Okay, I gave Imperial Motors 2 stars so let me explain and you can be the judge. I went on Car Gurus and found what looked like a great deal at Imperial Motors. I am a 3 hours drive away so I called and spoke to a Salesman Mario. I am very interested but I am 3 hours away so I would have to negotiate via phone before I drove all the way there. I tried to negotiate the price down just by $1,000.00 he became disinterested in the sale and would not get back to me after a few attempts to call them back to ask more questions. Mario finally picked up his phone after calling several times. He said he was busy with other customers. I was able to speak to the sales manager in the absence, in the defense of Imperial Motors. They were fixed on the list price and would not come down. Even with my own financing 5k down and a easy transaction for them they still would not budge. Good for them bad for me. Fast forward... after long discussions with my wife I bit the bullet and decided the truck look so nice advertised on their website that I would come out of pocket that exceeded my budget and purchase the truck. I called them and told them I was going to make the 3hr one way trip up to them to test drive and ultimately procure this truck. They said great (Go figure). I had decided that I would pay a 3rd party mechanic $65.00 to do a presale inspection on the truck after I test drove it. It was a 2011 Chevy 2500HD 4x4. I arrived at the dealership and they had the truck parked out front waiting for me. It was a beautiful truck, just like the pictures. My first impression was they must have sprayed a ton of carpet cleaner inside this truck. It was a heavy dose of cleaner enough to give the least sensitive person to smell "like me" a freaking headache. I can deal with this smell for now and eventually it will get better but what were they trying to cover up??? The next thing that caught my attention was the (TPMS) lights were on. A sensor that looks like this (!) on the dash. That was odd and concerning. I test drove the truck anyway. I took it to the 3rd party mechanic for the pre sales inspection for added peace of mind. This is where things get very confusing. The 3rd party mechanic gave me a two page print out of everything that is wrong with this truck. I could not believe I drove 3hrs and Imperial Motors of Fredericksburg knew of my arrival and they would try to sell me a truck that had so many things wrong with it!?! The biggest thing the 3rd party Mechanic said was the 4x4 did not work. What?? Yeah, they said the 4x4 did not work! I thought that was strange because I tested it myself and it worked in 4 hi and 4 low just fine when engaged. Then they went down the list of all the different (CODES) their computer found. (TPMS) (ABS) (4 different codes for the trailer brakes). The breaks were at 2/32 and noise coming from the rear-end (Whatever that means) and I never hear any noise. Anyway, I was livid that I drove all the way up to Fredericksburg and Imperial Motors tried to sell me a piece of crap that was advertised and verbally sold as a solid truck. I went back to speak with Mario and the sales manager about this and they were in disbelief and ensured me that they would never try to sell me a truck in that condition. That and I quote "If that truck had that many problems with it, it would have never passed their inspection that all of their vehicles go through and they would have sent it back to auction. So they asked me to get a second opinion on the truck through a trusted mechanic (meaning their mechanic) After inspection the 2nd time their mechanic said the 4x4 worked fine and the breaks were at 4/32 not 2/32, no noise from the rear-end and all the codes were due to the aftermarket wheels not having the TPMS sensors installed. Imperial Motors installed all 4 TPMS Sensors and that fixed the problem. All is good with this truck and it is a SOLID truck. I purchased the truck and since then I had to replace the breaks and the exhaust manifold has a leak. Freaking awesome! Buyer Beware is all I can say.

I located the car through carfax read the carfax report and decided I wanted to purchase it and I did just that. I purchased it at the Stafford location on September 16, 2016. After purchasing it I called the the salesman back telling him of the problems I found with it. The radio, windows and mirrors didnt work. The brakes were spongey feeling and it had a vibration when thy were applied. I live an hour and a half away from them. Within a week ( September 21st) I had to have the oil changed because the computer said 0% oil life. The salesman said it had just been inspected and it had a current VA sticker in the window. I live in Maryland and I have it inspected (October 8th) and it fails. The ASE certified mechanic says you need to return this vehicle its a safety hazard. I call them back to relay what was told to me, they say he is with a customer he will call you back. I call again. The Md inspection report reveals the car has major safety issues and they were: tire rod ends, upper and lower control arms, oil leak, brakes, rack and pinion, and tires with different speed ratings. I contact them again and they set me up an appointment (October 10th) with Metri Car Stero in Fredricksberg to have the radio, windows and mirrors fixed. On October 3rd I make a follow up call to inquire about the parts and he assumes me the parts will be there when I arrive. I arrive and Don the owner of Metric Car Stereo asks if I had the parts. I shouldve known better. I call they tell me that Carmen at the Highline office is working on getting the parts to us. well Don is half way done with the radio and still no parts. I have to drive up to Radledy Chevy to retrieve the part for the windows and the mirror switch had never been ordered. Carmen who was supposed to have been getting parts was off due to the holiday. Now I have the car re-inspected (October 15th) in Va and it should have never passed Va inspection. Now I cant get tags for MD. The salesman says I bought the car "As is" and the Owner Mr. Waheen will not do any repairs I need to check with the warranty and see what they fix. As is means inspection ready. If I bought it as is then why did they reimburse me for the oil change and start making repairs? To me these people prey on those that have less than perfect credit and dont stand behind their products they sell. Shady dont trust them.

I called them to see if they had a car in stock, they said they did.I drove from richmond to fredericksburg to see the car, it wasnt there. the salesman working told me the car had been moved to their stafford location and i could see it there. i drove from fredericksburg to stafford, the car wasnt there either. i called back to the fredericksburg location, the salesman had left for the day. i then spoke to someone claiming to be a "manager" whom told me the car was being detailed and repaired, thats why it was at neither location. he apologized and told me the car would be ready the next day, and that he would "personally" call me when it was ready. mid-day came around the next day and still no call, so i called. i spoke to what sounded like a receptionist who told me the "manager" was on another line and took a message. i never got a call back, i never saw the car, ill never buy a car from these scam artist as long as i live!! such horrible treatment, i wasted time and money (in fuel costs) for no results at all. it would be different if i saw a car and just didnlt like it, I STILL DONT EVEN KNOW IF THEY EVER HAD THE CAR!! dont buy from these guys, their entire inventory consists of auction cars/repo units (i used to sell cars, and i know where they get them from), and it appears to me that they dont take the time to properly check their vehicles before displaying them (because any car that all of a sudden has to be pulled off the lot for "repairs" wasnt checked in the first place). i hope an employee from their "business" reads this: the average consumer buys a car once every 5 to 7 years. which means, its an important purchase! selling someone a piece of junk to make a quick buck not only ruins theyre confidence in automotive dealers, they will tell EVERYONE they know not to buy from you! word-of-mouth advertising can be the best AND WORST advertising you get!!!! remember
