NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN. Heres why: I went in at 5:15AM, only a couple of other shoppers in the store. While I was browsing their selection of energy drinks, I was approached by an older Asian woman with bleach blonde hair who told me I needed to remove my backpack and leave it in the front of the store. But dont worry, she said, she would watch it. I told her no, Im done shopping, and I wont be shopping here again. Im a 40 year old man with a buzz cut. I was wearing my backpack was on both shoulders and never removed it. If I would understand if I was a) high schooler in a group of other kids or b) the woman outside huddled next to the trashcan smoking a cigarette and dressed in pajamas and a blanky, feverishly working her way through a pack of scratch tickets (I didnt stop to see if she picked them out of the trash looking for a winner, or if she was scratching them). Maybe I didnt see the NO BACKPACKS sign. Every other time Ive shopped here, the staff was friendly, the store was clean, and the service great. Its a shame, because I stop nearby twice every weekday. I CANNOT abide this treatment, and neither should you. They have plenty of competition, so Ill be taking my $$ to another store. This wasnt my first trip to this store, but its definitely my last.

For a Mom and Pop type place it has a wide variety of goods. One week I went in for a hot cocoa and they only carried grocery store packages. So right there we made it at no extra charge. A couple of weeks later they have it in a machine. PS. ADVICE TO CHICKEN BREAST EATERS......THEY CHARGE BY THE POUND SO DO NOT EAT IT HALFWAY BEFORE GETTING TO THE CHECKOUT. ..... Admitting my fault I looked down , well weigh what is left and double it. OUCH! $6.

Used to be a great neighborhood market but has really gone downhill the last year. All the old employees that made it so great to go in there, making up for the prices, are now gone and it is cold and indifferent. Product has really deteriorated and the atmosphere just totally is depressing! Really sad this historical market has become just another hole in the wall dump.

Great store! Its like a mini grocery store. Staff is friendly. Price isnt bad. Huge selection of products....meat, fresh produce, dairy, knick/knacks, local products, wine and beer. If you enjoy people watching, this is your place! Its indescribable!! Best people watching in Lake Stevens!! Youll see all kinds at The Thumb in the Stevens!!

If youve been around town long enough you know Tom Thumb is a bit grotty, but the only stop on that end of the lake to buy your stuff. BUT, best price on milk in town. 2 gallons for $5 of the name brand!

The place has gotten bigger and better with the new ownership. They have truly expanded to a one stop shop right here in my neighborhood. Staff is always polite and courteous. Best deal on milk around.
