I have bought a few things from re-pc over the years. If the staff has worked on something there, DO NOT BUY IT! , the last time i bought something major (a laptop) i found that the hard drive had errors on it (NO it was not AS-IS). Not only that the hard drive was not screwed down. I had to take that laptop back only to wait 2 days for the tech to look at it. Fair enough, 2 days later I returned only to have to argue with the tech in the back room that I had given him the correct BIOS password. He wished to insist that the BIOS password was only stored in CMOS Ram when on this particular laptop (a thinkpad ) it was stored on the hard drive. Finally the tech gave in and tried it and found that i was correct, They replaced that unit with another thinkpad laptop, the Trackpoint went wonky on it 3 weeks later and I attempted again to get a working laptop from them. I really just wanted to avoid the bother of dealing with them again but alas i could not just plug a mouse in as the BIOS from the thinkpad would only recongize the trackpoint upon booting. In the end, I had to threaten to sue in order to get a refund, i told the gentlemen behind the counter he had 15 minutes to think about it and i was getting a refund or taking them to court. I got me refund but wasted about 8 hours of my own time. The sales staff are capable of being as dishonest as the sales reps at best buy, If you know what you want and you can find in a sealed package, it can be a very good place to go, with a very interesting selection. However, not a place for the novice. I was sold a laptop security kit that my laptop did not have a socket for though again the guy behind the counter said "its right there". Maybe after reading this, they will change their ways, I doubt it, but maybe a comment on google will finally force them to get with the program.

I have no idea why all these negative comments are here?. I have been a customer at this store since 2000 and every employee at REPC has been very polite and courteous to me when I went there for computer problems, pats and repair service. Every employee there has gone out of their way to help me with every problem I have and Have nothing bad to say about this company and the care they put into making their customers happy. Also, during my many trips to this company I never once saw an employee be ruce, crude or mean to a single customer and I would here people thank the workers for their time and care they took when customers were at the checkout counter. So I am baffled at those who have complained about service when I have personally seen these employees go out of their way to please those seeking their services. KUDOS to RE PC for being there,. Computer heaven! Just went 1st time ever today. Man, had I been missing out! Forget fry's! I though, for sure, that it was going to be full of CRT's and ivory dinosaur pc's. They had some great stuff and even full built pc's ( and mac's) for the noobs.
Staff was awesome. I can see why above reviewer said they have an air of superiority. Well I've been getting that stuff from men my whole life being a geeky girl. I just like to throw them off by impressing them with my Incredible knowledge of 'puters! It's fun. Tech field is different. Different rules apply.
All-and-all, they were very courteous and helpful. Pointed me in the right departments, and helped me out the doir with my new project. I'll be back!
Prices were fantastic too!

Horrible business.. I went there for a computer screen, it did not work, when I went to take it back they wanted a restocking fee.. I told them I was not going to pay the restocking fee since the product did not work, the employee was very rude and argumentative. He would not give me a refund and started to yell at me and act like it was my fault. Eventually he started cussing at me (with no provocation) and told me he was done dealing with me and walked away, the manager only then came over and yelled at him for being so rude. The manager was a little better to deal with but still not very professional at all. Hopefully he did the right thing and fired that employee, but honestly the whole staff was pretty pathetic. I would not recommend going there unless you like paying for broken items and getting yelled at by employees.

Received $100 service for a $2 part which saved me from having to replace my mobo and CPU. Id called ahead and the rep had a part already out. A $2 part! He did give some advice on replacing it, but it was not condescending at all. It was good advice too, I wouldnt have known if I hadnt watched a few videos on it. Tons of miscellaneous parts - heading back today to scrounge for an SLI bridge, tower fan, and grab an old PS/2 keyboard (or adapter) since my BIOS wont recognize USB. Before trying this place I would have had to pay through the nose and wait a few days to get these kinds of things. Ill save at least $20 and a few days of waiting by going to RE-PC instead. If Macklemore was into computers he would sing about this place.

Good place if you know what youre doing. I come here just to brainstorm sometimes. Ive bought whole systems from this place, but have also build useful stuff from scraps of metal from the bins. For instance, something to hold my cell phone up on a table made from two small computer fans, ect, ect. And other more elaborate useful gadgets. (Hint: There is a sewing supply store(velcro, cloth, ect.), an office supply store(paper, glue, ect), and a Home Depot within walking distance from here to cobble together ugly prototype looking contraptions.) Staff is mostly helpful depending on who helps you. One guy is a closed minded idiot, but other than that they are mostly extremely helpful.

It looks grungy, but it is a fabulous toy box for a computer geek. You want to recycle your old PC, theyll do that. You broke your mouse? Coffee ruined keyboard? That new monitor is missing a cable? Critical part blew and you need a cheap replacement yesterday? Its all here for less than the price of a fast food meal. 30 day warranty on most stuff, but never bought a dud. Oh, and they do have new parts and a reasonably priced, honest repair desk. No sneaky bull about trying to sell you what you dont need. Oh, and check out the free museum of old computers in the back. They have gems that the Living Computer museum doesn’t.

I started to read the comment that someone left about half-assed Rubbish. I do not understand why there is always one in the crowd that doesnt know his head from his butt. I been coming to repc for sometime. I started with Darren at the tukwila store. then worked with Charles and now working with jean. I have seen employees come and go from here. But i do want to say, every employee they have ROCKS! I am a novice when it comes to computers. But this crew takes time to help you. As long as you tell them you have no clue about what your doing. So i like to take my hat off to all of you.
