Picked up two quarts of oil and went to the cashier to be checked out. There was only one person behind the cash register and another person stocking the shelves. The customer in front of me had some involved problem which involved research on the computer. The person stocking looked several times and was aware I was standing there for a long time. At that point, a male customer came in and was looking through the shelves and the employee who was stocking asked if he could help him, helped him locate an item and went to the cash register to check him out. I was still waiting in line. When the stock employee was finished, he beckoned me over by waving his hand at me. I stayed in the line where I was and was finally helped by the young man behind the counter, who apologized for my long wait. As I was leaving, the stocker walked over to the young black man who helped me and said, "Dont ever apologize for me again." I dont have to buy oil here. And you dont have to keep rude, condescending employees working here.

I ordered and paid for an auto battery with installation online. As I was entering tha store an employee named Donald was going out of the door to help a lady outside. When he came back inside I was the next customer at his counter. I was then told my work could not be completed because it was dark outside. It was not really nighttime yet. He had no problem helping the women before me though. He then began to tell me he couldnt leave because they might get robbed. He started complaining that I should have come in right after the order was placed. WELL MAYBE I WOULD HAVE IF THEY PUT THAT INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE AND IN THE STORE. I was assuming that the work could be done because the store was open till 9:00pm. JUST BEWARE THAT NO WORK CAN BE DONE AT ALL WHEN IT IS DARK OUTSIDE. THAT INCLUDES BATTERY CHECKS AND INSTALLATION. I had to have front disc pads for my Genesis Coupe on 8/21. Today, I went to pick them up. The box was torn and tattered so I opened the box. It was clearly obvious the brakes were previously installed (brake dust all over them), nicked, chipped and dirt/sand in the box and no wrapper to protect them. Though they willingly offered to get a new set, I now have to wait till the end of the day to pick up a new set. This is totally unacceptable! The counter person who accepted them as a return and the warehouse person who restocked them clearly did not inspect them, accepted and restocked them when they should have been discarded and chocked up as a loss and written off. Advance Auto has always been good in the past, but folks, you have to do better than this to keep me as a customer!!!

I have been going to this particular Advance Auto since they opened simply because of the convenient location near my home, but I have never been disappointed with the service and assistance! I often ask for advice and always receive professional and courteous service. And I love that they keep a record of information on the parts I have previously purchased for my 15 year old Dodge Ram 2500. I will continue to go there first when trying to keep my pick up on the road.
