Sure its convenient and the coffee shop staff are usually friendly. But theres always something or other with this shop. Im sure the bike shop guys are knowledgeable, but they arent polite or thorough enough for a decent rating. I went there last year for them to fix my flat back tire and stopped for coffee while they fixed it. I managed to get home, but the next day, the tire was flat again. I went back the same day and asked them to be thorough, but the tire ended up going flat again in two days. They told me to keep less air in it. Ha. That cost $36. I took it somewhere else and for $10 I didnt have a problem for the rest of year. Recently, someone gave me a bike they didnt want that had a flat back tire. The shop said they wouldnt charge to take a look at, but it would cost for labor and a new tube. I brought it in. Showed him the hole, where a shard of glass used to be and expected hed make sure the entire wheel was okay like we discussed over the phone. Hes says its all good and proceeds to change the inner tube. Only when he finishes does he mention that the spokes are about to break off and he wouldnt ride it. Then charges me for the labor and inner tube. Maybe you should diagnose the problem before trying to fix it and charge customers. Adding the fact that I had to wait 30 minutes to be spoken to last fall, everything is overpriced, the lighting is never good, the layout could be better, and the food selection is super limited -- nearly any other bike repair shop is better.

I have been in there a few times and the staff has always been extremely helpful. Today I went in with my bottom bracket in my hand with a question about it. The staff was able to fully answer my questions about my bottom bracket, let me know that it is starting to fail as there is resistance with turning it due to dirt and particles getting into the bearings. They also were able to give suggestions on what might be causing the creaks in my bike and said that it might not be the bottom bracket, but might be a issue of needing grease in a few places, which they told me where to grease as well. Even though I did not buy anything, they were eager to help me, give me full details on what I needed to do and said that if I need help that I can bring my bike in and take advantage of the specials that they were having at the time.

I am new to the city. That said, I am used to biking on the back roads of Arkansas and Missouri where no one will stop to help if you have a flat tire . In fact several times people have tried to run me off the road. Riding a bike in Minneapolis is a far different experience. I had a flat tire on the Greenway, and a nice biker told me that I couldnt have broken down at a better place. I couldnt agree more . Freewheel took care of my tires and I got to eat a bowl of fruit and drink a nice ice coffee while I waited. This shop and this city are amazing.

I ended up with a flat as I was riding along the Greenway. Luckily, I was right near Freewheel and was able to pull up to their shop right off the of trail. I cant explain how convenient it was to swing by their shop instead of having to lug my bike off the trail. The service desk was really helpful and didnt charge for air. It was also the perfect place to pick up a smoothie after a long day of riding, and the Midtown Exchange is in sight if you want to grab a bite to eat. Ill be back to check out their accessories next time Im in the area.

Called up, Spoke with Gary who was AMAZINGLY helpful and went out of his way to find the product I wanted, and ordered it. Along with putting together a few other items and holding them for me till the ordered item arrives! Awesome service will be back in to pick up the product (which I couldnt purchase on the manufacturers website.) Thanks for making the experience quick, painless, and overall enjoyable. Cheers!

What a great place to stop on a ride its right on the Greenway. We like to stop here and get their delicious coffee they even have food. One time I had forgotten my gloves and it was so excess able to stop there and pick some up so we could continue riding. They have great service too. They even have a locker room with showers.

When I came here to get my bicycle serviced and purchase some accessories for it I really felt like the people here were helping me find what was best for me and they went above and beyond when it came to fixing my bike. I was very impressed after my first experience here and I have found my new go-to bicycle shop!

Incredible to visit a cycling shop so invested in its mission that theyre only public entrance is from the Greenway! Friendly/helpful staff that wasnt pushy. Definitely will return for a fun lunch date with my wife... soon as the seasons change!

Good cafe and delicious sandwiches, fast and friendly repairs, and a pretty good selection of bikes for the amount of retail space they have available! Go check out the closeout room in the back where the bikes are!

Ugh. Went in to buy a bell, waited for ten minutes before a counter person deigned to acknowledge me, and told me that maybe I could get service from the cafe. Left without buying a bell.

My go-to shop for service. Repairs and maintenance always excellent. Trust them completely. Taught me a lot about my bike too. They keep me on the road, rolling right.

Great food, location and people! I stopped in with my super cheap bike for a new inner tube. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It was so perfect! No judgement!

Great stop along the Midtown Greenway bike path. My wife and I stopped for a smoothie and snack, both of which served as a terrific pick-me-up during our ride.

More a commuting hub than a bike shop. So accessories, food, service department, lockers, shower. If you want racks of bikes, this is not the place to go.

An all-around good place to stop along the Greenway. And not just for bike tuneups. They have a fun coffee bar and tons of information about the area.
