THe Millworks department at this Home Depot is pretty attrocious. the employees working there are unhelpful and unprofessional. The first associate i spoke with made me feel like i was wasting his time asking him questions about patio sliding doors. He constantly said he couldnt give me any idea of costs until i paid 30 dollars for a measurement to be done. I finally relented paid for the measurements and went home to wait for this to be completed. I returned 3 days after the measurements were done, and was told they were not available still. additionally no one working that day knew how to work the system and ask me to come back the next day. I returned two days later, and was again told the measurements were not available. i complained that i was told to come back the day before and the measurements would be available. this employee was obviously annoyed at my dissatisfaction and investigated it further only to magically find the measurements. Why the computer systems dont talk to each other is beyond me. he then proceeded to explain to me that the costs of installing a new door would cost $600 (6-7 different 50-100 dollar charges for additional installation stuff) in addition to the standard 500 dollar installation costs. I decide i can at least hear what the final price will be, but the millworks employee just doesnt seem to be interested in helping me. Each time i ask about a different type of door (wood vs. composite vs. fiberglass) he just brushes off my inquiry saying he can only do the initial option (the most expensive wood door). finally i get fed up and decide this isnt worth my time, and tip my cap to Home Depot for conning me out of $30 dollars. Home Depot is great for buying stuff, and returning stuff, but i wouldnt use them for any sort of contracting work. I used to love Home Depot, but now ill go to Lowes instead.

Ive never taken the time to complain or been a person to complain. However, after my experience ordering blinds I will never look at Home Depot the same. Do not ever order blinds from here! From start to finish my experience was absolutely horrible. Working with one in particular associate in the department was like working witha dopey 70 year old lady who lacks basic social skills and professionalism. Frankly Im unsure how she still holds a job at Home Depot. I sat for 2.5 hours while she created a very basic order that she got wrong 6 times all while we had to do the basic math for her. While this is happening another associate sitting next to her in flooring keeps looking at us saying "Im so sorry" multiple times. After painfully sitting there we left and she stated they would be ready Sunday morning. Come Sunday at noon I arrive. No blinds. Instead I got to listen to her complain the entire time while she cut my blinds for 2 hours. If you were wondering, she really hates her coworker and its all their fault they werent ready. The things she was saying was mind blowing! Ill stop here. Lets just say things got worst when they didnt have enough blinds and Mary said there was "nothing I can do". The only positive experience from this was management. Tim and Sean are great-they turned this situation into a some what positive experience. Seeing how they bend over backwards [made 2 trips to my house which is 35 mins away from the store to fix multiple mistakes that could of been prevented if it was done right the first time] for their customers showed they truly did want to fix the problem. I appreciate all their help. Thankfully I wont be needing blinds anytime soon.

Terrible selection, staff that would rather ignore you than lend a hand. I was loading sheets of oak plywood and after 7 employees passed me struggling, the first person to stop and help was a customer who didnt even speak English. Oh and to top it off I was accused of stealing on the same visit by one of the same employees who passed me earlier. I contacted management and got a call from the store manager who claimed next time I come in to ask for her. S I went to buy 4,000 ft of wood flooring and after 1 hour of not being able to get any assistance I went to the front and asked for the very same name, it turns out I received the name of some one who hasnt worked there in years......so I went to Lowes. There is a new one in fairfax, and although it may be smaller if is clean, easy to find what you need, shelves are labelled, oh and people help you!!!!!

Look plain and simple, I have had such a hard time all day getting anyone on the phone at a few other locations (falls church and Springfield). When I did finally get someone on the phone after waiting on hold for an actual 30 mins. They barely spoke english and put me right back on hold for another 25 mins! I only waited to speak with a manager at that point and complain, its 1030 am do you not have employees? Anyway, called FFX HD up and got right on the phone with a knowledgable associate and got my answers fixed up within 5 minutes. Hung up remembered another question for a different department, and got right on the phone with a rep. 5 stars and a great customer service program for HD of FFX.

This Home Depot has the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. I went to buy a new water heater. Not only did they refuse to deliver to my home, no employees offered to help me load the water heater into the truck that I had to rent from them. To top it all off, when I came home I found out that Home Depot sold me a defective heater with large dents at the bottom and the top. Needless to say I will never come back to this store again. Maybe if I want to buy broken products or get terrible service, I’ll come back.

The staff at this Home Depot is incredibly helpful and hardworking, especially Julian. We purchased a ton of mulch and soil and it was seamlessly loaded into our truck. Thank you for such a great experience! The staff isnt allowed to take tips, which is ridiculous since they spend hours in the sun loading trucks without a single complaint. I hope this review and other great ones push Home Depot to either change this rule or compensate the staff with spot bonuses of some sort!! Thanks again.

The Good - employees really do try to be helpful. They seem to genuinely care. Selection is pretty decent, but Id be willing to forgo a few options to have better parking. The Bad - the parking lot is a hellish nightmare. It is crowded from open to close and the problem isnt helped by the fact that so much of the lot is used for garden center overflow. Move the extra garden stuff around back or have employees park there. The lot is simply insane.

I had a simple question about Christmas lighting. I asked for help and the guy said "wait there and someone will come". I waited 20 minutes and nothing. I went back agian to ask someone for help and I was ignored. MOST of the time, Home Depot has great customer service. This location diffently lost my business forever.
