Beware. Do not go to this store. Terrible customer service. The worst experience ever. 1st an eployee sold us fish recommending that we purchase them as starter fish for a 75 gallon tank and said that we could return them after a few days to get the fish we actually wanted. So when we went to return the fish the owner said that was not a part of their policy and that they would take the fish back and not refund the money nor do an exchange. Obviously there is some lack of communication between management and staff but ok we let that one go. 2nd bought a sweet kitten for 34$ and was assured that they had been checked for illness, got shots, and dewormed. The kitten was ok but very tired the first 2 days and the 3rd day would not eat and could not even stand the 3rd day. Took the kitten to the vet and spent 200$ on diagnostics and treatment. We called to notify that they sold us a sick/dying kitten and the owner said we shouldnt have taken him to the vet and instead brought the kitten back to the pet store for a refund and that they would not take any responsibility for vet fees. Obviously my children are attached to the kitten now and i had to take off of work to care for the dying kitten whom needs around the clock care and potentially a feeding tube. We have to follow up at the vet again today and who knows what that may cost. Do not go to this store unless you enjoy disappointment and regret. They do not care about the health and wellness of their animals nor the treatment of their customers.

I go here at least once a week to get feeder mice. Every time I go in, I have a great time. Even though its usually just for business, I still like to look around and see how the animals grow from week to week. Their staff are SUPER friendly and knowledgeable. I dare say they know more than I do on some things ;) As a testament to their great customer service Ill Tell you what happened today (July 17, 2015), I go in to get my weekly mice and after looking around a bit I left and started to drive home. About three quarters of the way home and I looked down and one of the mice has died for some reason or another. I called them and let them know, to which they responded, "I am very sorry please come back and we will give you another one." I drove back and they replaced it free of charge and with a smile on their faces. While they are there to make money, they also want their customers to be educated so that the animal they sell them will be in good care, and live a long, happy, healthy life. They arent going to let a beginner walk out of their store with something they know is too difficult for them to take care of at their experience level. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone in the north Houston area. Ive seen them in almost every reptile show in Texas and they are competitive with their pricing. Anyway, this review is going on longer than expected. Long story short, they are good people, but dont just take my word for it, go see for yourself. :D

Absolutely worst experience Ive ever had. I dont ever leave any reviews but I had to. I hope no one has to ever experience what I went through today. The management is so ridiculous. Today I witnessed a young girl picking up a kitten today at a set time that they told her. They delayed it for 30 minutes to a hour and whispered giving her the side eye not wanting to give her the kitten and last minute made a excuse to not give it to her. Just being rude and when the women had a question one of the workers risky answered "Umm Im not the person to be asking.. Thats not my profession.." Then walked away while the women stood there lost. LIKE ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Once I looked around and was ready to check out I placed the dog toy onto the counter and hoped the lady at the register would acknowledge me and she didnt even care, I stood there for 2 minutes without her even caring and a guy even walked over looked and didnt bother to help me either. This is ridiculous. I waited even longer maybe she was busy but I just put the toy back. I wasnt going to wait 5 minutes to be acknowledged and ignored. This was very unprofessional. Im never coming back. This isnt the first time Ive felt very disrespected in a store. I would recommend a different pet store, it stinks and the animals are kept so poorly in tanks. Over crowded. The store smells terrible like a animal shelter. If I could give zero stars I would. Beyond terrible experience.

First Id like to state I am not a huge fan of pet stores fully on the fact that you never know where these animals are coming from or their stories. But because i heard great things about this place I went to just check it out.... I was mortified over the condition of the store, when i walked in I was immediately hit with this fowl mold rotting smell that seemed to not go away. I then went to go look at the animals they had, i saw that the snake were kept in containers way to small for them and also watched a poor snake trying to escape and was shaking so bad because he couldnt push open the lid so when i went to tell the lady behind the glass she rudely yelled at me and told me to not worry about because hes fine. Next just the general condition of the animals they had was so disturbing they crammed in cages that were stacked on other cages with animals in them. I tried to talk to someone about theses conditions and the only person i could get a hold of was a young girl who said she didnt work there she just is a mandatory volunteer. I wouldnt ever buy an animal there or even suggest it to someone, they dont know anything about what they are selling or the animals, the customer service is extremely rude, and the store in general is infested with bugs and god knows what else. I would never come here again.

If I could give no stars I would. Number one their do not care for their animals correctly which cause animals to be sick when bought. I bought a leucistic axolotl which they tried to say was Albino, for $50. Not only where the 3 that they had on gravel which is very dangerous but they were at the age where they cannibalize and shouldnt be kept together. The one I got who I shouldnt have purchased due to its poor condition, he was so full of gravel that he couldnt pass it and he had to be put with ice for months to slow his digestive system to help pass the stones. The whole time he would hardly eat and I would wake up daily hoping he had made it. Thankfully after a few hundred dollars of special care and a lot of time he is feeling much better. Back to the store, you will find bones infested with creepy crawlies, flea infested beds, food bags with holes and Im sure due to the bug issue contaminated. Its horrible, I looked at Yelp and saw great reviews then I clicked the read unrecommended reviews and theyre horrible and just like my experience. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
