This a shop that makes constantly advertises cheap prices for tattoos. For example "BIG 30 dollar tattoo, and one dollar piercings!!"Obviously, this advertising will reel individuals who desire a cheap tattoo. Some ppl get caught up in all the hype there and realize these arent good tattoos. They make you pay for the aftercare after they are done with your tattoos. Other than that, they dont offer or give you any aftercare to take care of your tattoos. As a tattoo artist, you are supposed to offer AFTERCARE and the proper one for free! In the long run, your tattoo will not hold up and you will realize your tattoo is crap. Honestly ppl tattoos arent supposed to be cheap and its art, its supposed to take time. However, the owner OG Poppy is a horrible tattoo artist and doesnt take his time doing tattoos. He only cares about the ghetto chicks that have something to give to him and he own cares about the money. Obviously his shop is some cover-up for something else. Why does he only do "CASH-ONLY" ppl? Go and do your research on the history of this shop and previous tattoo artist that have worked there. Horrible tattoos, horrible customer service, and much more. Im black so I dont wanna here Im being racist, Im keeping it real. Go look at the other reviews online. OG Poppy targets the ignorant black ppl who want cheap prices and who dont realize the time and dedication tattoos take.OG Poppy is too concerned with his celebrity customers and doesnt care about the everyday customer who just wants a good tattoo. Check out his social media accounts, this guy is big headed just like he is a rapper and doesnt care who he has to step on to obtain money.This is the reason some black businesses dont last long or ever stop, we lack the knowledge to run a business. If you check the other reviews on other websites, OG Poppy doesnt want bad reviews, because he cant handle the truth. Poppy or Poopy, if you dont want bad reviews dont give out bad service. And the chick Krystal who works there is bad for business as well. Last thing, this shop used to located on Northwest Highway and was shut down many times by the Health Dept. Do your research ppl!! Many ppl have post pictures of bad tattoos and Poppy has done nothing to fix these tattoos. WHAT THE heck is Organic Tattoos ppl? Poppy is a joke. That is just fancy terminology to reel in more customers, this guy is amazing in how low he will go.

I brought my sister here for her birthday. Walking in there is no lobby or seating aside from a single bench, which seats 2 average people, forcing everyone else to stand, and there was about 10 people just standing. Thats cool you have so much traffic however its not inviting. I dont want to stand around and wait to be helped, does that make sense? I decided to get a piercing because my sister and i have drove all that way, i wasnt leaving without anything. So i got my industrial done. Ive had 6 piercings so i am not new to the sensation or process. The man who i went to, seemed...indifferent? Straight to the point, i liked that, However, literally in the middle of piercing my ear he takes a phone call. So the needle is literally hanging out of my ear while he is talking to someone. He shows obvious distain, but continues to talk. He finishes my ear and thrusts a napkin at me, all the while still on the phone. I quickly ask how long until i can change it, he says about a month. Okay, no, it takes about 6 weeks, at least, for any piercing to heal properly. So this was wrong. Then he rushes and says vague instructions on how to care for my ear, which were actually mostly incorrect. Luckily i know these already but had i been new to body modifications, these instructions would have been awful. Its been about 6 and my ear is fine however, i literally just took my jewelry out to clean it properly and realize the jewelry is externally threaded, this just means its regular jewelry. Freshly pierced flesh needs internally threaded jewelry. This is cleaner for the healing wound and over all hygienic to a fresh piercing. I was disappointed upon coming to this realization and have to say due to these several factors i will not attend or recommend this shop again.

I have been going to da kandy shop for almost 4 years now and I have went to multiple artist! the best thing is that you can have a main artist but they have a building full of talented artist and they take their job very serious. I love how detailed most of them are and i love how colorful you could actually get stuff. If you have a problem you go up to the front desk and it will be solved. There are not many tattoo shops that stay open until 4 am and none that i know of are open on sunday i mean you have to think about how they consider their clients. I havent been to not one tattoo shop not even in Vegas that takes the time to show their appreciation not only by giving great SHOP prices but also all the deals and time they take to recognize their artist for all their work not one person in that building is self centered its a team working place and i promise you feel it in the room when you walk in. I know some of you haters on here either cause you broke and came to the shop looking for "out of the house" FEE tatts sorry try another one of your homeboys. some of the haters are just mad cause they didnt get they way on the time i mean da kandy shop is big, like everybody in dallas and beyond come here. GET IN WHERE YOU FIT IN!! You dont show up on time for black friday sales so dont come looking for red carpet treatment if you aint take your own time into consideration you can set an appointment anytime you would like on the site or better yet want to talk to the artist yourself then get his/her contact info and make it happen. on that note i will just say go on in and get your experience instead of getting on sites and listening to haters

This shop is unprofessional utilizing false advertisement to get clients. They are currently advertising Big Ass Tattoo Monday for $20. Its bs. I went in on a Monday to have a pink flower placed on my inner arm, I was quoted $100. Jigga was the artist. I told him, no thanks because clearly that was a rip off. He blamed placement and the pink ink color. So I asked for the flower to be placed on the out side of my arm, he quoted me $65. This guy totally disregarded their special of $20. When asked what about the special. He said " my flowers arent worth $20. What I asked for was much smaller than the sample images they have advertised on their ad. I decided to do a basic black Roman numeral date down my back. When he finished, he charged $50. This tattoo is no larger than 1"x4". They are artist indeed... Scam artist! To make my experience even better, I contacted OG Poppy twice. Once via Instagram and the other by text. He didnt acknowledge either. I love tattoos and have never dealt with such unprofessional people. Money isnt an issue when it comes to good tattoos. When you are advertising a special on big ass tattoo then thats what Im going to expect. Also thats the only reason I decided to go to the shop. This was my first and last time going to the shop. I have multiple tattoos and Ive never felt ripped off on any of them.
