In early May, a friend and I first entered Two Wheels Bike Shop to see what all the hub-bub was about. We had only heard GREAT things from other friends who had custom re-built bikes made for them. Jo and Ryan took the time to answer all our questions, gave us feedback on bikes that they thought may work well for us, and were very honest on time frames of when the bikes would be finished. Late Spring/early Summer is the perfect time to buy a bike, so we were completely understanding of the waiting list. Jo and Ryan were great at communicating with us about our bikes status. They take so much pride in their work and want to be fully accountable for their bikes, so by choice, they are their only two employees. So impressive. Early June I got the call that my bike was ready and couldnt be happier with the results! My single speed is colorful, clean and rides like a DREAM. Jo and Ryan are amazing at what they do. Reading the post below, I have a really hard time believing this is a review for Two Wheels Bike Shop. It may have just been unfortunate timing with the shop closing for a few days to re-vamp the work room and add more bikes to their show room. Two Wheels truly cares about their bikes and customers. The post below is not an accurate representation of who they are...at all. Long story short, Two Wheels is THE BEST. If youre interested in a well-made, unique bike, go talk to Jo and Ryan. If it does end up being a little while before your bike is built, just be patient, because it is TOTALLY worth it.

I was originally attracted to Two Wheels because of 4 different friends that had casually purchased their bikes from the shop. The pricing was attractive, too. The two owners are in the middle of a business-model revamp that started off with a remodel of the shop and was very poorly advertised. I can understand that, so I came back a week later, hoping to get on their waiting list or at least test ride a bike or two, but was told to come back 2.5 weeks later. Ive never deliberately given a bad review anywhere, but the RUDE service I received when I came back in is undoubtedly worth noting (after calling to confirm with Ryan that Id be able to test ride and get on the waiting list). Id done my due diligence, waited twice the time they quoted, and checked in with them twice on the process (which they advised me to do). However, when I showed up, there was nothing to test ride. In an effort to due business, I asked when Id be able to come back, and Ryan delivered a "we dont care about your business" message to me in a memorable condescending tone. Even better was the sad "sorryyyyy" call he shouted as I left the shop. Unfortunately, I dont think theyve realized the power of word-of-mouth advertising when they conduct really sloppy and rude business in a tiny, interconnected community like Minneapolis.

This was the best used bike buying experience possible! Ryan and Jo are extremely friendly, and they know what theyre doing with their bikes. They fix and tune everything possible and make sure that your bike is exactly what you were looking for. I had looked around at a few different shops and didnt find anything I was excited about that fit my price range. Two Wheels had a great frame and added all of the components necessary to make it a fantastic bike at a fantastic price. You will get the BEST bike for your money here. Bottom Line: I absolutely recommend them!

I was messing around riding too close to my husband and completely chewed up the chain on my bike. I thought I was doomed. I walked it over to Two Wheels which happened to be the closest shop. It was fixed in no time and for such a reasonable price! It was actually less than the price of the recent tune-up I did at a different shop! After our experience, we wont go anywhere else. Ryan did an amazing job. My bike actually rides better now than after my most recent tune-up! Dont go anywhere else!!!

My experience with Ryan was top notch! What I appreciate most is that he provided frequent updates of my bikes rebuild. A well intended mistake happened while Ryan was working on my bike. He did not try to cover it up but instead replaced the now broken part with new and better one free of charge. He prides himself on customer service and making sure each bike is safe to ride. I will definitely be back at Two Wheels Bike Shop

Ive been here twice, first time my chain snapped and second I had a flat tire. They fixed it right away and both times I was surprised by how cheap and fast it was. I wish I knew about this place two years ago when I bought my bike. Definitely will be returning (probably in a panic when something goes wrong on my bike).

WOW! Jo and Ryan are so passionate about getting people good and affordable bikes. My brother recommended it and I cant agree more. I love my new (used) bike and will absolutely be returning for any tune ups. AND I never felt stupid for asking questions.

Ran by two good people in Uptown MPLS, they took my bike after being hit by a car and restored it. The price was very reasonable and they did everything they could for me. I highly recommend visiting this shop!

They dont just want to sell you a bike, they care about it working well. Expect for flat tires (which occurs on all bikes), I havent had any problems with the custom bike they built for me.
