PSA: DO NOT ASSOCIATE WITH DELAND KIA They are the most thieving, despicable, money hungry, insensitive, horrible excuses for human beings Ive ever met! How it all began: When I was 16 years old, my first car was a Kia Spectra purchased from them, and I loved it! After having it for 4 years I decided to see what I could upgrade to without increasing my monthly payments by much. After hours in the dealership, they finally got to a number I liked on a new 2014 Kia Forte. It was not until I was signing the last few documents of my contract that I was notified I was signing for a lease! At 20 years old I thought it wasnt too bad because I didnt drive very often. It wasnt until after that I got accepted into a program for school which required me to drive a lot more than normal. At the time I wasnt too worried because overall at least I had a reliable vehicle right? WRONG! In the two years Ive had this car, it has died on my a total of 4 times! 2 times with no explanation from Kia as to why, and 2 times because of the battery! The first time the battery died, July of 2015, they replaced it because it was a bad cell. Then just 3 days past a year from when I had that replaced, the battery died AGAIN! And because it was just 3 days past a year, they wouldnt cover it because they only put a one year warranty on their batteries. Ive never heard of having to worry about changing your car battery every year. So when I had enough, I wanted to see what it would take to get me out of this lease early, and explained my frustrations about the car and their service on it. All they could tell me was "Im sorry you feel that way, but you must have just got the bad apple of the bunch, because Kia is ranked higher than all of our direct competitors". And then attempted to get me into a new car in another lease!!! Thieving monsters! So I waited a few months and saved a couple thousand so I could terminate my lease early. I went back to attempt a buyout, and they came back with "well you owe $12000 but were only gonna buy it back for $6000 so you owe us $6000". If I wasnt raised to never disrespect people in a business setting, I wouldve told them where they could shove their $6000. So here I am, stuck with a car until 2018 that I cant drive because I dont want to be charged for over mileage. And I am so heated its not even funny. Moral of the story, dont make any agreements with Deland Kia, unless you like making deals with the devil! ***edit: on the positive side of this post, which does have some harsh statements, but I dont regret anything Ive said, the one person who has always been beyond helpful there during all of my hardships was Jacob in the finance department. I could always talk to him about my frustrations and even though there was nothing he could do he showed an amazing amount of sympathy which is very admirable in my eyes! He would even think of the best possible ways to make sure I didnt struggle after I got stuck in this deal. He is what has made this experience bearable and deserves the highest praise a person can be given!

Had an oil change for 9:15 am yesterday. Showed up and line of cars was to road. When I got up to where they check you in I asked if it was going to be a long time. I had other appointments that day as well. Instead of giving me the correct information the guy said yeah a really long time. He proceeded to tell me If I come back at 10 am the following day he would get me right in. I showed up today a second time and a different guy tells me he doesnt know why I was told that. That he made it worse and that he has to take all the appointments before me he cant give me a time. had I waited yesterday appointments are only an hour. He said he will do his best to try to get me in an hour and a half but theres no guarantees. Very poor customer service. no empathy and very rude about it. I left and called the manager of the office to let him know what happened and was basically accused of being a liar. The guy today told his boss he promised me an hour which is a flat out lie. The manager was very rude said he doesnt know what he wants me to do about it he already apologized and then proceeded to say what do you want me to get you a free oil change or something. I told him no and told him I wanted a survey and he told me I couldnt have one because I wasnt serviced. So I figure writing a review and letting everybody know exactly the type of award winning customer service they have there would be sufficient. I switched from my original Kia dealership because of the same reason poor customer service even though Deland offers free oil changes I pay for mine every single time as I did not purchase my Kia from them and I will not return.

Our 2015 Kia Sorrento had to be towed to this dealership , because the key lock that came with the vehicle was taken out of the glove box (Car had the tires rotated less than a 3 weeks ago)By the service Department. When we purchased the vehicle, there was a special lug nut placed on each tire.. Deland Kia put the lug nut packaging in the glove box along with the Owners manual. Now granted, we do not use the glove box (We have a middle console that we use and the glove box stays locked) for anything but housing the aforementioned articles... Upon calling Deland Kias service department to let them know that we were having the vehicle towed there and someone in their department had taken the key out of the glove box. We were verbally called liars and told that we took it out of the glovebox and they were NOT going to change the tire, or do anything else without payment.. We payed to have the vehicle towed there and spent 20 minutes with one of the most un-professional people we have ever met: RANDY HECKER! He proceeded to get into my face and my wifes face and called us liars and we need to pay for any service done by them. When I told him to back out of my wifes face. He starts yelling and getting more irate... In ending: He tells us he does not work for Deland Kia (But he is supposed to be the Service Manager for an Authorized Kia service center?) Not only were we offended and disrespected , BUT never received an apology from the so-called service manager... IF YOU TAKE YOUR VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE, BE SURE TO TAKE PHOTOS OF THE INSIDE OF YOUR VEHICLE BEFORE AND AFTER YOU LEAVE!

I am shocked to read some of the other reviews here. It makes me wonder if they were at another dealership! First off, that afternoon I went to Orlando Kia North which was horrible, pushy, and when I said I needed to check my budget at home they insisted if I leave the price on the car I was looking at would go back up. Seriously? But this is not a review about them. It is about how when I left there and went to Deland Kia (which a friend recommend to me after she had a fantastic experience with them) I was greeted immediately by Phil, helped swiftly, treated with kindness and did not experience ANY of the pushy salesperson approach I dread when buying a car. They worked WITH me and my credit, and I was able to get the car of my dreams with the same payments I would have had at Orlando Kia and a MUCH better car. I highly recommend Phil, who went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and comfortable - before AND after I purchased the car. I drove 30 miles to get there, but am SO happy with them, I would drive 500 miles (as the song says!) to buy from them again. I know, in my heart, Phil would make sure I was happy before hed just try to sell me something off the lot. And the lot is HUGE, by the way. Great selection!!! Thank you Phil and Eddie for the great experience. I guarantee you - I will be back! Word of mouth is huge too. If my friend hadnt said anything to me, I wouldnt have even known about you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
