We had to get our Frigidaire microwave repaired because it made a loud pop and stopped heating. But thankfully It was covered under a service contract with Electrolux Warranty Corporation who referred us to Appliance Mart. I called them and spoke with General Manager William Lewis Purdy, aka Bill. An appointment was made for the next day on July 20th, 2016. Technician William Rich showed up as scheduled and removed the microwave to be taken back to the shop to be repaired. Here is a timeline of what happened afterwards: 8/1/16 (12:49pm) My wife calls, speaks to Bill and is told he is waiting on a truck to send out the microwave today. We don’t hear anything so at 4:21pm my wife calls back and is told by Bill it would be delivered tomorrow. 8/3/16 (4:42pm) The microwave hasn’t came yet with no courtesy call letting us know it won’t be coming or the status. So I call and Bill and now he states he is waiting on ordered parts to arrive and that they should be in by tomorrow morning. He further adds he’ll have it delivered tomorrow. However the microwave wasn’t delivered with no courtesy call letting us know it won’t be coming. 8/9/16 (12:46pm) After a week goes by we haven’t received any calls or messages from Bill, so I call back to inquire the status of the microwave. He states the microwave was repaired but the fuses on his store’s electric panel blew and he’s without power and unable to test the unit to see if it’s working from the repairs. He adds he expects to have the situation resolved and be able to deliver the microwave tomorrow. 8/10/16 The microwave never arrives with no courtesy call letting us know it won’t be coming so I called at 1:49pm and 3:38pm and Bill doesn’t pick up or return my left voicemails. 8/12/16 (9:30am) I reach Bill on the phone and states he had a delivery truck totaled in an accident, but it’ll be delivered today. I call back 11:59am to try and get a window for the delivery time with no answer. The microwave never came again with no courtesy call letting us know it won’t be coming. 8/16/16 (9:31am) I call Bill and he states the microwave will be delivered today. I call back at 11:59am to see if it’s on the way with no answer. The microwave never came again and of course with no courtesy call letting us know it won’t be coming. 8/17/16 (1:22pm) I call Bill and he says the microwave will be delivered tomorrow by 9am. Same thing as happened before: The microwave never came with no courtesy call letting us know it won’t be coming. 8/19/16 (9:51am) I call Bill and he says it’ll be delivered today, when I asked for a time frame window he says his technician will call when he’s on the way. I call back at 2:48pm with no answer. So of course: The microwave never came with no courtesy call letting us know it won’t be coming. 8/20/16 (11:36am). I call Bill on a Friday and he promises it’ll be delivered Monday 8/22 at 9am. 8/22/16 (9:58am) I call Bill that Monday and he says it’s on the truck out for delivery. But as so many times before: the microwave never came with no courtesy call letting us know it won’t be coming. This plays itself out over and over again (we call, he says itll be delivered, than it never comes with courtesy call) until 9/2/16 when we finally drive one hour to the shop and walk in the store to find him working on our partially disassembled microwave on top of a washer machine in the middle of the store! My wife spoke out “Hey, that’s our Microwave!” and Bill looked shocked and realized who were. Anyway the vent grill missing and he says it’s on a truck returning from Orlando. I stop trying to get a reasonable explanation at this point because I dont believe anything coming out of his mouth. So we leave and get lunch and come back and took it home- Finally! He did such a poor job putting the cabinet on the unit that we had to reinstall that ourselves. And at times, the microwave makes a loud buzzing noise that wasn’t there before the microwave was repaired. I fully expect it to break down again soon!

This is a very incompetent and poorly run business. I called the manufacture of a window A/C for a warranty repair on Sunday. I received the info that Appliance Mart would be doing the repair the following Wed between 8am and 12 am. I noticed they had my home address and home number listed but the unit is at another location. I called and spoke to Bill Monday and he said he would have Dante contact me to get the info. I didn’t hear from anybody so called and left Bill a voice mail with all the info in the afternoon on Tues and still no call back. Come Wed they never show up. We waited all morning, in the meantime they are calling the number I told them not to call since there is nobody there to answer it. I called them around 2pm and Dante tells me they will have to pull the unit and take it to the shop for the repair. (they had not even looked at it yet) This would mean we would have a hole in the wall all night or for however long it would take them to repair it. Danta told me "you can always request somebody else do the repair". I told him that sounds like a great idea so I called and requested a new repair facility. These guys can’t run the logistics of a business so I sure don’t trust them to do a repair. AVOID! 6/12/17 ( in response to Appliance Mart) You guys may be great at repairs for all I know. But your ability to handle your logistics is my issue. And if you cant do one right, I dont have faith you can do the other right either.. Other "Factory Authorized" repair centers I have talked to regarding this do all repairs onsite. I also find it funny you have 2 5 star reviews after I told you about your negative ratings and you have obviously been here since you replied to my rant. Makes ya wonder....

On Tuesday 11/08/2016 I contacted Frigidaire about the ice maker not working properly and the representative told me that she would make an appointment for me with a local company, Appliance Mart in Melbourne, Fl, to come out and make the repair. After a few minutes the representative told me that someone would be out that following Friday between 12 and 5. So Friday came and went with a no show and no call. I contacted Appliance Mart later that day and spoke to the the owner "Bill". I informed him of who I was and that I had an appointment for that day. He looked up my information and told me that his computer crashed and that they were running 2 days behind. I asked when they would be able to come out and he told me that they could come out Monday with a time line between 8am and 10am. Monday came and again a no show and no call. At 11am I called "Bill" and asked him if they were going to be able to make it out today and he told me that he was on his way to his shop so that he could check his computer and he would call me back in 30 minutes......and of course....no answer. At 12:47pm I called "Bill" back again and I was told that he had called his office and was waiting for a call back from them......I GIVE UP....Im going to contact Frigidaire and have them refer me to another company. Dont waste your time with Appliance mart....nothing but excuses.
