There are a select few employes that are extremely welcoming and helpful, but the key were is "few". FYI - writing this as I am standing in line waiting for paint BIGGEST ISSUE RECENTLY: we have been doing a lot of painting at home over the last couple of months. In 4 different occasions we have come to get paint, poor Juan (nicest guy in the entire store) has had ZERO help. No matter how good and fast he is, one person can only do so much. So every time, we have waited at least 45 minutes in line to get paint. One evening we waited 1 hour and 20 minutes!!! Unbelievable. I should have gone to lowes. Its understandable if this happens once or twice, but its been the case every single time. Which means its NOT a coincidence, but instead a true problem. On our last visit, the hour + wait, several customers in front of us and behind us left. Two went to get the store manager, but he never showed up. How is if possible that a store manager cant make it up to the paint section to see whats going on and try to find an angle to help in a 75 minute window of time. Everyone standing at "customer service" didnt even care. You could tell they were just doing the very minimum to get their paycheck and go home. HOW CAN YOU HIRE POEOLE LIKE THAT TO WORK IN CUSTOMER SERVICE!?! They had attitudes, rude responses, and didnt care to try to help. Jose, who is always the only guy here running a department, and he is a fantastic employee and resource, goes above and beyond to help customers. No matter how mean customers are, he stills find a way to smile and help. Management at this store needs to be under scrutiny. We come here A LOT. Best employes of this store are Jose, Peggy, and Teddy.

Worst possible home depot in terms of customer service. I thought atleast in this part of my town race issues were non existent, just walk into this store to be pleasantly surprised. I needed a replacement cabinet door and walked into this department, there was a white lady by the name of Pamela who was going to help me, I waited my turn and when it came asked her to help me out with finding a suitable replacement. She pointed me to a set of cabinet doors and asked me to choose which one matches mine and she would be back in a minute as she had to help out this white gentlemen who came up behind me. I waited for close to 15 minutes, while she sat down to help this white guy. I waited for close to 15 to 20 minutes and even walked by her desk but no she doesnt even freaking look up as if I were non existent. This probably is the worst I have ever experienced, either commercial customers are given preferential treatment (which HD says is not the case) or the reason I state.

We contacted sales representatives at the Blinds Department of Ashburn Home Depot back in May. They sent a measurement person in to my house in June 2014. We went there to place the blinds order on July 4th. It is been six months, I still have not received the right blinds for my windows. I have been calling so many times for the expediter but she does not pick nor she calls back. It is so much frustrating for me. After I receive the right blinds, then I have to call the installation guy to install them. He came two times already but he has to come one more time once I will have the right blinds. I did not expect that it takes one year to install blinds in my house.

Dont bother calling. After selecting the correct dept. on the phone menu I was transferred three times, all to a female employee who was not only not from the dept. I selected but she was impatient and rude. She didnt even give me a chance to speak before transferring me. I was on hold so long I had to hang up and call back just to connect with someone again. At that point I was very unsatisfied and I let them know. Then I got good service. 20 seconds of someones time. Was it that hard? When I go in person customer service is excellent, but over the phone they suck. Its sad when you only do your job when there is personal accountability.

Employees cannot find items beyond telling you what theyre handheld inventory device indicates. Its no more helpful than using the app on your phone. Also, I was in line for 5 min yesterday evening. Upon being next in line to checkout the clerk at register 2 turns off his light and says "Im closed, go to register 1" which was only other register open besides self checkout. I had my 2 children with me that are under 3 and dont understand patience. I then had to wait in line at register 1 for another 10 minutes. Bottom line: not a customer friendly location. The Sterling location is much much better at customer service.

The employees at Home Depot have been friendly, especially Pamela (who is no longer at that store) and Chuck. We always feel very welcomed, even when we have issues with our orders..... I have to comment on the review regarding Pamela. Unfortunately the reviewer below made some startlingly incorrect assumptions about her. She has been nothing but professional and kind to my "blended" family. Before making such a awful comment regarding race, he should really do some research.Even though his review is from many months ago, I hope he will re-consider his message and obvious mistakes.

The worst management ever! Ordered a custom made door. Took my old door there as they requested. They took the measurement of my door and placed the order with the WRONG dimensions! The store manager is not willing to take responsibility and fix an error that obviously belongs to them. More than that I was told that even if I bring it back Ill be charged 15% restocking fee!!! Imagine that, they mess up your order and willing to rip you off further! I DO NOT recommend this store. There are better stores to shop for your home. Avoid Home Depot like plague!

Poor customer service. No call button at the cutting center. Employees just walk by and dont bother asking if you need help. Some of them are on their phones. When I asked an employee of someone can operate the cutting machine he points to another employing heading off in another direction on a fork lift and tells me to wait for him to come back. Waiting over 15 minutes. About to leave. Next time Ill stick to Lowes and I dont have this issue.

The staff and management are wonderful and extremely supportive. The Rock Ridge Drama Scenic designers, painters and props team always find friendly employees willing to help navigate to the best materials and tools. A special thank you to Frank, Joe and the Greenway Home Depot for helping us get the pallets we needed for our fall play. I love shopping at a store that has great prices, great customer service and supports our kids and community!

I call this location with a fairly simple question, I dialed the extention to speak with a customer service associate, my phone was on 10% battery, my phone died before anyone picked up the phone, roughly 22 minutes. I then called back with my other phone and waited another 15 or so minutes before I just gave up.
