Though I have never sold an item to this establishment, I have, in the past, pawned items to alleviate accrued debt as a result of family emergencies. I now have an amazing career that allows for a more frivolous lifestyle, but I will always be thankful for the kind, professional staff within the walls of Rochester Pawn & Gold. The gentlemen whom are employed by Rochester Pawn & Gold go above and beyond to achieve customer satisfaction. During the few occasions I was left with no other choice but to safely pawn an item, I felt only security and confidence when entrusting this business with what I felt was an item that withholds sentimental value far beyond that of its market value. I could not disguise my worry with confidence during my first visit to this business, so in a professional approach, the employees at Rochester Pawn & Gold assured me of the safety precautions they take with the items pawned at their establishment. The gentlemen walked me through the process, one that guarantees their utmost protection; as much as humanly possible. With the explanation of which they conveyed, I felt secure when finalizing my transaction. I would like to thank this business for valuing their customers more than one would expect. Theres a right way to perform business in any submarket of this countrys free market, and this business has perfected that approach to success. Heres to Rochester Pawn & Gold for being extremely helpful when all else seemed to fail during times of hard decisions, family emergencies, and a sense of feeling lost in the mix of pressure from the aforementioned struggles we can sometimes encounter during lifes long road to success. The owner and the employees of this business are very unprofessional, When a customer disagrees or questions the owners practices, the owner transforms into a extremely violent and aggressive person. He speaks to customers in a very demeaning manner, and is swindling every one of his customers out of money and property. If you read the fine print of your contract that you receive when you pawn your items, you will read that Rochester Pawn and Gold is, "relieved of any liability for loss or damage from fire, flood, negligence, or criminal conduct" This means if something happens to your property while in Rochester Pawn & Gold possession this business Rochester Pawn and Gold are not liable or responsible. Please be wary of this business, and before signing the electronic device that is at the front counter (which is utilized for you too sign the contract, but the employees do not give you prior notice as to what the signature will be used for), please ask them to read or disclose the fine print. You need to be the one to make the decision of whether or not you feel comfortable leaving your property there, not them. By failing to read the fine print, you (the customer) give Rochester Pawn and Gold that authority. Remember with out your items this pawn shop would be non existent. Demand to be treated with respect. This shop, its owners, and employees are dishonest, for not clearly stating to all its customers what the fine print says. This store is leaching off the Community and swindling customers out of money and property. ROCHESTER PAWN AND GOLD MUST GO!

Owner is one of those New Jersey wanna be morons with the feminine eye brows and tryies to be a "Hard Core Pawn" dealer but instead is an amateur-but the poor customer he was fooling was to naïve to see it. I wanted to get involved and should have gotten involved but had little time to put myself in that position. But the thing about these amateurs is this, they have no morals & only care about themselves and as they get more experienced, theyll turn into full blown grease balls who will only rip you off. I prefer a knowledgeable person to deal with minus the filler bull crap. Not some twenty something idiot who watched a few seasons of Hard Core Pawn/ Pawn Stars and thinks theyre going to get rich taking our money. Anyone who rips off poor people and takes advantage of them the way this guy did, deserves all the bad hes got coming to him. This is our neighborhood, we dont need you people moving your businesses in the area and trying to take advantage of us, so get out & take your garbage with you!

I know some people lie about their stuff, but there are honest people out there. I was short on a bill and just needed a small loan so I took in my diamond earings they are princess cut and very good clarity and bought from a respectable place of business too and all my jewelry was appraised for my home owners insurance so I know what its all valued at. I was not asking for a huge loan only 50 dollars. Right off the bat the guy told me my earings were too light and he could do nothing for me, I could understand that so I came back with my ruby ring( fyi its a real ruby not man made so its a higher value) The gentleman told me he could only give me 20 dollar..... Are you for real?? That ring is valued at over 600 dollars. that place is a joke and the people dont know squat about appraisal of jewelry. I would hate to see them tackle something really big. Would never go to this store for anything and I have already told all my friends and family about it.

Went to Rochester Pawn & Gold last week and it was an all around great experience. The guys working were extremely friendly, fair and knowledgable. They were just all around great guys. The service was great and they had me in and out in no time. I was able to get a loan for the amount I needed without having to deal with any of the hassles/headaches that often arise at other pawn shops in the area. For instance, many local pawn shops require you to wait 15 days until you are able to get your property back...this was not the case at Rochester Pawn & Gold. Would and will definitely recommend Rochester Pawn & Gold to friends in the future.

I have had to use a pawn shop a few times in my life due to unforeseen circumstances. I had a great experience with Rochester Pawn and Gold. Very friendly and very helpful. I know that some look down or judge people who pawn or sell their items, but not Rochester Pawn and Gold. I cant tell you how awesome they made me feel. They explained everything to me and even asked if I had any questions for them. Never had that experience before. This is a place that I will continue to go to in the future. Fast and Friendly service. I wont go anywhere else. Ive pawned a few items to help me get through tough times, they are more than fair on what they offer and their pawn policy is tremendous, only a dollar a day is incredible. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. Im glad that I walked in and now I wont go anywhere else. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs cash fast. Plus they are the only place in Rochester that is open on Sundays!

I was in there a couple of days ago and had a terrible experience. Offered me nothing for my laptop and iPad. You had 22 reviews 2 days ago and now you have 36. I am familiar with google reviews and not even fortune 500 companies get 14 reviews in 2 days let alone a small pawn shop in rochester ny. Stop Buying reviews and tricking people! You should be ashamed of yourself!
