A month ago, I brought in my old Kawasaki. Im not a bad shade tree mechanic, but there was a nagging performance problem I just couldnt run down. Id done all the easy solutions and adjustments -- replaced the pilot jets, disassembled, cleaned and reassembled the carbs, checked the spark and replaced the plugs, adjusted the valves (shims), etc. -- but it was only getting worse. So this was not an easy repair, and Im not a common customer. I made the appointment, managed to limp it over to their shop, and we talked. We started the conversation in the usual way for me: "Well, it could be ." "I thought so too, which is why I did , , and ." "Well, it might be ." "Might be, but I checked and , and with measurements, it seemed unlikely." I swear, I try not to be annoying about it. I know Im not Mr. Mechanic, but Im smarter than I look. Thankfully, rather than making assumptions, they listened, and started to work with me almost immediately. I gave it to them for a day, and after a bit of struggling (hey, it was subtle), they found the root problem and fixed it. Not only that, they talked to me about some of the other things they noticed while they were there, which I found marvelously helpful. Because it was difficult, the repair bill wasnt tiny, but they told me that going in, and the total was close to their estimate. In addition, they showed me other stuff that needed attention: leaking fork seals (worse than I thought), broken cable housing, and other broken bits I hadnt noticed. Very helpful, especially when they knew Id be doing those repairs myself. The only reason I dont give them a 5-star rating is because they misplaced my keys, and I had to wait around for an hour or so while they scoured the shop, apologizing constantly until they found them. Embarrassing, but ultimately trivial. They fixed a difficult problem, and gave me extra value. Cant ask for more than that.

Decided on finally buying my wife a scooter for Christmas. After tons of research and endless visits to Craigslist searching for a used one I eventually contacted Jeremy at Cycles of Silver Spring. He and Rush are extremely personable, knowledgeable and courteous. Jeremy gave me all the time I needed and answered every question I had. He didnt hard sell me and to the contrary encouraged me to do my research. They know their products and their customers. As I was finishing up my paperwork a person walked in who clearly was a regular. It was like being in an episode of Cheers where everybody knows your name. Any shop who takes the time to know their customers and is willing to devote so much time to a motorcycle/ scooter newbie without making me feel ignorant will continue to have my business.

My 2013 Suzuki Gladius needed new tires. When I called Cycles of Silver Spring they were nice over the phone and gave me a competitive quote. I booked an appointment and when I arrived for it, my bike was taken in right away. They finished the work in the time they specified, and my bike was ready to go when I came to pick it up. They even gave me some tips on things to change on my bike that I can do myself. Super nice of them. Overall I enjoyed the experience and will be bringing my bike here for future maintenance.

Excellent shop. These gentlemen treated me with respect, and took good care of my bike. I was not treated differently because Im a woman, which Ive experienced plenty. Theres not much of an area to chill and wait, nor anywhere nearby, but thats not why I go there. They were smart to tell me they all used to work at a Suzuki dealer, so they know my bike very well for any further maintenance needs, and did not do so in a pushy way. Theyve got my business!

I just bought my first motorcycle from these guy. They were unbelievably helpful. They gave me an out of this world price on a great bike and told me everything I needed to know about it. One of the best customer experiences Ive had in auto/motorcycle industry! I had an issue from a manufacturer that had no relation to this shop but Jeremy treated it like it was his and took it upon himself to make it right. Jeremy and the crew installed a set of new tires on my Yamaha Vstar. I called ahead and they were able to squeeze me in that evening. The install was smooth and in less than 2 hours I was out the door. The time flew by as I got to chat with other customers and see all of the different bikes come through. There were two issues. 1. The battery was not charging. 2. Pops and back fire in exhaust. Took them more than 10 days to call the motorcycle is ready to pick up. They have provided bill with long list of work done and charged $550 (charged $100 for the battery which actually did not need replacement). And they did not fix anything. Looking for other shop...

Cannot say enough good about these folks.....been working with them for years and they are SO unlike your typical "get it all" shop...you know the type....do work thats not needed, only because the idiot owner suggests it....this aint C of SS - theyre straight arrow all the way! As long as Im on 2 wheels, this is the ONLY place Ill go - recommend highly!

Just spoke with Jeremy over the phone and the customer service was fantastic. Ive shopped at many other motorycle shops in the area, Heyser, Redline, Coleman Powersports, and just through telephone contact, these guys are the best. Ill write another review once I get my tires bought and installed from them.
