Almost all of the food here is past the best by date sometimes by a year or more. found meatballs that were from 2014, the manager offered them to us at $1 and said they were pulling the rest from the shelves. a few days later we came back after having not bought them (obviously) and they were put back on the shelf for another unsuspecting buyer to pick up. its hit or miss here with the moldy cheese we got that was name brand and not advertised as past date, we are now extremely cautious about what we buy here, and we wont even go near the meat, we get that at safeway... but in a pinch if you need an ingredient here or there its ok, but i would strongly recommend checking all items and produce before a purchase.

Has a good selection of Hispanic and Asian foods, as well as American. The only place I can find jacks pizza in cheese and mogu mogu lychee drinks. They have it set up so the cashiers run two lanes at the same time, which means it takes forever to get out (no fault of the cashiers, they are some of the quickest Ive seen at a grocery store, and always nice). So, over 5 stars for the selection, but the checkout always sucks.

One of the only redeeming qualities of this store is that they are about 4 blocks from my house. The check out line set up is ridiculous and obviously a way for management to keep labor costs low by scheduling as few people to work as possible (one cashier working two lines). Prices are not great across the board, but they do have some interesting sales occasionally.

Saars is really well stocked with Asian and Mexican staples as well as everyday fare. They have the best prices on fresh produce and good prices for meat when buying in bulk. The store is very clean and organized and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

I normally go shopping there because the meat is Affordable. But Im disgusted with this place because my pork had green stuff. And the chicken was spoiled. This is not my go-to place anymore. The prices are high in a low-income area.

The staff is amazing I went an got chicken from the deli & the lady was just an absolute joy to be around, honestly saars u guys need to put a tip jar up for ur cooks :) shes the only reason Id come to ur store.

Lower prices. Low meat quality in my opinion. Iffy produce. Always stocked on everything. They have Mexican products along with some Asian dry noodle products. They also have weird checkout lines.

Very low prices for good quality food. The fruit selection has the sweetest fruit I have tasted and the deli great fresh fried food. Every time I go the staff are very friendly and welcoming.
