All of the most recent reviews are lies! I wish I can give them negative stars. This company is HORRIBLE, the people who work there are HORRIBLE. If you call them liars thats just scratching the surface. They are giving themselves reviews to make their company look better. The review made by Middlesex Investment Corp. just happens to be the company they use for financing at a rate close to 20%. The review from 6 years ago is more accurate to what kind of business they run. "Oh well you bought the car as is" is how they run their business. What they should do is stand by the product theyre selling instead of making a quick buck and pushing their customers to the side. We purchased a 2006 GMC Envoy. Within the first couple of months we needed to change the brake pads (which when purchased we were told they were ALL changed..1st lie). They gave us a spare tire which was probably from a junkyard because the rim was rusted (we were told brand new..2nd lie). The truck smelled like mildew when we picked it up (they "detailed" it then closed the windows and sat it in the sun). We were told the entire truck would be detailed (cup holder in the back seat was caked up with something that spilled from the previous owner..3rd lie). The check engine light came on (and is still on due to the high price of having it fixed) and when brought back to Sheldon Motors we were told that its just a sensor (not a big deal right?). The check engine light is on due to the actuator and a handful of other problems. We have changed ball joints multiple times. Ive gone on long enough. I wish I couldve given them a better review but oh well they do business like scammers and liars. They dont deserve your hard earned money for HORRIBLE cars. Go to a dealership and spend the extra money for the satisfaction of knowing they stand behind what they sell.

two weeks ago my fiancee and i purchased a 2002 jeep grand cherokee laredo and paid $9000 for it cash (bank check) we also purchased an additional warranty for $199. after only one week of driving the car to and from work i started hearing a grinding noise which got louder with each passing day. due to time constraints, we took the car for final inspection (we live in ny and had a temporary inspection sticker) and to have this terrible noise checked out. as per the mechanic the car needs two front rotors, a left front brake calibur and front disc pads. the dealer had shown us a receipt issued by their on-site mechanic for work done to the car prior to putting it on the lot for sale. the rear brake pads had been replaced but not the front ones because their mechanic deemed them as 75% good - i have a copy of this receipt. i dont know what kind of mechanic they have inspecting and servicing their vehicles, but how did he miss the front brakes needing rotors, disc pads... ? we did test drive the vehicle a few miles, but did not hear any noises. what we didnt do was put the car on a lift to spot a problem any real mechanic worth their salt shouldnt be overlooking. NOT FAIR! not to i think a brake issue is a safety concern. bottom line, two weeks to the day we bought this vehichle, we have to shell out $450 minus the one thing covered by the warranty (this is if they authorize reimbursement). our salesmans attitude was oh well.. you bought it as is". :/ NICE! never again.

I just got home both very upset and frustrated. I emailed Sheldon motors about a vehicle asking if they were willing to sell it for $11,000 OUT THE DOOR....They called ME to say YES....So I rush to get out of work, pick up my son from school and drive 30 min thru traffic with the expectations of getting the car. I called my insurance company and bank and got everything set. I get there, test drive the vehicle with my son, found all 4 tires bald, very unsafe. They offered to sell me 4 tires at cost. So Im very happy until the owner said it was $11,000 plus tax and DMV fees. They "salesman" admitted he to not being truthful. The owner said the "salesman" Eric told him $11,000 but not out the door (including taxes, DMV, fees etc). The kid lied to try and make a sale. I cant say for sure if the owner was in on it but I was pissed! Classic bait and switch techniques that make people hates going to dealerships. I wasted 2 hours of my life. Why call me to agree to a deal and then lie? NO one even apologized. I didnt yell cuz I was with my son but I sure wouldve given them a piece of my mind. Why not just tell me you cant sell it at the price Im asking for but no, waste my time, my gas, my kids time while making your business worse because I am going to tell everyone I know looking for a car not to go here.... Avoid Eric at all costs...

When I found Sheldon Motors I thought I wish I found them sooner and I dont want to shop anywhere else. They were very upfront straightforward. Explained everything I signed made sure the price was right for me & in my budget. And the price was what they said it was. I traded in my old vehicle & got a great price value on that as well I am so happy with my experience at Sheldon it was so easy to get a car & drive away same day with a new vehicle. I dont know if Omar still works there or not, but he was very honest and upfront about the vehicles. My gf went to buy a vehicle she looked at one Omar told her not to buy that one because it had some type of damage to it and he was trying to get it taken off the lot. Very honest!! She went on to purchase a different vehicle which has been very reliable. Id go back especially if Omar is there.
