I bought a CPO Prius from the Stafford Rosner dealership on January 7th. The following day, I realized that the APR, 6.19%, was not the percentage I thought we had discussed during the sale. During which, I brought up that I had considered going to my bank for a car loan, my salesperson, Jasonte Hicks pulled up the bank’s website, informing me that I could only receive an APR as low as 3.59% through them. Before I was passed off to the Finance Manager DJ Diehl, Jasonte remarked that it was interesting that I had never taken out a loan before (I assume he noticed this after they ran a credit check on me). The Finance Manager DJ did not offered me any financing options for a car loan nor discussed the APR, instead focused on convincing me to pick packages and give me a number of forms to sign. Perhaps, if I am being charitable, there was a breakdown of communications and the dealership did not mean to take advantage of a first time buyer with no experience in handling loans. But what followed was actually more painful than having my wisdom teeth literally drilled out of my mouth with a lacking supply of Novocain and an overabundance of nerve ending in said mouth. I returned the next day after noticing the APR, feeling very misled and taken advantage of. The floor manager explained to me that there was nothing they could do for me and encouraged me to refinance with my bank. So following their advice, I "refinanced" my car through my bank whom also offers their own gap insurance. This was challenging because the account had not been generated for Toyota Financial Services and was I was unable to contact them get the correct pay off amount or per diem interest until January 16th. At the same time, I sought to remove the gap insurance that I had received through Toyota. The floor manager told me that if I paid my car off to Toyota Financial Services within the first month, that I would be reimbursed the full $695 for the gap insurance offered to me by my dealership. When I attempted to remove the insurance January 12th, Finance Manager DJ told me that I couldn’t at the moment but would be able to closer to the end of the month. He gave me his e-mail so that I may inquire about the progress. I sent an email on the 28th of January and received no reply so I came in on Sunday to talk to DJ in person. He then informed me that he had not been in his office on Thursday but asked someone to check the status of the gap insurance. I was finally informed on Sunday that I still could not cancel the GAP insurance despite requesting a cancellation on three separate occasions. DJ told me he sympathize with me wanting to “get this done” but did not offer to assist me in any form after that, I left his office frustrated and angry that the cancellation would not be able to be completed in the first 30 days of receiving the GAP. The next available time I had to go into the dealership was the 18th of February. I finally received a cancellation form through Robbie Satterwhite but was informed I now would have to pay a cancellation fee as well as refund determined by a pro-rata method. As of March 14th, I have yet to receive the refund. While the car is exactly what I wanted, this whole experience, if you can call what has dragged on for months, has soured what could have been a very joyful first car buying moment.

Where do I even begin....initially I had to have my car, 2007 sienna minivan, dropped off overnight because dealership was closed early--it was Sunday night. It is now Thursday morning and my car is STILL in there- for MECHANICAL ISSUES. I paid $1700 to replace alternator, battery, dry belt, and water pump. Labor fees alone was $1000- blatantly overcharged and just downright ridiculous. I say this because after they originally replaced all the parts, I took it home Tuesday night--only to find out once I got home, all the coolant had leaked out of my car and there was a whole bunch of smoke coming out from where the engine was. Freaking out, i called the dealership back (the guys name is Josh--apparently the only Josh in the service department) and he said to bring it back in......WHAT?! Those overpaid, inexperienced mechanics are the ones that screwed up, took all my money, and now youre asking me to drive 45+ mins. out of my way to bring the car back?! No, i demanded them to tow it back themselves--which they did luckily. So all day Wednesday I had been waiting for the problem to be fixed--apparently when the mechanic went to put a new pipe in, it bent the O ring in the gasket--amateur idiots. So I got a call once it was fixed, only for Josh to tell me there was ANOTHER issue--the check engine light had come back on and when they ran a test, a code came up for another possible issue...which meant I had to leave the car there overnight AGAIN for them to run a diagnostic. It is now Thursday morning and I am still waiting....really, how long does it take to run a diagnostic. I am just speechless at the amount of times I have been told false information, been lied to, and the best part of all--they didnt even provide me with a rental car. Yup, my car has been sitting at the dealership this entire week so far and they have not provided me with an alternative for me to get around. If they tell me that i have to pay again to get the problem fixed for the code that came up, i will explode on them. I will not be paying them another penny--they better fix the problem themselves or tow the car back to my house because I will not be driving 45 mins. to go get my car which would not have gone back for the second time had it not been for those inexperienced mechanics. Ive never bought a car at this dealership before, but after the experience Ive had with their service department, I will NEVER buy a car here. My service guy, Josh, was extremely nice and very helpful so I have nothing bad to say about him. However, the people that have been working on my car--they lie, say your car is fixed and good to go when it isnt, and dont even apologize for it. Will not be bringing my car back here for service.

We gladly purchased our car and went ahead and bought the highest level extended warranty. We drove the car home and loved the ride but not so much how dull the headlights were. Time went on (about a month) and a light came on saying the auto level sensor for the headlight was messed up. I took it in for an oil change and asked that they check the light too. I waited for (no joke) 6 HOURS in their waiting area for my car to get the oil change. I could not wait any longer so I told them to just finish the oil and we would have to check the headlight later. Brought the car back a few months later (still under warranty)... I asked them to look at the headlight and they said it wont be under warranty, the car was sold as is. It was not. Then they said i bought thr lowest level warranty and it wouldnt be covered. But they couldnt check on it on the weekends anyway so they would have to look and call me on the next business day. Took them 4 hours to change the oil then after fighting with them about the headlight they came out and said "the headlight looks fine". The sensor warning light came on when we drove off. i found my paperwork and thr car was NOT sold as is and I bought the highest warranty available which would have covered the issue we were having. So over $1,000 on a warranty they wouldnt let me use, wonderful. Took the car back again and this time scheduled an appointment for 8:00 in the morning. 6.5 hours later my car still had not even been pulled into the garage. This is the WORST place EVER!!! If you buy a car here except nothing to be taken care of after you purchase it. Look at it as you are buying an as is car and forget about the perks I bought a car at shirlie slack years ago and that was best experience yet. After our purchase at Rosner we needed another car and ended up going to CarWeb in Falmouth, MUCH better experience there! If your looking for something with the perks like Rosner go to Pohanka, they take care of you even after youve had the car and service is FAST.
