Purchased a white 2012 Honda Civic Si from Shingle Springs Honda 3 weeks ago. Picture should be up shortly. I want to start off by saying Amanda and Shingle Springs Honda offered the wife and I the best buying experience ever! As most of you know the Sis are extremely limited produced cars. With the tsunami in the Japan production was cut even more. I live in L.A. and would never consider buying a car over 400 miles away. However, majority of dealers out here were not negotiating this car below sticker. Some even added market value mark-up anywhere from $1,000-$10,000 above sticker. No way was that going to work with me. After couple months I decided to extend my search. Seeing Shingle Springs had a Si in stock I sent them an email with an offer. Unfortunately, they could not accept my offer at that time. To my surprise, Amanda contacted me a week later to inform me my offer was accepted, Sweet!! I also had bad credit from a bankruptcy and a trade I needed certain amount for. Amanda worked hard and got me a fair rate and offered my trade $500 more than Carmax without seeing the car first. I sent them many photos to show them the condition. Can you believe that? How can I say no after all that. A week after my accepted we made the over 400 mile and 6 plus hour drive to pick up the car. Amanda had all the documents ready for us and we were in and out in 45 minutes. Still had enough time to make it to Monterey to enjoy the aquarium and nice dinner. My wife thought I was crazy for doing this, but after meeting with Amanda. Her attitude completely changed and is actually recommending her coworkers to buy from Amanda and SSH if they were in the market, LOL. Dont hesitate to contact Amanda if you want to be well taken care of. She will do everything within her powers to make a deal happen as she did with us. I truly cant say enough good things about Amanda and SSH. Give her a call and see what she can do for you. Kenny V., Los Angeles, CA

I just purchased a new 2011 4WD Honda CRV from Shingle Springs Honda. Before contacting Shingle Springs Honda, I visited numerous "big" lots and I was completely offended and appalled by the overzealous "hard-sell" atmosphere they perpetuate against anyone who dares to set foot on their lots. I for one, absolutely refuse to accept an "I am in charge" attitude from a car salesperson who is dead-set on pressuring me into a sale. I did an about-face at those "big" lots, leaving salesmen saying, "Where are you going, Sir?!". I contacted Amanda at Shingle Springs Honda via email and requested a "Lowest possible out-the-door price". I in turn received a reasonable and acceptable bottom line price right from the get-go. I also received an assurance that I would be treated with respect, and experience a pleasant car buying experience. Shingle Springs Honda made good on that promise. I dealt only with Amanda and Chet during the purchase, and never had to deal with the typical "Let me get my Manager" run-around Ive seen with other dealers. Amanda and Chet both are patient and thouroughly explained all options and aspects. I never felt pressured or rushed. They both honered everything they stated, and gave me a fair value for my trade-in. I would whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a new Honda with a no run-around, straight-up honest car buying experience. Vince Fischer Glencoe, Ca.

Was shopping for a car. I would give them credit for going beyond my expectations. They were even worse than I anticipated. Played the, "We are not like the other dealers that give you the run around when buying a car." No, they werent like the others. They were worse. 2 days of negotiating, we left there store and they called us at home. They now said they could give us the deal we wanted but then they reneged and kept moving the goal post in their favor. I finally insisted on talking with the Sales Mgr. Sherry to voice my discuss and she claimed that her salesman was in error to give me the quote they did. She added the comment sarcastically, "You make good money, you can afford it, why would I want to sell you a car and only make a $2000.00 profit." We went to Marin Honda that evening and got the 2011 Honda Odyssey EXL with navigation in the exact color we wanted for $1000.00 less than Shingle Springs Honda. The salesman and staff at Marin Honda actually changed my impression of Car Dealers Dont ever go to Shingle Springs Honda unless you want to waste your day dealing with a dishonest salesman and arrogant sales mgr. Im not surprised there are the other bad reviews about Shingle Springs Honda and wouldnt be surprised if they went out of business. I wish I would have read this review page before going there!

Its been a week since I got my new 2013 Honda Civic. I love my car!! and thats an understatement. I didnt realize how badly I needed a new car until my old car broke down. Now I have a reliable car to drive my kids around. This would not have been possible without the help of Amanda at Shingle Springs Honda. She made the impossible possible. She was able to work her magic and get me a great deal when I had been turned down so many other times. She made me feel like family and treated me with respect. I have never felt more loved by a dealership than I did with Amanda at Shingle Springs Honda. She was not the only one but the rest of the staff, especially Oz over there helped me feel at home. He was very knowledgable and friendly that I felt he answered all my concerns and questions regarding my new car. There are not enough words to express my gratitude. The only thing left to say is that if you are still wondering if you should buy a car from here then stop it! Theres no need to wonder anymore. I made the drive out here from Natomas is was that worth it.

Purchased a 2008 Honda from this dealer and when I returned for my first oil change I was disappointed at the value of the service and the professionalism showed by the service department staff. I felt the price for the oil/filer service and tire rotation was high. Several members of the service staff were dressed poorly (holes in uniforms, pants sagging, and visible grease/dirt unwashed). No employee seemed to hustle and service time on this visit was well over 60 minutes. That’s right - my car was on the rack for over an hour. On my second attempt for regular scheduled service, dealer attempted to charge me $105 for an oil/filter change, tire rotation, and brake inspection. That amounted to a $65 charge for a brake inspection compared to the previous oil/filter change and tire rotation. COME ON, $65 MORE FOR A ‘BRAKE INSPECTION’. To be fair, another dealer quoted $90 for the above service; but I ultimately paid $63 for the service at yet another Honda dealer. I would not and will not recommend Shingle Springs Honda for service to anyone.

I came to Shingle Springs Honda for a recall on my cars airbag. Initially, I was frustrated with them, as I had called to get put on the list for the recall MONTHS ago, and they simply never called back. When I called this time, they had the parts, but had never called. Unfortunately, this meant I had been driving around with a faulty part which was LITERALLY killing people, which was quite frustrating. However, even though they were SLAMMED and busy that day, they let me just pop in and took care of it right away. I was very pleased with them, when it was all said and done. But, if youre waiting for parts on a recall, you might want to call back each week and check in with them.
