Before going into the bad experience I had, I will say that the flowers I did get are very nice and look healthy. This review is more on the customer service experience than the product itself. I was not home when the order was delivered and so they left a note to call. My call was answered by Sandra who, to be frank, was very rude to me. I called to explain that I missed the delivery and figure out what the next steps would be. She responded by first telling me it was my fault that I didnt leave special instructions that no one would be home and that I shouldnt have made an order so close to Valentines Day. I responded with the fact that I had made the order 2 months ago and dont see how this applies in my situation and that I understood that the order would not be redelivered on Valentines Day as it was later in the day. Again, she kept stating that it was my fault, but then asked what they could do to help make the delivery easier for the next day. I told her I would be home at 5 if they could make the delivery then, and her response was that they do not deliver past 3 pm and that I would have to change my schedule or location in order for the delivery to be made. All of this was done in a pretty aggressive tone which was strange as I was trying to just figure out how to get my flowers. Mind you this was Valentines Day so you would think a florist would still delivery past 3 pm as it is traditionally a busy day for florists, but it was made clear to me that they would not deliver and that I should just get over it. I also dont understand how telling me I should have left special instructions for delivery would have helped if they werent even willing to deliver after 3 pm anyways! In summary, her whole attitude and tone was very off putting and guarantees that I will not use this florist ever in the future. There were points in the phone call where she would just laugh at how stupid I was because I was expecting delivery after 3 pm. It was just a terrible customer service experience that will make me a non-customer for life. I understand I missed the delivery, but dont tell me you will work with me and then flat out refuse to deliver something because its past a certain time. Also, have a better attitude and dont laugh at people who are just trying to get flowers delivered for Valentines Day for their loved ones. Again, the flowers I did get are very nice, but I will never use McShan Florist again based on this customer service experience. Update 02/15/2017: They did indeed send over apology roses due to the experience I had, and I have bumped my stars from 1 to 3 because of the response. I really do appreciate the quick response and it has turned me from a never customer to a potential future one. The quick response makes me believe that I just ran into an anomaly for customer service and not the norm and I appreciate the responsiveness.

This week: 1). The main spray for my Fathers funeral arrived prominently featuring wilted flowers. (The funeral home is half a block away from McShan so there is no excuse for delivering old flowers.) 2). Later in the day an arrangement arrived at the funeral home without a card. We had to call to find out who it was from. 3). The day of the funeral a friend from out of town sent flowers to my home. The delivery person dropped off a plant that was for another address. My son signed for the delivery, thinking that the name on the card was the sender, not the recipient. When we opened the card we discovered the mistake and called McShans. We heard nothing back from them until the following day when we received a very rude call demanding to know why we had accepted a delivery that was not ours. They said they would send a driver for it. We had already personally taken their delivery to their customer. I asked where my delivery was and was told that there was not one for me. I asked that they check again and was told again that there was not a delivery for me. I insisted and remarkably they found one. If I had not insisted I would not only not have received my flowers but would not have known to acknowledge them. My husband and I spoke with the employee who called, then a "supervisor." Both were accusatory and rude and seemed quite put out that I actually wanted the flowers that had been ordered for me. Neither thanked us for taking care of their missed delivery for their other customer for them. (Although, I guess with their willingness to deliver wilted flowers I am sure they would have had no problem delivering an arrangement that had hung around our house for a day or two.) I would NEVER buy anything from McShan for any reason.

There seems to be a number of mixed review on here, however, I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with ordering flowers from McShans. I placed an order to be delivered on 8/20/12 for my wifes first day back to school (teacher). I placed my order over the phone. The representative I worked with was very professional and courteous. The 2 qualities I appreciated the most are as follows: 1. The rep. asked me how many of each flower I wanted, me not knowing what is normal asked him for advice, he responded by simply asking me how much I was wanting to spend, and from there took care of the rest. This took the burden of making the wrong decision off me. 2. Ive had bad luck in the past paying for AM delivery from on-line florists, or even finding that option available at all. McShans offered this service at no additional cost, it was included with the delivery fee. The flowers arrived well before noon. I would highly recommend trying out McShans if you live in the Dallas area. From what it sounds like in the other reviews, there may be issues with the online service, but I cant attest to that. I had no issue placing my order over the phone; took no more than 5 minutes. There flowers are beautiful (picture uploaded to photos section) and their service was great.

My wife received a gorgeous large arrangement from a dear friend, however once we got the flowers inside and looked at them they looked like they were not fresh. We called to let them know and they said another arrangement would be sent out and delivered either Friday around 5 or early the next morning. By noon on Sat. we called to find out what happened and was met with rudeness! We were told that they never give a time of delivery and they will get there when they get there. The replacement finally made it to our house at 4:30ish and were beautiful, however to our disappointment once again the flowers started to die the next day, yes we did water them. Im not sure the price our friend paid but Im sure it wasnt cheap! You would think that an arrangement would last more then 24 hours, maybe because it was mothers day weekend??? Thats still no excuse, they should have lasted about 5 days to a week. We will not use McShan because of this and the rude customer service. We dont want to make our friend feel bad but she should stick to her usual florist!
