This time around our car experience wasnt the greatest. Both my husband and I decided we needed a larger vehicle for us and our kids. We decided we were going to go the used route which we have done in the past with no issues. We purchased a 2013 Honda Pilot 2 weeks ago. As of today we have found numerous problems that Middletown Honda refuses to acknowledge. We have left several messages for the used car manager and the service manager trying to get these items rectified. Even though there was no car fax obviously doesnt mean that the vehicle was never in an accident.... A day after getting the vehicle home we noticed a kink in the right fender and upon closer inspection we noticed that the front bumper doesnt fit properly as it over hangs on both sides and there has been bad body work done to the fender... we called Honda and they had me drop off the pilot so I was without a car for the day and they did not provide a loaner.. they "attempted" to realign the bumper only to have it line up on one side only. I then noticed that the step pad on the rear bumper was lifting and when I had a body shop inspect it they said that someone had used double sided tape to attach this... this part snaps into the bumper.... so they ordered me a step pad and when I brought the vehicle to them to have them install it they noticed that the back bumper wasnt attached properly.. so they realign it for me and attempted to snap on the new step pad... only to find it doesnt fit! So I had them remove the bumper per their suggestion to make sure that the bumper on the rear of the vehicle is in fact a HONDA bumper... well it is NOT! Its some no named aftermarket bumper from China. They suggested that they front bumper is also aftermarket just by the fit since HONDA and ACURA are notorious for aftermarket parts that do not fit. I am not expecting a used vehicle to be in perfect condition but I feel that something should be done to rectify this issue. I didnt just got to a small mom and pop car shop I came to a HONDA dealer and purchased a certified pre-owned, so obviously who ever inspects the vehicles when they are traded in doesnt know what they are doing. I have yet to make my 1st car payment and already the repairs that need to be done to this vehicle are over $2000!!

The guy that sold me the car did his job by lieing I ask if the car was in a accident amd he lie straight to my face mind you I want to punch him in the mouth ...never take somebodys promise always look at paperwork 30 mins after we was talking..the car was taken off the internet so he stated that he couldnt find the Carfax I thought he was an honest dude but nothing but lies not even 30 days of having a car let alone three days of having a car he told me to put in my complaint if I didnt like anything about the car and when I did so they kept giving i me the run around telling me to take the car for a test drive with a mechanic the first time was with the salesman he said the car was idling high Veer to the right in the brakes sound like s*** the second time was with a mechanic had same problems... one of the ladies insisted maybe it was the driver not the car which was of rude and disrespectful ... by the third time u went in i found out I can get the Carfax there the car was in an accident I spoke to the general manager which his tone of voice was straight negative telling me theres nothing I can do even if I try taking them to court the point of this Is to have everything in write an be really carefully with who u deal with an dont ever settle for less remember youre the customer an your money speaks louder than anybody elses words so does paperwork like I said be really carefully this will be a lesson learned new buy a used car from the dealership and your warranty means almost nothing they said if the car is not worth putting the money into it that they wont which I should have recorded every conversation I had with each individual but now I know for next time

Looking to lease a 2017 Honda oddyssey. First sales person didnt even answer the questions I asked. He seemed like he had other things to do. I was told he takes on multiple customers so was given a new sales person. She was bright and friendly. Answered all my questions... she knew her stuff! We even got to test drive it. We were in love with the vehicle! told us to give her some information and she will get back to us in 15 minutes to let us know "numbers" (did not even run a credit check). 7 days later after multiple attempts to reach her... ghost girl never contacted us. We were appointed a 3rd sales person who seemed like he really wanted to help. The "numbers" they offered was crazy. He told us the boss said hes practically "giving it to us". Found a dealership in NJ, same new vehicle and features that gave a way better deal ($600/mo. V $390/mo). But we were so turned off by this point we ended up just going with a completely different vehicle, the sales person just got us right from the start. We were told over and over again how Hondas do not depreciate like most vehicles but the selling strategies stink. If you want a real belittling, confusing and bad car buying experience, like how you see in the movies... this is DEFINITELY the place. Middletown Honda... you really raping people up in here. Up in here.

When it comes to Sales and Service, Middletown Honda is HORRIBLE! When I wanted to trade my Acura TSX, Sales Consultant, Gus offered me an insulting value (what I owed to the bank...imagine that!). They told me that I would have better luck with another dealer, and wouldnt you know it?!...They were right! I got approximately $2600 more at a dealer in NC, which was a better move, because I got a better warranty...LIFETIME power train, at no extra cost. Thank you, Gus! After purchasing a 2012 Civic Si in NC, months later, I had issues with the valve stem caps corroding, as they had nitrogen, not air, in the tires. I took my car to Middletown Honda with 6,000 miles on the odometer for service. I told the technician, Chris, that I had broken one of the valve stems, but I needed all replaced because of the corrosion issue. Firstly, he said quote "You broke it? Well then thats on you". Startled in disbelief, I said that the car has 6,000 miles on it, it is covered under warranty. He then asked me if I purchased the car at Middletown Honda, which I replied "No, North Carolina". He then said "Youll have to take it back there." I then spoke with the Service Manager and advised him of the issues and treatment that I was having. He apologized and fixed my car immediately, under warranty! Take your business elsewhere.

After deciding upon a Honda, my wife and I went to Middletown Honda knowing we wanted a CRV-LX after spending hours researching the different cars they made on their website. Upon arrival at the dealership, we were greeted and asked how they could help us. After we told her that we wanted to see one of their sales representatives we were introduced to Katia Cabrera. We told her what we wanted and handed her a list of questions we had. She took the time to answer them in great detail, and then took us to the lot and we picked out the first one we saw. After that we were introduced to Joe the finance representative and he helped us make payment arrangements we could afford. We returned several hours later to pickup the car. We we then led to Sylvia Ortega the delivery coordinator who assisted us with the final paperwork and it was a pleasure speaking with her to make the sale a done deal! The car was detailed and washed, and was presented to us with a full tank of gas! Sylvia then took at least an hour explaining everything the car does and how it works. Middletown Honda has the most courteous and professional sales representatives I have ever had the pleasure to do business with at a car dealership. If you are interested in a Honda, Middletown Honda is the only way to go.
