These guys are the definition of professional. I was recommended to Fortune Brothers by a friend, and I stopped in to discuss the possibility of getting my first tattoo. The shop was clean, well organized, and each member of the staff was genuinely friendly and attentive as soon as I walked in the door. I immediately felt comfortable as a new-comer to the world of tattoo art, largely due to the enthusiastic reception I received on both days that I was there. Artist Michael G. asked me what I was interested in, and when I told him, he immediately began sketching it out with all of my design elements and his own style. I actively watched him sketch and mold ideas and artwork elements until we came up with what I thought was the perfect representation of the design I wanted. He kept me very involved, and really let me influence his artwork. I sat down and got it outlined and colored in about three hours. The work was amazing. The color, shading, and detailing was far better than I imagined. As soon as we finished, I booked an appointment for the next day to get my next piece done. Again, as soon as I got there, Michael tediously developed a perfect image of what I wanted, with his own style added to it. The results were nothing short of spectacular. I literally have a masterpiece on each of my arms, and I cannot decide which is better. The prices were beyond fair, and I will be getting all of my work done here in the future.

Unfortunately, I cant put 5 stars like everyone else. I went in with my girlfriend, we both wanted tattoos. Hers, a simple one on her rib cage, me, a large one on my back. We met with Ryan the first time we went in. Nice guy, he didnt ask for a lot of details (size, location, etc) but I just figured he was the pro, so no big deal. We set up an appointment for the following week and I sent him pictures that night of what I wanted. We came back for the appointment and he had nothing prepared. He forgot what my gf wanted, but put something together quick and she got hers. Since, o had sent in pictures, I thought hed have a drawing or an idea or something ready.... Nope. Nothing. Luckily, I had gotten sunburnt the day before, so we decided to postpone anyway. When we were leaving, he told me, "Ill draw something up and send it to you to see if you like it." This was the last I heard from Ryan. I attempting to contact him twice and received absolutely no response. Highly disappointing experience considering all the great reviews.

Great tattoo shop! Very, very clean. On my first trip here, I walked in when they were opening and they were mopping the floor and the smell of cleaning solvent was in the air....anywhere else and this would have been a turn-off but at a tattoo shop this was a welcome aroma! My first tattoo here was actually a cover-up. I was in town from Dallas and they worked me in to an already hectic schedule to get it done. Ive now met both shop owners (Robert and Dan) and they both seem like great guys. Robert did my tattoo and I was extremely pleased. Ive seen Dans work as well and it looks top notch as well. I was so happy with the work that I drove back down from Dallas about a month later just to get more work done from Robert! If youre looking for an amazing tattoo in a clean shop by some great owners then you have found the place. A lot of tattoo artists make you feel like they are doing you a favor by tattooing you. These guys arent like that at all. They are very personable and likeable. Youll enjoy the experience here.

So i have been wanting a sleeve done, a bio mech. look to it, with a lot of different ideas. I looked around SA and this was the one shop that stood out in my mind. The guy that greeted me was laid back, there were some other artists in the shop at the time (tilt, and a few others). All which were very friendly, which took me by surprise, i know a lot of artists. And the difference between this shop and the others, is that these guys are professionals ( Rob, and Dan ). They take their time and the love and passion for ink is beyond anything i have seen in a tattoo shop! I recently left the SA area and now 6 hours away, I will always go back to Robert, The drive will not keep me from a Quality artist! I will be coming back to the SA area shortly to get the other sleeve done! With the ideas I have, I know, I will be surprised once again at the great work they put in!

After reading a lot of shop reviews and visiting about 15 shops across town, I decided to get my very first tattoo with Fortune Brothers. Of all the shops I visited, Fortune Brothers made me feel the most comfortable and was the cleanest, best decorated shop of them all. (I know it may not matter to some of the guys out there, but it certainly does to us chicks!) Dan, Rob and the new guy Mike are accomplished artisits and tattooists as well as cool people to get to know. I started work on a half-sleeve with Rob 4 weeks ago. He is painstakingly meticulous with line work, and lighthanded with the shader. After 6 hours in the chair, my Geisha is looking great! I cannot wait to finish color at my next sit and start on the backside of my bicep and the other half-sleeve. Stop by the shop, you WILL NOT be dissapointed. - K.C

First off, hands down the cleanest tattoo shop in San Antonio! All the artist that work here are masters at their profession and put out quality work, not only are they professionals but they are super funny and make you feel confident on the tattoo you are about to receive and comfortable with the tattoo process. They will work with you to insure that you leave happy and make suggestions for the work to be done. Robert Corso the owner is my tattoo artist and does phenomenal work and doesnt cut any corners! I walked in with ideas and told Robert what I wanted tattooed and left with an amazing leg sleeve that turns heads when Im out and about and I always get asked where I had it done. I highly recommend stopping in and setting up an appointment or even maybe a walk-in!
