I would be very cautious when purchasing from this store. Just recently purchased a mountain bike and went here to purchase some gear. Camelbak MULE 100 oz listed on sale for $74.99. Fox Digit gloves listed on sale for $19.99. Corsa carbon bottle holder listed on sale for $24.99. Spin Doctor multi tool refualr price $10.99. First item rang up $109.00-Camelbak MULE. Immediately pointed out it was on sale. Tag clearly said $74.99. Guy wanted to argue and say they should not be on sale, but we will give you that price anyway. Really? Pulls all sale tags off Camelbaks. Second item rang up $32.99 for Fox Digit gloves. Item was directly in front of register. Again, pointed out sale tag. Guy pulls all sale tags off gloves. Its 7:55PM. You would think someone would rearrange the store during the day, not 5 minutes before they close. At this point I am ready to leave and never return with this level of incompetence. Smoked me $5.00 more on the bottle holder, but I didnt have 20 minutes to have him rearrange that section so I let it go. After walking out and having the soor locked behind me, I decide to check over my receipt as I had bought several other items. I notice I was charged $74.99 for a $10.99 Apin Doctor multi tool. Shocker, I know. I knock on the door and wait until another customer still in the store unlocks it 15 minutes later. I explain to the guy if they are charging $74.99 for a $10.99 multi tool, I just want a credit as I can find it elsewhere for $10. He argues that he did not charge me that. As I clearly point it out, he finally agrees he made a mistake. Im not even sure it was credited back correctly. I was just ready ro go after almost an hour of trying to figure out why there was a problem with every item I purchased. This company should really spend more time training their employees on customer service. Will definatly be using REI on all future purchases.

Had a great experience at the Performance Bicycle in Buford. Im writing this review after a month of owning my new bicycle and coming back to the store several times. Brian was quick to break the ice and get me the best deal in the store. I had the chance to test ride a couple bikes and ask a couple questions. Being a complete beginner, I was totally dependent upon the information given to me by the associates at the store. Brian was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I came back the next day to take advantage of a points promotion the store was offering and walked away with some essential gear and tips on how to ride. Since purchasing the bike, I had to take advantage of their LifeTime Adjustments a couple times. Both fixes only took about an hour or so. Dan and the gentlemen at the service area took care of business and made sure It was done correctly. Im very happy with my purchase, especially now that its paid off! : ) This is now my go-to cycling store.

I went there because I am new in town, but I will not be back. I knew what I wanted and was ready to buy a lot of accessories there: bike rack, saddle bags, clips, bottles, clothes etc. However, the manager told me I did not know what I was talking about and that no one who was a real mountain biker ever carries a saddle bag. I told him I knew serious mountain bikers that used them and he said that they didnt know what they are doing either. I still tried to maintain my composure, but I told him I wanted a saddle bag. He then proceeded to get an attitude with me saying that I was asking for his opinion and he was giving me his opinion and then he re-emphasized saying "you are asking for my help, not the other way around." I was in disbelief that he was so stubborn that he could not put his ego aside and sell me what I wanted without the condescending attitude. I just said thanks and walked away. Go somewhere else and save yourself the hassle.

This place has a lot of bikes at decent prices for sure, but my problem is with the mechanics. I bought 2 bikes here, just because nobody else around had them. The second bike i bought, a Marin mount vision 5 came with a misaligned derailleur and the lockout lever on the rear shock was missing. 2 MAJOR problems that any mechanic could easily fix in about 15 minutes. On the first bike i got a brake pad change and brake service, and after I paid for the pads and service the brakes were worse than they were. Buy the bike here, and take it to a real bike shop to make sure its safe.

Nice shop with good selection and seemingly reasonable prices for a retail store. Staff was friendly and helpful, though I had to immediately take advantage of the free tuning service on the bike I had bought just hours before after getting home with it and realizing the brakes werent adjusted properly and the back wheel was out of true.

I have now purchased a mountain bike (29er) and a Fuji road bike from this bike shop and have been more than pleased each time. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and not pushy in their sales techniques. The repair department is very good and quick. There is a great selection and good sales throughout the year.

I had to have my bike serviced after more than 10 years of non-use. They could have told me my cables and chain needed replacing but, they didnt. He even said my chain didnt need to be greased. My tires and tubes did need replacing and the pricing was responsible. My bike rides great again.

They are nice but dont be in a hurry. They like to take their time doing things. There were three people in line infont of me at check out and I was in like for 30 minutes. I was in a hurry. (Big mistake!) Come when you have time and you will be fine.

They aim to please. We had some trouble with a hybrid bike, they worked on correcting the problem, but the shifting was still wonkey at best...Greg promptly worked with us in finding a more suitable bike. Looking forward to riding!!

Less and less Mountain Bike stuff. Seems to be going all commuter and road bike. Almost like the stuff I bought never gets restocked and once the MTB items are gone they are gone.
