I would normally give this place a better rating as we shopped there very frequently for our pet Pineapple Conure... However, we have lately been considering getting another Green cheek Conure for our little Pineapple to have some form of company while we are away at work. So, we decided to ask for assistance in holding the various conures they had there. They had two Pineapples and one Green Cheek as well as a Quaker Parakeet. We were told an associate would come over and assist us in letting us hold the little dears (the Quaker in particular would squawk if we left his sight until we came back which was so sweet and sad for us to see his need for attention being so great)... We soon found out why these poor birds were so desperate for attention... Upon the Associate opening the cages, she tried rather unsuccessfully to get the birds to come out of the cage willingly and then proceeded to chase the birds around the cage each time she tried to get one out... The cages were not large enough for conures to comfortably live, let alone to have to flap around being chased by the Associate and they would constantly bump into the glass and get their feet caught in the grates of the cage floors... My estimation is that the enclosures were roughly around 14"x14"x20" or less which is hardly enough considering the way they have the bird food and water bowls as well as the perches set in the center of the small enclosures... Anyway, back to the the poor birds themselves... Normally when getting a bird out of its enclosure such as a conure, you should have spent enough time with it to teach it the "step up" and "step down" commands so it willingly comes out of and returns to its cage... At the very least, time should have been spent with the birds so that they are not so terrified of human contact... I am certain they are already terrified of humans because of how they are handled by Petco suppliers/breeders, but at the very least have someone spend some quality time with these birds to show them that humans can be loving and they dont have to be so terrified... Which brings me to the worst reason for my low rating of this store that we used to love to come to... The final bird was a Pineapple conure they had in a glass enclosure that actually brings me no complaint as it was a very nicely sized and livable cage for a conure... however, upon attempting to get the bird out, the associate yet again chased the bird all around the cage while the the poor bird constantly fluttered away, smacked up against the glass walls, and got its feet caught in the floor grates of the cage... Looking at the birds wings revealed that its flight feathers had nearly all but been clipped until they were simply stubs with very little blue color left and to our dismay, the associate continued to chase the poor bird around the cage. Suddenly, the associate said "Uh oh, let me go get some paper towels because theres dry blood on the perch"... So she went and got a huge wad of paper towels and continued to chase the bird... Finally, Id had enough of seeing the failed attempts to get the bird out and asked if she could unlock the other side of the cage so I could assist her in getting the bird safely out of the cage... Eventually we did manage to get the poor baby out and I immediately began searching for the wound... it was on his wing where he had a bleeding blood feather... For those who dont know, a bird can quickly bleed to death if a blood feather is pulled or damaged... I told her to take the bird to a manager and let them see that this was an emergency and so she did... We dont know what happened after that... Why do I write all of this? First, this Petco needs to have a fully trained and engaged bird manager and associates so that these poor babies do not end up like this ever again... Second, the deplorable conditions in which we found these birds was saddening to both me and my husband since we have a Pineapple conure of our own and care for her deeply... Petco, get it together... I dont want to have to report animal abuse, but I will...

I use to like to shop in this place for my marine tank, but this place is looking more like a dump, the marine display case looks trerrible uncare for. Most of the tanks displays has dead fishes in them. The frag tank should be shut down horrible they surely dont know how to care for marine fishes and coral. Went in today they finally corrected the issue with the frag tank. The marine fish tanks still had dead fishes in them, and a few on there way of dying. Like i said before this place really need management to get involve they give Petco corp a bad, bad name of the way they treat there live stock. Again in today and note picture dirty tanks. This place should be boycotted you go in any given time an fishes are dead floating in tank, spoke to the manager Mark seem to have. No care attitude make excuses for how the fish section looks and blames being shortstaff as the issue. As a Manager maybe he should take ownership and handle the care of the fish section himself. Really unprofessional I guest Petco gets what they pay for.

25 min I waited to get my dogs signed in for grooming.I took an early lunch to be able to take my dogs to Petco The girl behind the counter was certainly pleasant and even apologized for the inordinate wait, but that doesnt make the experience any more pleasant. No one wants to wait around with a nervous dog or two..... Streamline the process. The two customers before me, asked common questions, like How much for this or that. How about clearly posting the prices so by the time its your turn you KNOW what you want for you pets grooming. Better yet, let me do everything online and have an express check-in to sign in at the store so all I have to do is drop my dogs off. Folks, this is not rocket-science. For heaven sakes make it faster and smoother.

I had such a horrible experience at this place, Im definitely not coming back. I left my dog at Petco for grooming and then two hours later they called me telling me he had a bad behavior, so they left him half shaved. That was on Friday, July 22. Ive never seen my dog so sad, I thought it was because he was half shaved, but then I decided to call a vet because he wasnt eating, and barely waking, the vet told me he has back pain. I dont know what they did to Bob, but hes hurt and I dont recommend this place. I had to spend 235 with his treatment, because of their unprofessionalism.

I warn all of you donot go to this location poor staffing and people that dont know what they are doing. I went to adopt a guniea pig and tney didnt even know what the sex was, they gave me a male and told me it was a female I had to go back and get a female. Not to mention the man that was helping me was very aggressive when handling the guniea pigs. I did adopt a female guniea pig from them and now im almost 300 dollars in vet bills to try and get her healthy again. This location is garbage. All their animals are sick and infested with mites. AGAIN DO NOT GO HERE!
