For the most part this is a wonderful store. Most of the employees are very thoughtful and considerate. I love the fact that each weekend they host an adoption program for many different species of animals. When you give extra money at checkout you can be sure this money will be going to feed house or fund an adoption program to help an animal in need. Other programs that they provide or support, such as neutering and spading pets, vaccinations and grooming services, to include training are also available. I dont know if they have any orientation classes for new pet owners but the employees are always ready to answer your questions and provide assistance where possible. Remember the only dumb question is a question not asked. Please stop by and support pets in need and help them find good homes. Also remember its your responsibility to neuter or spayed your animal. By doing this you prevent unnecessary suffering to potential offspring. Thank you for reading Patrick

If you enjoy picking up feces and urine like I do and want to stay up to date on the latest techniques of animal husbandry, this is the place to do it! The friendly staff never tire of listening to the thrill-a-minute adventures your little microchipped critters have as they grind out their lives an hour at a time for minimum wage. You havent had a misadventure until youve asked a disinterested millennial where they keep their Whisker Biscuits! Everything from the cute and cuddly, to the venomous and decidedly terrifying are kept within screaming distance of the unkempt and unclaimed children from some of East Texas finest trailer parks. Why does everything smell like sawdust?

Two separate times I have tried to visit this store, and both times their doors were locked despite their posted hours. The first time they had the doors locked 30 minutes before the posted closing time. The second time was 30 minutes after the posted opening time. Both times there were multiple employees standing at the front who simply looked at me and then went back to talking. I even went and sat in my car for an additional 20 minutes the second time to see if they would open the doors, before giving up and driving to the other side of town for my dogs food.

I made an 80 mile round trip to the Longview Texas Store and the product their website showed they had in Stock was not there. I walked the whole store 5 times and finally found an associate.. I asked her to help me with finding the product she said " did you look for it ".? I told her I had, she said " if you looked and didnt see it we dont have it" and the she said " you should have called before you drove off over here " She made no effect to help me look for it.. so I left store...will never return.

JR in the reptile and fish section is awesome! He is konowledgeable and easy to talk to. Jr is the only reason i give 2 stars, otherwise they would get NONE! BUT the groomers suck. I took my cocker in for a full groom and it looks bad. The fur is patchy and still has loose fur plus she feels and smells like they sprayed her with perfume but did not bathe her. Her ears are still very dirty. I will NOT take any dog to the petco groomers.

Well, after waiting over twenty minutes for some help, more people showed up and then the guy comes to help. What does the employee do? He helps the other people first. A couple left and came back he goes to help them while Im standing there at the counter. I usually go to Petsmart but I was closer to Petco now I remember why I dont go there. I will not be going back.

High prices, one of the only 2 pet supply stores nearby that has what I need. The staff rarely ever say anything to me so I guess theyre friendly enough. Store is sometimes a mess, but fish seem to be kept well, small animals are is too small cages for my personal liking... its ok for a petco

worst customer serves from the grooming department I had ever reserved! My dog took over 4 hours and when I picked her up her cut was uneven, face was hardly touched and feet untouched. I will NEVER be going to another petco and would strongly recommend you take your animal some where else!

Its off the Loop in Longview. It has a good fish counter arrangement for selecting fish. They optimized their layout in this design. Has a card membership and sometimes a point reward system.
