Again and again the customer service is horrible. Ive tried repeatedly in the last several years to like this place, but I leave hating it every time. I frequent stores like this once or twice a week for personal shopping and supplies for my work. Ive seen ups and downs in customer service at Micheals, JoAnnes, and Hancocks, but AC Moore is consistantly bad (not all AC Moores, just this location, the others are amazing!) Today, I had a great visit until the very end after I had paid when I realized the cashier didnt scan my coupon. No big deal, I turned to my husband and said "Hey she forgot the coupon, Well have to use it next time," and I put the coupon in my bag. I would have been on my happy little way if the cashier didnt respond with "Well it would be too late anyhow I already closed it out." I told her that it actually wasnt too late; she could have returned the items and rescanned my purchases with the discount but a hassle and I didnt care about the couple dollars it would have saved. Then I went to leave again but she said to me one more time that she couldnt do it after she had closed the check. I told her again I didnt care about the money, its about the customer service. Another friendlier cashier may have offered to go those few extra steps just to impress the customer and earned a shopper for life. Instead, she went a few extra steps to tell what she wouldnt do for me. With no customers in line or at customer service, I think she could have at least offered or admitted that she was just too lazy to do it. Finally, as I was walking out the door I heard her say "well we CAN do that it just we gotta return the items, reurn the money, scan them in again....." I say forget it. I have said to myself for years every time I walk out those doors I will never return, but I always do... and every time a new dissapointment... always different, but always customer service related

I have noticed that in Raleigh and where I used to live (Austin, TX) stores like Hobby Lobby (they were the worst), Michaels, JoAnns, Hancock etc have the slowest lines with the most miserable employees. They rarely, if ever, crack a smile. I can only surmise that they get paid terribly and take some kind of qualifying exam in order to get employment (one thing the mgmt must be looking for is that they cant think for themselves). While I like the stock I dread going in as they really dont seem to care about their customers. Oh, and the coupons are ridiculous to try and figure out what works and what doesnt. They are pretty stingy with their coupons (what is discounted). None of the stores instill loyalty.

When I initially came here they filled out a reward card for me to be able to track purchases and points. A few weeks later I came back to return an item and apparently they cant find anything in the system. They had put my information in wrong. So now nothing I bought is showing up in the system. Then the manager tells me that even though its their fault I have to take the lowest historical price for the item which is 60% off on an item I paid full price for. They cant look up by credit card and dont send digital receipts. Staple your receipt to your wallet if you ever buy something. Employees dont seem to care.

My husband and went to AC Moore to enquire about framing for some pictures. The person working the framing dept - Michelle Waters - was very professional, courteous and extremely helpful. She took the time to understand what we were looking for, made recommendations based on our needs and helped us select the right choice of frame and backing. We were very happy with the level of customer service that we received from her

Today (Jan 27), the new General Manager called and emailed me to apologize. After I speaking with him, I am sure he will have a positive influence on his employees and the manager on duty that I ran into yesterday. Ill go back to AC Moore some day because everyone deserves a chance to correct a problem once it is recognized. The fact that he cared enough to contact me and apologize means alot.

Was shopping today for the yarn that was on sale. I was inquiring if they had any more of the yarn but a young lady told me they write out. Michelle walked up and offered to give me a rain check for the item. She was very friendly as she made out my form. Thank you for such exceptional customer service. Great start to a New Year!

I went here with the objective to find yarn and yarn I did find. They have an excellent selection of brands and different fibers as well as a good offering of needles, hooks, and other knit/crochet accessories.

I shop at AC Moore for fine arts supplies and for various odds and ends. This store is well lit and organized which makes shopping a pleasant experience.

I love the variety and quality of craft supplies and go to the store often. But they frequently have VERY slow lines and unfriendly cashiers.
