masterfully done for under $300. I would recommend anyone to this shop if they want real authentic art versus something youll regret in the future.

Hands down, THE best experience I have had thus far with tattoos. From start to finish, the process was everything I could hope for. David Alcantar is a talented artist and helped me get the tattoo Ive been wanting. Thank you soooo much and I will most definitely be back. EDIT: I have been back for two additional tattoos since the first one the review was about. I cannot speak the praises of this shop any more than I have. I am blown away by the consideration David Alcantar has when creating his designs. Ive never felt better about getting tattooed here. I know that I can share my ideas and I am going to get something I LOVE. I cannot speak for the other tattoo artists here at this shop but everyone is so friendly and talented. Only one thing to consider: this is a cash only shop, but there are ATMs nearby.

Getting your first tattoo can be a little scary. I had gone into several different places and ended up settling with Flesh Electric Tattoo primarily because of the outstanding reviews the place has received. Needless to say these reviews are well deserved. I arrived without an appointment on a Saturday morning but was quickly introduced to Lex, an artist who specializes in anything that contains letters. I took a look at some of his work while he set his work area. He made sure to communicate with me to make sure I was getting what I wanted and just made the experience very comfortable over all (although he wasnt lying about the pain on my ribs, lol). Loved it.

the tattoo parlor has a worn in, vintage feel that is welcoming and doesnt look like a hospital as some other parlor tend to gravitate towards to illicit a sterile feeling. the guys were very accommodating to my walk-in. i wanted a simple tattoo of 26.2 on my foot for completing the marathon. Sean Smith helped in printing out the font I selected and offered advice on layout and placement. Throughout the process, Sean took his time and showed interest in my tattoo. I had such a great experience with him that I gave him a 20 dollar tip. I highly recommend Sean as well as this establishment for getting a tattoo.

Ive had a few tattoos done at Flesh Electric & I was more than satisfied everytime I went. I still get compliments on a daily basis! Theyre very professional and clean of course! Jake is real down to earth & does amazing work. He makes sure youre gonna love your tattoo. I just recently got work done by Javier and he was also very good, he made me feel comfortable the whole time and doesnt have a heavy hand which is awesome b/c I bruise easily. Overall Flesh Electric is a place I can trust for badass work at a reasonable price, Ill definitly keep recommending!

I did a lot of research before my girlfriends and I took a trip to San Antonio. Jake, Matt and eldon were very accommodating and did a wonderful job! We all had various tattoos and not only did they give us exactly what we wanted but made our experience fun! flesh Electric was clean and they took all of the steps needed to make the newbies in the group feel comfortable. I appreciated all of the correspondence with Jake especially since we were coming from Nebraska and didnt know anyone in San Antonio! I would highly recommend Flesh Electric!

the dudes in this shop are awesome at what they do. I have been to several tattoo shops where there playing xbox and messing around, these guys stay busy and draw and make themselves better artist. I have a couple big tattoos from some of there artist including a full sleeve im working on with jake and i get compliments on a daily basis and i would refer anyone to these guys they do kickass work, the environment is super clean and sterile and its the only place ill go to get work done from now on

Very welcoming from the start! Was running around town due to a previous shop being closed where I had an appointment the same day... Had the chance to run by the shop and my artist Kep was very informative and as well as understanding on what I wanted. Very knowledgeable and talented dude! Was more than happy once I left the shop with my tat. Keep up the good work ! Will be going back to the shop and as well as Kep for the amazing talent and service!!

I had a tattoo done there that I admire. However, when my fiancé wanted some work done they took a $100 deposit knowing he wanted a Christian themed tattoo. When it came down to actually doing the tattoo their attitudes became negative. They did not follow through with commitments to customers even after taking deposits. Being in the tattoo business they should be more customer oriented and that they werent. I would not recommend this tattoo shop.

I had work done by Lex on Friday night. I have never experienced a gentler touch with the needle. Three days later and mostly healed. The artwork is exquisite. The shop manager is super friendly and checked in with me during my session. Having been in the military and having gotten tats in 5 states, I have to say the price is crazy low. If I decide to get another one, Ill definitely be back here.
