I had a Mustang that was great for the year I had it. I upgraded to a 2008 Dodge Dakota. From day 1 the vehicle had issues. Dr. Auto couldnt figure out what was wrong. A wrongly installed lift kit broke all the front end supension parts including the 4 wheel drive differential. They kept replacing parts. I had to take my time to call The Dodge Dealership and figure it out. The Truck had also been wrecked to a state of totaled out. It wasnt reported on the Car Fax. Then it was leaking transmission fluid and the rear end was going out. The left axle that had been replaced three times was bad again. The upper ball joints needed greased after three months after they were replaced. When Dr. Auto took the lift off the Dodge Dakota, they left the nut off my left shock, didnt tighten the right shock nut, and left the rear end U bolts sideways. I took the truck to two different mechanics who said it wasnt worth repair because it wouldnt stay fixed. I lost thousands of dollars. Automasters did help with some of the repairs. This all happened within 6 months of purchase. They let me trade out for a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 less than 90 days ago. I had to put 1500 down after I just put 2000 down on the Dakota 6 months befor this. I drove the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 to see my family in Ohio because my Grandmother and Grandfather are in bad health. The Check Engine light came on. The truck started mis firing on Cylinder 5. I changed the spark plugs, wires, egr valve, and the coil pack on cylinder 5. The spark plugs were bad before I bought the truck. The wires were from 2005! Drove the truck back to Tn and no Check Engine light on. Went to work Monday and home with no issue. Monday night Check Engine light came back on. Cylinder 5 mis fire. Indicating something wrong internal of the engine. The truck also doesnt communicate with an OBD2 scanner, leading me to believe Dr. Auto did something to it. Went to work Tuesday morning and the truck started to over heat. I parked the truck and they towed it to Dr. Auto. Dr. Auto says it needs $2000 of work. Auto Masters is telling me I have to pay for it. How can I if I just put $1500 down on the vehicle? Ive been a loyal customer and payed my payments on time. I also sold 5 vehicles in less than a year for them. Not anymore after all this crap. There are also two men who work at Drive Now in Murfressboro Tn who quit working for Auto Masters because if people being done wrong. Then they back you in a corner because they think they can.

Absolute nightmare to work with. If you are thinking of buying a car from Automasters, you are taking a large risk. Make sure you have a certified dealer check the car before finalizing the deal. Most dealers will charge around $80-$90 for this service. Best money you will spend for peace of mind. Do not compulsive buy from these guys. Know that they offer no warranties on their used cars, not even 30 days. They also install a gps tracking device in the vehicle until paid off. Read the fine print in the purchase agreement regarding potential major defects with their cars i.e. Engine oil leaks, cracked block or head, belts missing, abnormal exhaust discharge, faulty transmissions or drive shafts and much much more. The car I bought had a massive oil leak the day after driving it off the lot that caused numerous other issues in the engine. The leak only appeared after driving it over 10 miles. They fixed it after two very painful attempts and inconveniences and put me through a very painful process. The only thing that saved me was that I took the car into a licensed dealer who did a complete analysis of the car to determine all of the issues. After presenting the certified dealer/mechanic report to Automasters, they thanked me for identifying the issues so their "best" mechanic could now finally fix the problem that they obviously missed. Once they fixed the leak, they would not give me paperwork on what they fixed. Very shady. Also, they took two months to get the actual license plates. I had to go back twice to get temporary licenses as they would not simply send me a replacement in the mail as I live an hour from the dealership. I will say the Manager, John was the only customer service oriented person in the entire place and did take ownership of the issues I experienced. Its never good when the sales person who sold me the car actually had to apologize to me.

We bought a car at this dealership, and were fairly happy with the car, but the service just downright sucks. I contacted them a week before our second drive out tag expired ( because they told us they could only give us 2 drive outs ), and was told that our "meetal" plate was not there yet and we needed to contact them on Monday. We mailed our payment to make sure it got there on time assuming that we would have to park the car until they got our plates. I called them Monday and explained the whole thing over again, and told them I mailed the payment to make sure it got to them on time. They acted like I was trying to get over on them, and told me to call Tuesday afternoon to see if the payment was received, and they would release my metal tag. I called Tuesday afternoon and was told my payment was received and I could come in that evening and get my plate. Upon arriving, I had to wait in the lobby 10 minutes after fighting traffic cross town for an hour only to be told that I couldnt get the metal plate until they got the temp tag back, and furthermore, I cant get the metal tag because "one" of the GPS devices they install on your car so they can track you wasnt responding. So my wife will have to drive to work 3 counties away with expired drive outs, then drive 2 counties from there to some fly by nite car mechanic to get the gps fixed then go to automasters to get her tag. We made a good downpayment and two ontime payments, and in return, we got a decent car that we are happy with, and a bunch of BS that we are NOT happy with.

If I could give them a 0 I would!!! Please if you are considering getting a car from this place... DONT!!!! To start off I purchased a Limited Jeep Grand Cherokee and the next day all of the lights on the dashboard went haywire and my check engine light came on. So as I continued to drive the entire thing just shut down... i was stopped in a turning lane and had to restart my car. So I call AutoMasters with the issue and they wanted me to take it to their autoshop Dr. Auto(even shadier) so before i went there i had it checked out by advanced auto parts.. The PCM failed in the Jeep. I go to my scheduled appt at Dr Auto and Richard tried to tell me it wasnt an issue, nothing serious. After I read off the code of the computer failing in the vehicle he then confesses that they got the same thing and needed to take my vehicle to Jeep dealership. They ended up keeping the vehicle for an entire week!!! I was getting a lot of back and forth and the problem was not properly solved. Jeep dealership told me Dr. Auto erased the codes. The experience is just not worth the constant stress. If its not one thing then its another. I also just had another issue with them with my key. Dr Auto tries to get over on you to pay them. Richard quoted a certain price for towing and then when it was time to get the vehicle he tried to change it to 75 plus tax. Very unprofessional and shady. They try to take advantage of people.
