This is my favorite Home Depot. Always well stocked. Always someone around to help out. But today I just had to get on here and write up a review. This place is dog friendly - a huge plus for any business in Arizona. You simply can not leave your dog in the car - not even for 10 minutes while you buy something at Home Depot. So bringing your dog into the store is an absolute must in my books and most non-food stores are more than accommodating. But today Home Depot went above and beyond. I saw someone walking a donkey into the store (wearing a donkey poop bag on its hind end). I dont know the specifics. Perhaps it was a registered seeing-eye donkey. Or maybe just a pet. It was certainly well behaved and calm. Regardless, the friendly staff smiled and waved the donkey in. I mean seriously, how much harm could it do to have a donkey in your store for 10 minutes? Its not like they are selling fine china. Well done Home Depot! Love your store. Ill be back often with my best bud Zander (a 10lb Yorkie pup).

**Edit** I originally wrote my following review based on the weight it took to receive any type of service. However once Jonathan Firelake knowledged that I was there and I could knowledge the situation I became much more ease. If this is me with my order and help load my car. Because of this I increased my star rating from a 1 to a 3. Jonathan alone deserves more of a star rating however due to the fact that I was waiting so long without being acknowledged that I was even there the rating row remain at three stars. **Original** Dont order anything online for pick-up thinking itll be quick! I stood in line for 45 minutes while 3 people were ahead of me slowly got their things resolved. Tons of employees around but not one came to offer any kind of assistance. Store was dead. No reasons for this kind of transaction to take as long as it did. Home Depot was my go-to for hardware supplies. This kind of service will make me go to other suppliers from now on. How Ridiculous!

I dont know what other reviewers are talking about, or when theyre visiting this location. Every time Ive been there people wont stop harassing me, and theyve been kind, knowledgeable, and close at-hand. Also, its a Home Depot. Its big. Expect to be lost. I spent about 40 minutes to find the lighting I wanted, a dryer, price some doors for anticipated home improvements, and look at some power tools because theyre cool. I didnt have to ask anyone because theres big signs everywhere telling you where to go. Literacy is a big bonus when youre out and about. Of course, I wasnt trying to return a palm for a $170 refund for a receipt that cant be independently verified, nor would I fault a business for my idiocy. But heck, Im just a software engineer. What do I know?

This is by far the worst Home Depot in the valley. I had a receipt for a Sago Palm (25Gallon) from another local Home Depot for $229. I saw the same exact Sago Palm (25Gallon) priced at this store for $399. I brought the receipt to the store manager (John) and he told me that I must have bought a different plant from a different manufacture. The receipt said Sago Palm (25Gallon) and he told me mine must have been defective. What the heck? Different manufacture...who...mother nature? It is a palm tree! They wont price match their own stores in the valley. This is a joke and their customer service skills were horrific! I will never shop at that Home Depot again...ever!

I have gave them my compressor for repairs and they lost it. Now they wont give me a replacement or any help . They wont give me paper work or anything they pretty much stole my compressor . I have spent $500K with Home Depot in the last 10 years, and now this what I get back . We suspended most purchases there Looking for vendors to work with I would never support Home Depot and will always direct people elsewhere and not to their store . Still I will file with the state attorney their way of doing business . One last thing that shocked me was, Rene the assistant manager told me if I dont like her answer I could leave the store !

My latest visit to Home Depot was to pick up a retractable clothesline. Two supervisors standing inside the door asked another employee to help me. He directed me to the wrong place. I came back and the supervisors grabbed someone else to help me and he didnt know where the clotheslines were either. After too many minutes spent wandering the store, I found the clothelines. Bottom line - if time is important to you, do not visit this store. The store has a lot of employees but they dont seem to know or do much. I guess those supervisors were too busy supervising to help a mere customer.

This store is the best for customer service. I asked for special help in finding the things I needed because I do not live in PHX or know the area/store. Instead of taking me all afternoon to find everything, I had what I would call a "personal shopper" who helped me find the 20 things I wanted on my list. She was great! With her suggestions and help, I found exactly what I wanted and needed, in less than 2 hours! Check out was a breeze, and they are going to load everything for me, making this shopping experience some thing to brag about. Thank you Home Depot on Shea. Ill be back!

I went and got a gentleman to help me with my light outlet I wanted to fix. The gentleman let me know he was in gardening and he could not help me; he then went to go find an associate. 10 minutes later no one had come to help me. Two other customers also stood next me waiting the entire time with no idea if someone would come help us. This is beyond the definition of horrible customer-service I will not be going back again. All three of us left we will take our business elsewhere. On the way out I saw approximately 7 employees all sitting around doing absolutely nothing.

Home Depot sells water heaters and then uses what appears to be an outside subcontractor to do installations. Unfortunately, it doesnt seem like the Home Depot employees know the full nature of this relationship nor is it easy to navigate through the subcontractors requirements in order to determine what the cost is by buying the water heater through Home Depot versus buying it through the subcontractor or having the subcontractor pick it up at Home Depot and deliver it for their installation. All very complicated and likely not worth the effort.

In addition to shopping at this store, I worked there for several months in 2011. Its easy to point fingers at store associates who are less than perfectly helpful, but in my opinion, theres way too much going on in one of these stores for any individual person to master. The veterans will do better than the rookies, but its wrong to assume that the first orange apron you see will know where every obscure little item in the store is located.
