Overpriced - food not so fresh - customer service is lacking While Old World has a nice grocery selection, its easy to find many of the same products at a large supermarket at a much better price. The produce section is small and often is out of stock in common items such as varied peppers, fresh basil, organic spinach. Much of the food in the salad bar and deli looks old, wilted, discolored, dry. I would be very careful buying the premade stuff. The bakery looks great, but of the many diffrent things I tried, nothing impressed me enough to repurchase. Cakes are pretty but sugary, bread seems stale. The coffee bar is inconsistent. Sometimes the coffee is great. Other times its barely warm and very weak. Fish and meat - all I can say is it doesnt smell very good in that section! Not a good sign. Check out their sale and discontinued items for some good deals, but stick with Fairway, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, or one of the small natural food stores. You are guaranteed to get better prices, fresher items, better selection, and/or better customer service.

I am stayng at the West Gate Inn Nyack...adorable motor lodge...no restaurant, However down tbe road I discovered Olde World Food Market....it is the most gorgeous food market I have ever seen. It is enormous and the buffet by the lb. - reasonable with every kind of fish and seafood like salmon pasta, mussels and shrimp...including the usual suspects: veggies and beet salad...even spinach pie...would give Whole Foods a run for its money if in NYC. Oooh coconut covered shrimp!!!

I LOVE this place! If you are looking for the best in Meat and Fish, Produce, and hard to find items that you cant get anywhere else - you have to come here! They have WILD KING SALMON FROM ALASKA! Something you wont find in the big chains! Come check it out - you will be surprised at what you find! Lets keep small family-owned supermarkets that take pride in their work and really care about the customer in business.

Great little produce section with organic options. Everything you need will be in there somewhere. Cheese section is good. Fish is always fresh and available. The parking lot can be a bit tricky to exit during Nyack rush-minute, so time your visit. Lots of people show up after work to take home prepared foods. It all looks very appetizing. Cheers yall!

Chicken salt! After reading a few articles online about the best seasoning to ever exist but can only be found in Australia, I was on a mission. I thought the only place I could get it was Amazon, but Old World Food Market came to the rescue. They have a lot of products that are hard to find elsewhere.

I get something from the hot buffet for dinner a few times a week. Theres a good selection. If you are health conscious, there are many salads and low carb options. Cheese department has a huge assortment of cheese from all over the world. The meat and fish departments are very good.

Love the selection here and there are a lot of great healthy finds. The food bar is always excellent and the bakery, prepared foods, and produce sections are very good as well. Most of the things here are a bit over priced but its a small company so I get it.

The first time I walked in in 2015 was a glorious experience for me, as I am a fanatic about eating healthy food whenever possible. As someone from out of town, this place was a food haven. I have been back many times since, and have never been disappointed!

The food is always great quality. I frequent the hot/cold bar for dinner if Im in a rush or dont want to cook. Only bad this is the enterance/exit. I see accidents along RT 59 all the time so be careful entering/exiting the parking lot

I would only recommend shopping here if your looking for something specific that couldnt be found elsewhere, and even then, be prepared to pay a bit more. Flat out, this place is overpriced, even for Nyack.3
