I had been taking my dog to Petco for grooming services for the last couple years. The service was marginal at best, but the location and hours of operation were very convenient. On her last visit, my dog nipped at the stylist. It was likely out of the fear of the unknown, as she had a different stylist at nearly every visit. Anyhow, the stylist was afraid to continue, so she didnt finish the grooming. As a consolation, Petco gave me a $10 certificate for my dogs next grooming visit. Fast forward to today when I called to make an appointment. The employee who answered the phone told me that my dog was "no longer welcomed" at Petco for grooming services, and that "someone" should have called and told me. Excuse my language, but thats garbage. Perhaps it is a blessing in disguise, as I can now find a groomer with the compassion and attention to detail that I should have sought out years ago.

I went to Petco this evening to purchase some tropical fish. How very disappointing! They had a very limited selection of freshwater fish. The ones they did have looked very sickly ... some with clamp, some barely swimming. Every single tank had between 1 and 3 dead fish floating in it or partially eaten on the bottom. The tanks themselves were filthy! This Petco should be ashamed of the way they are caring for their fish! Ill be shopping at Pet Smart from now on. Their tanks are immaculate and there selection is great! Sorry Petco, but youve lost my business!

I have to go here all the time considering my location, and amount of animals I take care of. All the workers are generally nice. The only problem I have is with the crickets, they are always running out and telling me they have none left when I can clearly see there is either a bag or container with some left in it, I literally just need two for my two chameleons for the night so I can come back tomorrow when they get more in its the only thing the poor animals will eat. Order more if you know you will run out!!

I live right down the road and have a lot of exotics so I come here at least weekly. They almost always have what I need, the prices are reasonable, if you have their Rewards Card you get great deals. I wouldnt suggest it as the ideal place to buy live animals, I frequently see sick ones or animals kept in inappropriate tanks. Dont ask the staff complicated questions. This should be obvious, they work at a pet store, if you want real advice ask your veterinarian.

Petco is the place to go for pets and pet supplies, but service is horrible. One time i went there and my friend wanted to buy a gold fish, just a regular gold fish that wouldnt get any bigger than it already was, one of the workers wouldnt let her get the fish because she had a 20 gallon tank. I dont get it, she couldnt get a small fish because because, why? Im going to have to find a different pet store that have people who actually let us buy there pets.

Compliment: I had my dog Annabel groomed at your West Bend location for grooming. I had a redo by a groomer named Scotty. She did the best grooming job she ever had. My dog is a labadoodle and she really brought out the poodle, just gorgeous! Scotty took time with her and I could tell she cares. Im surprised to hear about poor service. I have found everyone to be extremely friendly and very helpful. I take both my large labs there to be groomed and have always been happy. I buy litter, food and treats. I couldnt find the food I usually buy once and a young man went out to the back to check the truck to get my food. He went out of his way to help.

I love how there managers and workers are very helpful when you get a new pet or just need supplies. They are very kind to their animals .Although some of the animals are sickly like the guinea pigs they were gone for a month or two

My pom was permanently injured during a grooming appt with herniated discs in his neck. When i went in to speak with a manager i witnessed someone elses dog being strangled as the groomer was careless & untrained. Never again
