My wife and I went to the Des Moines Bike Collective today to inquire about getting bicycles. Were, well, older, and new to biking. The guys there were so kind and patient with us. We got to try out the bikes and ask as many questions as we needed. They were very knowledgeable, patient and good - humored. We are now home with our "His and Hers" bikes as well as our new helmets and trail maps and are ready to venture. We highly recommend the Des Moines Bike Collective if your new to biking as we are or if you want to expand on your biking adventure. You will not leave there disappointed. Thank you guys so much!!

You know, frankly I didnt know a whole lot about my bicycle; Id just kind of get on it and ride. When something went awry in any way, Id either get a friend to hook me up or Id take it somewhere. I really like the DMBC because they let me have a hands on deal and they explain everything clearly and over time I have actually learned a lot of stuff about my bicycle. Especially, for me, the DMBC is invaluable for this reason.

Perfect place for bicycle enthusiasts or those looking to get into the sport. A huge selection of used bikes and bike parts. Plus they have a number of work benches that you can rate by the hour to fix a bike you already own. Tons of very helpful, passionate staff on hand to help you with anything you need and any questions you may have. If youre into biking, this is a great place to frequent.

This place is fantastic and is operated by fantastic people! The goal of this place is simple and pure...to get people on bike in a fun/affordable manner. They are very community-oriented and I recommend everyone visit this place before purchasing a bike anywhere else! They may just have a perfect bike for you...they did for me and I saved hundreds of dollars.

I went by today because I needed a repair and the other shops were backed up. At Des Moines Bike Collective, you pay $8 per hour for the stand and use their tools. They got me started and a volunteer mechanic helped me get through my repair. I saved some money and learned to better appreciate my regular mechanic. This place is great!

Went this morning to look for my first road bike. Not only did I find the perfect match bright blue schwinn but the employee was so kind and patient on educating me for my first bike and how to get started. Highly recommend not only for purchase quality but for customer service.

I go on Wednesdays when its not busy. As long as youre patient, they will help you get through youre project. I found all the parts I needed in decent condition. Inventory changes regularly. Ill definitely be coming back!
