I will never take my dog here again. I needed her nails trimmed and it was a Sunday so PetSmart was our only option. She has gone once before and didnt seem to like it but I figured we would give it another try. It was a horrible experience. The girl in the groomer was extremely rude. I warned her that my dog gets scared at the groomer. After trying to trim one or two nails I was asked to leave the room because it was "my fault that she was reacting this way." Once she was finished, the girl brought her over to me and proceeded to lecture me in front of other customers about how my dog is "fearful and unsocialized" and needs a training class. My dog is a rescue and she proceeded to tell me how I need to stop focusing on her "old life" and focus on the present. She made my dog out to be some horrible monster which is the complete opposite of what she is. As a nurse, I dont give out unsolicited, condescending medical advise and I would appreciate if the groomer kept her opinions to herself. I will not recommend this pet smart to anyone looking to get their dog groomed.

I wanted to adopt a golden retriever named Bail. Told to and brought my dogs in to meet the dog. My old girl dog sat down while being sniffed by him for 8 minutes. The dog counselor Re said look at how afraid your dog is with this young male dog. Look at her eyes( which are constantly bulged and her coloring above the eyes is light giving the dog a natural surprised look) . Bail met my younger male in a mutually playful way. She said we with our 4.5 foot fence with reward for having the longest living large breed dog in the U.S. Were not good enough to take the Golden. She added I lived alone, made fun of me several times and wanted a couple ( man and women, younger) to have this dog. She like some in this gate keeping capacity discriminate based on age, based on capacity to compensate her, based on some stereotypical idea of a good dog family. She used to but no longer works for PAWS, not surprising why.

I took my son to the adoption a dog. The associates working at the adoption center were extremely rude and lied to us about the dogs behavior. They proceeded to tell us every dog was bad with other dogs and not house broken. They were extremely lazy and didnt want to let us meet any dogs. Finally, when I said I wanted to meet a particular dog they allowed my current dog to socialize with the new dog but he was scared because he had previously been in a shelter. The woman said my dog was afraid of the other dog which he was not because we walk around the store with them together and he was just fine he was only scared in the meet and greet room. Bottom line we could have given a dog in need a good home but due to your terrible customer service and lack of dog behavior knowledge we will not be adopting or donating to ACCT anymore.

Heres the bottom line, you pay a monthly fee for a wellness plan. With this plan visits are free and basic checkups are as well. Depending on your plan some non-invasive, small time procedures are included too. However, this doesnt mean you will be seen when you need to be and the things you are charged for (medications, surgery, etc.) are through the roof. I paid $170 for a basic medication for a minor infection my dog had and this is in addition to my $35 monthly fee. Oh...and if you dont cancel your plan on the anniversary of your signup date you cant cancel. Well I guess you can cancel, but youll still be charged every month. If your pet were to die you would still be charged every month. Like everything else, the bottom line is not quality, service, or anything else besides the almighty dollar.

Went to take our dog to get groomed there last weekend. The place was packed. Dogs on every table (about six) with hair everywhere. We had an appointment and they put her back in a crate to wait...After 4 hours we picked her up and were told they could not finish grooming her. She was literally half shaven. Grant it we groomed her a few months prior and she did not like it. I really think 99% of the ladies working there dont know what they are doing. Isnt part of being experienced knowing how to handle squirmy dogs??? They charged me $35 for a wash rather than the full $52 which was a rip off. We ended up taking her home and finishing the job! Maybe I should apply since I have no experience.. Prob would do a better job!

the groomers are terrible. not only because half the time they only cut some of his nails and not all of them ...not only because my dog got kennel cough from being caged there... when I asked them if they clean the cages they said yes..I asked how and she said we cant tell you-then I asked if I could hold him the period of him being caged and they said no. they wash the dog-then let them air dry in an uncleaned cage. thats why it takes so long to complete a hair cut. I asked if they blow dry them and she said well I cant tell u and got the manager who was really quite rude... Im like -its a dog- its a living thing and its not that clean a metal cage.

My dog has pretty severe allergies to a lot of items, limiting his food intake. I found this one food that was completely organic and ok for him to eat and, surprise surprise, it was really expensive. I got the register and without saying anything, the cashier shuffled through her drawer and found me coupons that took 5 dollars off of each bag of food (i had gotten 2). It made me happy to know that they knew their own promotions as well as were willing to assist me as a customer rather than making an extra 10 dollars.

I was trying to download a coupon...which didnt work. Instead of hassling me, the cashier said, "Ill just give you the store coupon". It required a managers key. I said, "Im sorry, Im just poor this month." He said, "Oh, I understand....it all fell to pieces for me somewhere between a new tattoo and an aquarium upgrade" ....he made all of us in line laugh so hard that it really made my day. Thank you, PetSmart. You have the best prices and a truly caring staff. I drive far to get there and its worth it!

I took my dog three times over the last several months to get groomed. I did not like the first cut so we talked about it last time. They did a great job last time and asked me how I wanted his third cut done yesterday. I said just like last time and we talked about it. After picking up my dog he looks much better but they did not cut his hair as I asked. I could not torture my dog and make him stay after seeing me. Have to look at other options for the future!

I am not sure about the other departments but this lady in the aquarium section did not seem like she knew what she was doing. We decided to buy 3 types of fish totaling to 10. She put all of them in same bag and by the time I got home, the aggressive fish almost killed one of my neon tetra. He died the next day. Employees working in the fish department should know what type of fish should be kept together and which fish will go along with which other fish.
