Excellent service, and I recommend MGC and staff to everyone I meet. When I decided to purchase a new road bike, I stopped in every bike shop (2 year process) from Seattle to Florida, including many in MN, WI and IA. As I was new to the sport, I had intended to purchase the Trek Silk, but after learning more, and upon the completion of my bike shop tour, I purchased a 2015 Madone 7.9 Project One from MGC and have not questioned my purchase and could not be more satisfied with MGC, staff, service and their complete inventory (COSTCO for Cyclists) of the most current cycling and athletic supplies. My Madone is white, following (Freaky Fast-72 Hour Guaranteed) service, there is not so much as a spec of dirt or oily fingerprint on my bike. I simply drive up, they unload and load my bike from from my car, and I always leave with helpful hints and more knowledge about taking care of my bike to ensure its longevity. They truly are building lasting relationships and everyone is so kind, honest, friendly, and it is truly apparent how much they love the sport and want to share it. Honestly, no question is too dumb, they give my bike a complete look over, make adjustments and really LISTEN to you and your needs to assist with making sure you purchase the right bike and equipment. MGC organizes many social events at the shop, group rides, races, trunks shows specific to women and other events allowing riders to meet and share cycling experiences - leading to my 500 mile ride across IA (RAGBRAI). I wouldnt buy from any other shop. EVER... I could not thank them enough. Worth the drive.. Love this shop.

Preface: I have not been an avid biker nor have I spent substantial money on a bike at this point in my life. I stopped at MGC and they were very kind and knowledgeable. I was impressed by the employees and the product. I was clear about where I was coming from and they were willing to understand that I was not used to spending big money on bikes and emphasized the value and durability that their long lasting bikes offer. They put me right on a few bikes and showed me how large my bike frame should be and how high my seat should sit for my height. The salesman explained the benefits of having a light and durable bike that would last for years to come, and could end up costing less than replacing or maintaining bargain bikes. I think they did a much better job of showing their product than the patronizing employees at the Eriks in town and the folks at MGC could bring new bikers into the sport. Im not sure if I will bite yet, but I am certainly thinking about it. Thank you guys for you time tonight.

Trek had a recall on my front fork, and my rating of this store has nothing to do with the recall or the fact that it was back ordered with no end in sight. The rating has everything to do with the fact that they could not be bothered to keep me in the loop. Time lines were set, no call about an extension. I had to call to find out, I was in the process of moving out of state and asked them to call with an update a week later, still they did not call. I understand they have no control over Trek inventory, but they can keep their word and return phone calls. Sadly, even after explaining that their inability to keep a simple customer care promise, such as returning a call, was the cause of my ire, they were unapologetic. Even if I remained in the area or return to Maple Grove, I will never set foot in this establishment again. Trailhead in Champlin does a far superior job at customer service.

I wanted to share how amazing this shop is! I had an issue with my SRAM Guide brakes. First I called about 7 bike shops explaining the issue. These guys were the only ones confident enough to assure me they could work with SRAM to get a warranty replacement. Also during the time they had my bike and were able to get me a full warranty replacement free of charge and they also overhauled my bike. My rear shock no longer sqeaks and I didnt even ask for anything else. I would give them 10 stars if possible. Also amazingly responsive customer service along the process!

Recently purchased 2 bikes from MGC, one for myself and one for my wife. Overall experience was excellent. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions and worked with me to make sure I was making the right decision. (My first choice was to purchase a fat-tire bike, however after discussing my riding needs and goals we determined a more traditional mountain bike was the correct choice). Both of us are extremely happy with the bikes we purchased and look forward to working with Maple Grove Cycle and its staff in the future.

I was in Minneapolis for the weekend and saw that there was an event called the Tour de Tonka. I didnt have my bicycle, but I borrowed an old steel one from my grandfather and decided to do the 100 mile ride. On the way to the start I got a flat tire (sidewall puncture). The tire was shot, but the employees from Maple Grove had a tire and tube on hand and helped me make it in time for the start for my ride. Awesome group of guys who were very patient, understanding, and helpful. Thank you for making sure my ride went great!

I dont think that I can say enough good things about this shop. I worked with JC and Emory to figure out which bike would be best for me. They spent an hour explaining the advantages of different bikes and set up and adjusted 6 bikes for me to try. They were knowledgeable and courteous and I felt great about the experience of shopping there. If you are in the market for a Trek bike in the Twin Cities area this is the place to go. They have a great selection and treat their customers well.

They replaced a bike tire on my 8yr old sons bike - knowing it was too small for his bike they advised him that his rear brakes would no longer work. Hmm. Didnt sound good but off we went for bike rides and tonight he ran into a sign because he couldnt stop! Thanking God he didnt race into oncoming traffic. Not happy that they put making $50 for a tire replacement ahead of the safety of my son.

Ive been going to this shop for years. Ive been to most of the bike shops in the metro area as I travel a lot and Maple Grove Cycle has probably one of the most knowledgeable and courteous staff. There selection is pretty good - unless youre looking for the most current top of the line bike that cost more then your grocery getter. The mechanics do a great job as well!

This was my first time stepping food in a Bike Shop. I Purchased 2 Trek Bicycles yesterday, I never knew how much of a difference a high quality bicycle was compared to the cheap bicycles Ive been riding all my life. After a few test rides we were ready to buy. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and the free coffee was delicious.

This past weekend I did the Clearwater Triathlon. Before the race Lindsay checked my bike for me. He must have spent 20 minutes adjusting my spokes and fixing my shoes for me. I was just having him put air on my tires, I am so glad he took the time to make those adjustments before the race. Thank you I really appreciate it :)
