You get what you pay for... Bought a 98 Exploder, I expected it would need some repairs and knew it wouldnt be as "tight" and trouble free as my 2017 Camaro SS. I just wanted Comfortable, reliable, spacious, easy to drive and cheap, Just something I could live with and not care about dings or scratches. The way the dealership is laid out, in order to test drive it the 1 older gentleman working there would have to move 6 cars to get out the exploder... So I didnt get to test drive it but gave the benefit of the doubt based on its smooth idle, good physical condition and that its a dealership, their reputation is on the line with each car. I bought it Wednesday, its friday at 2AM right now... So far I noticed, 2 huge chips in the windshield that was covered by "4x4!" and "Great bargain!" window decals, display on head unit doesnt work, 3 of 5 speakers are blown (including subwoofer), center console lid doesnt latch, drivers door lock pin is missing and the drivers door handle is floppy... Most importantly Suspension makes a thunk sound when turning (I think right front hub assembly, wheel bearing or bushings), Shocks are blown as its very bouncy and rattly over bumps and dips (like being on a boat), A/C blows hot air only (i tried recharging it, nope... Maybe condenser?) and the power steering pump groans a lot. Its 19 years old with 126K miles, I was expecting the shocks, loud power steering pump, cosmetic issues and the stereo problems... But didnt expect the thunking sound and non operable A/C. I wont know whats exactly wrong until I get it on a lift... But with the cost these repairs may be its not coming out to be so cheap after all. 3 stars because I dont think they check the vehicles thoroughly before putting them on the lot or setting their prices, Didnt mention the A/C wasnt working, the lay out of the dealership makes it so you cant test drive a car if its in the middle... But the sales guy was nice, I was expecting some repairs especially for $3K, the location is convenient and I am sure once I fix all the known issues and do all of the preventative maintenance (oil change, air filter swap, coolant/radiator flush, transmission fluid change, differential fluid change (front and rear), spark plugs etc...) that it will be a really reliable SUV for years to come.

I bought my truck here about a year and a half ago. Ive put almost as much money into the truck as i spent to buy it. I should have taken the signs as the red flag it was when i showed up to look at the truck. To begin with one car was on a battery charger because it "just kept dying". When i took the truck on a test drive we had to go pick up the couple that had just purchased a vehicle there because the engine died less than a few miles from the car lot. The engine had a catastrophic failure i came to find out. I really liked the truck and got too excited about it and didnt check it out as much as i should have. First off they said that it would pass smog, but considering the first thing i had to replace was an 02 sensor theres no possible way it would have passed smog. If i would have knowen what I was in store for i would have reported them then but i gave them the benefit of the doubt that they were honest people. My mistake. A month after i bought it the transmission failed. I went back to see if they were willing to do anything about the fact that a vehicle they sold no more than a month ago broke down. They wanted me to take it to their mechanic so it could "figure out how to use his new scan tool" on it. Since then i have had to replace thousands of dollars worth of parts their mechanic listed on the inspection as "good" or "fair". The salesman is also incredibly rude as he will interrupt you constantly while also avoiding questions about potential problems with the vehicle or making problems sound less harmful than they actually are. If you are looking for a vehicle and have the time and money to roll the dice go for it. If you are looking for a reputable place to buy a reliable vehicle, just keep driving past this place.

Beware when buying vehicle at cj auto sales Chris Howe likes to play games with customers to start with I wasnt the one purchasing the vehicle my step dad was I just happened to make the mistake on leading my money 1500 was asked for down payment didnt sign no paper work or test drove vehicle was park there the entire time came the next day to get back the cash from him because purchase never took place right away he says cant give deposit back ,ask what do you mean he claims that since he put the vehicle on hold for a week he was prevented on selling vehicle mind u returned the next day but that didnt metter he also claims he doesnt need to return cash if he doesnt want to that even though there wasnt a sign contract he recorded the conversation and is same as contract never did he mentioned no refunds nor recipient he gave states such thing let him know is not legal what he is doing then he actually said I will return deposit but in increments of $500 or if vehicle got sold and then he goes on comparing this situation about something Bill Gates did in the past which I guess had put hold s on several cars at the end he didnt buy and that their needed to be some penalties, trying to compare this situation to that not the same he doesnt seem to se it that way it seems to me he is more interested in making his own rules and teaching customers lessons so still waiting for deposit thankfully there other things that could be done such as send him to small claims and if you go to the website on cj auto sales they score high in the better business bureau cant believe this with regret of ever setting foot in this dealer ship.

This man will rip you off. I went in to purchase my first vehicle a couple of years ago by myself. He took advantage of the fact that I was a young girl and had no idea about cars. He wouldnt let me test drive my car before I bought it because there were "other cars parked in the way" but he would start it for me. Two days after I purchased the car it had a blown head gasket. I contacted Chris about this and he stated that I bought it as is, and he wouldnt fix it. I had my friends husband call his about the situation and Chris finally agreed to fix it but only at his shop. The car was there for two weeks, and finally returned to me. The car still had a blown head gasket and was never fixed. I called Chris about the situation and he stated that at that point he wouldnt fix it. I told Chris that he could keep his car and the $2500 that I already paid him for this $4000 jetta. Chris agreed and never heard from him again. He turned me into collections last month for $3000. BEWARE OF THIS SCUM BAG!!!! Just as you are posting under a different name I post to protect my identity. You have put me into collections for a car that you have taken back, and have ruined my credit so I will not be taking my post down until you refund my money and take me out of collections.
