In the past year I have purchased two bikes (one mountain and one road) and couldnt be any happier with either purchase and the overall experience at Epicenter Cycling. Upon entering the store, I am always greeted by smiling staff who is eager (but not pushy) to help me out with anything I might need. They have a full line of trek bikes, with plenty of demos to ride to get the feeling for what bike would be best. Not only is the service and staff impeccable, but this shop is located right outside Nicene Marks for great mountain biking. There are also plenty of road rides literally right outside the front door if thats more your kind of thing. Additionally there is a coffee stand inside the store featuring Surf City coffee so you can get your caffeine fix while you browse the bike shop for your cycling needs. I would recommend this shop to anyone who values good customer service, quality products, and good biking vibes!

I fouled my chain badly and thought I was looked at a wrecked gear train. The mechanic freed the chain, carefully inspected the chain and sprockets, explained what he was doing, relubricated the chain, assured me there was no damage, adjusted the derailer, carefully wiped all the grease off the bike, and returned the bike to me without charge (because I bought it there), all in about 10 minutes. This is not the first time I have had great service, both here and at the west Santa Cruz location.

There are many great bicycle shops in Santa Cruz. I chose to go to this one because my friend bought his bike here and had good things to say. I went in to replace a tube, and get some tools and information so I could do it myself in the future. Everyone was great, and Im pretty confident that I can change my tube in the future - maybe not as quickly, but you know, baby steps. They have several female mechanics and female staff. Things like that are important to me. Thanks ladies!

Hands down the most friendly and knowledgeable staff in the area. Yes the bikes are awesome, yes the prices and the free tune ups for life are really great, yes its right next to some world-class trails, but the atmosphere and community is why you should go to Epicenter. I had been to 4-5 other shops and now Im never going anywhere else. John and Victoria are especially cool if you get a chance to work with them.

After checking out 6 or 7 bike shops in the Santa Cruz area, I decided to purchase a bike at Epicenter. The guys there were by far the most helpful in town and were really willing to make sure I bought the right bike. The owner, Shawn Wilson, was especially helpful and ready to answer any questions. I highly recommend Epicenter!

I visited this wonderful shop in April. I had been shopping for a bike from Livermore down to Aptos and by far this was the best shop in the Bay Area. They fit me on a bike, changed out the stem, watched me ride, etc. The only personalized service I have ever gotten. Awesome!

Great location at the entrance to Nissen Marks for MTB, and just off Soquel Blvd for road rides!, Helpful knowledgeable staff, and they have a coffee shop to get you off to a great start or as a way to chill after a ride. This is my go to shop for anything bike related.
