My wife got her very first tattoo here not too long ago. We chose this location because by the reviews on google, yelp, and facebook, they are THE BEST tattoo shop in San Antonio. I had high expectations and they definitely lived up to them. The place itself is spotless, large and open. It has a homey comfortable feel at the same time as professional and classy. They do all types of services, tattoos, piercings and even for people that are into vaping. They have a kids area, a pool table, an area to watch tv and hang out. They basically have the perfect idea of a man cave to make people feel at home. Now, some people may complain about their prices, but for the work Ive seen and for the work Matt did on my wife, it is totally and completely worth it. Not to mention you get a free touch up that doesnt expire, but you have to wait at least a month to go back in. My wife wanted a popular tattoo, the tattoo of a dandelion, but with only birds coming out of the dandelion. My wife explained that wanted it to have the illusion as if the dandelion was falling, and she did explain we were Christian and were very nervous about the procedure. Well, Matt made us feel so at home, we enjoyed every minute of the time we were there. His work is awesome, like nothing you have ever seen. He is so close to detail with all of his work. He was constantly watching and asking my wife is she was okay. The tattoo itself came out unbelievable. I dont think we coud have gone anywhere else to have gotten this. Overall, you guys deserve 10 stars. So happy my wife came here and im already planning which tattoo im going to get here. Although Matt was awesome with us, Im sure this place is the best for a reason and all the other artists are great. For those who are looking to get there first tattoo, just know this place is the place to go. Not only are they clean, professional, talented and skilled, but they make you feel at home and they will guide you through everything you need to know.

My Husband and I were on the search for a great tattoo shop in the San Antonio area back in March 2015, and Twisted Tattoo was the first suggestion with the highest ratings on Google, and we would soon learn for good reason! We saw nothing but positive reviews, so we called and scheduled a consultation for us both which went very smoothly! From day one of our experience the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The tattoo shop itself is huge, and extremely clean! Tons of great artwork to view while waiting. We decided to have the owner, James, do both of our tattoos based on his previous artwork and positive feedback. His work is absolutely flawless and my husband and I couldnt be more happy with how our artwork came out. I received a Beauty and the Beast Rose, which was very meaningful to me, and I nearly cried upon seeing it complete. My husband received a Kingdom Hearts Scripture, and the line work was just awesome! James worked quickly yet still maintained amazing accuracy and detail to each of our pieces. This was both our first time getting tattoos, and we were so nervous. But James made us very comfortable and we were both surprised at how smoothly our first time experience went. His wife, Denise, is such a sweetheart. Together they set a great environment in the shop, and really work as a team. Overall I would definitely recommend Twisted Tattoo to ANYONE. Each artist has so much talent to offer. We are planning on going back for future ink soon! Its true, once you start, you seem to want more! Especially with such talented artists! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE...VERY UNPROFESSIONAL...The worst customer service from The OWNER. I am a nurse looking for a safe, clean place to have my first tattoo done. I went to this place because on the web site it appeared very professional and clean. I never had a tattoo before in my life. I have no idea what the process is or what the steps are. I was scare and confused of just the idea to have a tattoo. I was thinking of getting a simple, not too expensive only to cover or partial cover a horrible scar I have from a past C-section that went bad and a tummy tuck reconstruction. The owner didnt even came out of his office to talk to me. His employee was the one bringing the message back and forth. Only from seeing some pictures I had to tex him to his phone of "possible" ideas of tattos to cover or partial cover my scar, he automatically gave me a price of $814.00. He never gave me the chance to discuss the colors or if I just wanted simple black, or maybe not to cover all but some of my scar. He even told his employee to tell me that the pic of tattos I sent were not going to cover my scar and I needed to chose something bigger...are you kidding me...he gave me a price of $814 just by seeing the small pic and now he wants to make it bigger and charge more? When I told the employee that I knew was going to be difficult to cover perfectly my scar, that I was awarded of but I just wanted something to make it at least a little pretty. She said he said that scars were difficult to work with and that was the price....HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE...VERY UNPROFESSIONAL...and RUDE!

UPDATE! I never mind saying that I was wrong and I really was wrong! A few hours after posting my review below the owner reached out to me and stated that he would honor the price that I thought the two piercings were and he and his wife both explained to me why the pricing was what I was quoted which I really appreciated long story short the piercing experience I had with Denise was a fun one! She was very patient and answered any and all questions I had about the piercings but what I really loved was how much she was concerned about my overall well being and health you dont meet many pierces that are like that...EVER...she wanted me to be as comfortable as possible and she made really excellent decisions as far as my piercings are concerned so go to twisted tattoo and see them they are an excellent business and very honest business people Older review: Upsetting that I really wanted to get my traverse lobes pierced on both ears but misunderstood the pricing that was listed on the website and given on the phone. I was told it would be a certain price and it sounded correct based on the pricing listed on the website for piercings but was soon told the opposite when I arrived to the shop. I will go back to get the piercings since they have good reviews on cleanliness but I just feel that the pricing detail on the website should be more specific especially if you decide to list your prices. Call the shop and be specific as possible so you dont waste your time or your gas going in and being disappointed.

They were rated #1 best tattoo place in SATX according to their rating on Google and Yelp, and they lived up to their reputation! I got my first tattoo here just a few days ago, and all i can say is that Matt is the Man! He was fast but he took took his time. He was so meticulous and made us feel so comfortable. He made my first time getting a tattoo unforgettable. I mentioned i was a Christian and sure enough, to make me feel better, he put Christian music on. The tattoo itself is just awesome. The tattoo is beyond beautiful! Its crazy how realistic it looks. I wanted a dandelion with ravens flying out from it. I showed him what i wanted and he made the image even better on my skin. He did amazing work no doubt. (You also get a free touch up on your tattoo at least one month after you get inked!) The shop itself is so beautiful and clean. Very professional. They ave a pool table, large TV/chill area and even an area for kids. You can text them or email and theyll give you a quote right away. The owners are friendly and nice and although I dont want another tattoo, just thinking of my experience there and how great those people are make me reconsider! Dont look anywhere else, go to the #1 place in SATX! Thank you Matt, and the rest of the Team at Twisted Tattoo!!!
