About the only thing in this places favor is that its close to apartments on 148th. Thats really the only reason anyone would want to come here. Its also probably why they get away with such an awful store. Most people go to Freddies for groceries, and they barely make a passing grade. Theyve got... bread... and frozen dinners... and salt. Dont get your hopes up for anything more. The aisles are laid out so confusing that I didnt even find peanut butter or jelly. And if youre a vegetarian, forget trying to find a nice meal. Theyve got the bare minimum of meat alternatives. Whats outside of groceries, you say? You dont wanna know. Dont go there. The non-grocery sections have an unpleasant, deserted feeling. First off, the atmosphere. Theres way too much floor space, meaning most of its empty of customers and thus unpleasantly lonely. The lighting is limited, giving the place a dim and depressing feel. The ceilings are way too high (which makes for a weird soundlessness). The signs are very dated. The whole place feel like the 1990s. The products are awful. Their clothes are extraordinarily tacky - youd find them cheaper and more stylish at H and M. Their furniture is staid and boring - youd find them cheaper and more stylish and Ikea. Their selection of books and magazines is limited to the worst of the tabloids - just go to Barnes and Noble. The service is terrible. I was checking out once and had purchased something from the electronics section, but the clerk had the nerve to ask me for the receipt. Really? If I was stealing something do you think I would brandish it in front of you? It really annoys me when staff members dont trust their customers. The inextricable part of it all is that this is fairly close to Microsoft. Youd think with the higher-income clientele theyd have more money to spend on cleaning up the place. Apparently not.

We waited a year and a half for this store to reopen from a remodel, and it was not worth it. Sure, the layout is a little more open, but thats about it. The floors look terrible, they obviously put no money into these. The prices have gone up noticeably. They have eliminated the rear entrance, which was a great way to avoid the crowded front parking lot for those in the know. The rear entrance was also convenient for getting to the pharmacy in the old layout, which is now up front in the thick of things. The grocery section is expanded, but at the expense of outdoors, sporting goods, and toys, which are all now much smaller. For one-stop shopping, this is still your best bet in the area, but the remodel added no significant benefits.

Is it possible for a beautifully renovated store to be less good? Apparently, yes. Wax paper? Nope. Kindergarten sized shoes? Nope. Seems they only get one or two in the "lot" and all the weird sizes are left. Same is true for lots of clothes and shoes on the small side. Dressing room is both locked tighter than Ft. Knox and yet highly visible to passers-by. There is an obnoxious ad that comes over the Muzak too. And are they less staffed? I think so. Plus, the credit union here doesnt do shared branching. So theres that. :/ Meh. I couldnt wait for them to reopen, but its less good. I think Ill just keep going to target, even though its less convenient.

First of all Fred Meyer isnt glamorous. It isnt a Macys. But I expect some effort when ones things are stolen. My brothers expensive over shirt was stolen, and there was barely any effort at all to recover, find or search. None. When it was reported, apparently they looked. That is nonsense. We saw no one searching. There was nothing significant done to aid us. Its ridiculous. CS/LP at other Freddies is much better, and enthusiastic about helping people. Anyways, if you dont want your things stolen, and to receive aid if it does happen, go to another Fred Meyers.

The store is new it looks nice unlike the old Fred Meyer. There were only one type of organic milk. I was hoping to find more selection since the store is huge. Bakery looks beautiful. It mentions their bread is hand crafted from scratch but some of the artisan bread seems like par baked. Also their work space is too small to accommodate all the bread they offer. So I wonder which bread is made from scratch at the store. Their beer / wine bar looks nice. They offers many selection of wine. There were piles of discount bread scattered on a table.

This particular store was remodeled not a long time ago. Sections were totally rearranged except jewelry, which is still located at front(east side). The garden section was moved from a west side to a south side. Restrooms were moved to the front. An organic food section got bigger. A deli got bigger. Cheese section now has big selection of domestic and foreign cheeses. There is a vine bar now. Parking got biģger due to Les Schwabb tire service being removed. Charging stations for electric and hybrid cars were moved to the front as well.

There are very few options in Beer only IPAs and wine available. The Bartender took our order verbally didnt write down our order (there was 3 of us). It took her about 4-5 trips to get our order down brought 1 beer at a time. I do not recommend you go out of your way to stop by obviously if you are in the store shopping and feel like a drink go for it the 16 oz draft beer priced at a flat $5.00 (the receipt read GLS of Wine so it could of been an error) do not expect it to be quick though only stop by if you have the time.

Remodeled, the place seems bigger than before. Went for a "quick trip" on a lunch break and it ended up being about 30 minutes because I kept finding stuff to peruse. Pretty easy to find stuff even as big as the place seems. If I lived on the east side I could see myself walking around in there for a few hours on a weekend, and I loathe shopping. If I had a girlfriend, I could see myself getting annoyed with how long we spent in there.

First thing I love about is the colorful riot of flowers that greets us at the entrance. Is quite huge and shop for bread, milk, eggs, fresh fruit and vegetables The vegetables like the corn or turnips are very fresh and brings in a flavour to any dish. Apples, cherries, strawberries can be bought and stocked for a week Look out for offers on chocolates and bread Shrimp,Salmon and Tilapia are fresh and love coming to buy them

I was Dallas, TX and used to be fan of Kroger. However, after I moved to Seattle, I was disappointed to know that there was no more Kroger. However, when I saw FredMeyer, I was amazed!! This is Krogers sister company and they have everything that you may need to buy from. More over, the same loyalty card from Kroger also applies here in Fred Meyer. And, they have huge collections on all items. Superb!

Customer service lacking. Waited 8 minutes at deli to be helped. I was the only customer. Six employees standing off to the side talking. Finally Michael came over to help. Ginger checked us out. She was pleasant enough. Again customer service lacking. She was smacking her gum the whole time she was checking us out. Not very professional. The store is new and very large. Too large for my liking.
