I have worked in the customer service industry for many years, and I understand the value of providing excellent service. As a result, I tend to have high expectations. With that being said, I had one of the best overall customer service experiences Ive ever had from the team at Trek. Each person Ive worked with was patient, knowledgeable, and honest. I worked extensively with Steven and Shane as well as Chad. I visited 3 other bike stores in the Columbus area and none came close to providing me with the exceptional experience I had with the Trek team. I ended up making a substantial purchase that I feel very confident about. I initially walked in knowing nothing about biking and left with useful working knowledge about my bike and how to care for it. These guys really care about their customers and make recommendations based on your needs with attention to safety. Im now a lifelong customer. Thanks Steven, Shane, and Chad!

After a hit & run bike incident, it was imperative that I invested in the best and brightest safety tools and technology for my bike. A friend suggested I visit the Trek Bicycle Store on Sawmill Road in Dublin/Columbus, Ohio. I HIGHLY recommend this store. Great people and a positive service experience…from the help I received from opening the door to addressing my bike safety, nutrition and riding needs, the folks at Trek were great. I purchased a Bontrager Flare R Tail Light, and unfortunately the light fell off while riding on a busy street. Thanks to the helpful and courteous customer service team at Trek on Sawmill, they offered a full exchange to replace the tail light that had fallen off my bike during Pan Ohio Hope Ride. I highly recommend both Trek Bicycle Shop and the Bontrager Tail Light!

If youre in the market for a road bike, skip the Trek store. Ive got no issue with Trek bikes (I love mine) but surprise, surprise, going to the corporate store was a dismal experience. I knew going in that the service would be more expensive than in independent bike shop, but there were specific parts I needed, so I gladly paid for the convenience. Just a simple tune up--tighten brake cables, put on a new chain and derailleur bracket. Paid $116 for this. Didnt pay for them to ding up my custom paint job and align my brakes crooked. Had to do a significant amount of tuning myself afterwards for the bike to be rideable. Plenty of independent bike stores carry Treks, so save yourself the trouble and cash and go to a place where theyll actually get your bike back to you in a rideable condition.

Overpriced, arrogant. Terrible return policy and poor fits. The customers best interest is not at heart. They are more concerned with selling you stuff or services you dont need. If you want a trek bike, go to a different Trek dealer in the Columbus area. Do not buy RedShield Warrant Plans. Do not get suckered into the credit card, the interest rate is very high. FYI - The Trek Stores of Columbus are not corporate stores. "The Trek Stores of Columbus" are locally owned, which is too bad, because a corporate store would at least make the effort. Try Roll: or Paradise Garage. Performance Bikes is close and they have a better return policy. Remember, your bike is only as good as the shop that stands behind it.

Wow. What an experience. My wife and I have been struggling to teach our 7 year old how to ride a bike. With a friends recommendation I reached out to Jon at Trek and asked if he could teach my son how to ride a bike. I also told him I would be happy to pay him for his services. Not only he agreed to help us but he also did it for free of charge. To top it off, it took my son 5 minutes to learn. We need more people like Jon to go out of his way to help customers. We were very happy. To show our appreciation, we bought some items there but I will definitely frequent their location. Thanks Jon!

I have been looking at getting a bicycle, and looked at Sports Authority and Dicks Sporting Goods, and was dissatisfied with Trek as well. It might be because they are 95% about cycling/racing/mountain bikes. I was looking for a cruise bike, and the sales guy tried to tell me I didnt want that kind because i wasnt old enough! I wasnt looking for a childs bike! i wasnt asking for what you WANT me to buy. The bike he suggested was about $150 more then the 3 cruiser bike they had that i was actually interested in. When i want to be like Lace Armstrong, then MABE ill be back.

Overall experience was great. My wife and I are not experienced bike riders and walked in with a lot of questions. A sales associate name Griff welcomed us as soon as we got in the door and was great throughout explaining different kinds of bikes. We explained we wanted something that can be universal but mostly bike path, road-like, but can be versitile because we have kids. He showed different price points and styles and did not try and up-sale us into a high priced bike. And with the help of the manger, Chad, we had a great experience and happy with the bikes we bought!!

"Jon" helped out pick a Trek for my 6 year old. He took his time, very patient and professional to help us out. Also ironically helped out with a milestone in his life, teaching my son how to ride a bike without training wheels for the first time (we simply asked and he didnt hesitate to say yes even though I dont think its within his job description). When my son is ready for his next bike or we need another one, we sure will be seeing Jon. We also serviced our other bike and they have been very helpful to take care of us. Great store, great employees!..

Arrogant sales associates that made me feel like I was bothering them to ask questions. They were more interested in talking to each other about where they were going to ride on the weekend than helping me. When I finally did get the sales associate to see when I bike was in stock on his computer, it was interrupted by a 10min long personal call. How do I know this? Because he did it right in front of me. Worst customer assistance I have EVER seen. Update: Went to the store on Lane Ave. Sales associates were much more helpful and friendly.

Hands-down the best service department in the city, especially for high-end bikes. I wont take my Madone anywhere else. These guys really know their stuff and are friendly and easy to work with. Matt and Paul pay attention to even the small details that many mechanics overlook. They know their stuff and can talk at length about the nuances of cable routing, tire materials, spoken tension, etc. But you dont need to know any of it. You can just hand over your bike to them and know its going to come back completely dialed in.

I bought my first road bike from the Trek store (on Sawmill) last fall and had a great experience with the salesman (Mikey) finding the right bike, pedals, shoes, etc. I just took my bike in for my first tune-up (after the initial break-in period) and the mechanic (Paul) was awesome... he went over the bike thoroughly and explained the adjustments that he made to it. And he took the time to listen to and answer all my questions. Very passionate people!
