Wow, I go to this market all the time. I guess I came in too late or something. My receipt shows that I left a half hour before closing time. The guy that runs the store told me to leave because I was taking too long. Unfortunate. I have spent plenty of money at Hillcrest. Although he apologized when I called him by his first name, which I remember, he then shook his head when I asked for a receipt. He said he needed to smoke a cigarette. Again, WOW. Really? I guess everyone has bad days. At my job though, if I had treated a regular customer that way I would have been reprimanded or fired. Its really sad, because Ive never had a problem there before. But I will definitely think twice before going there again...

I have never had any problems with Hillcrest and I go there almost everyday. I also play soccer with someone who knows Jin and they introduced me to him a few days ago. If you have any problems with Hillcrest market maybe you should sit down and talk to the owners personally and not complain about it on the internet.

Selection isnt as interesting as City Market but the prices are often times quite literally half what they are there - 1.5L bottle of Smartwater is $2.29 as opposed to CM at $3.99. If youre in the habit of hitting up mini marts regularly, youll save quite a bit at Hillcrest over the 2 others in the area.

Terrible, disorganized management. The other review is spot on and describes Hillcrest Market perfectly. Also, Hillcrest is overpriced and dirty. Dont shop here. I wouldnt eat their teriyaki either.

Ive been going to this market for a few years and have never had a bad experience. They have re-organized some of the areas so there is a better flow to it.
