I WAS a repeat customer at Robinson furniture but up until my most recent purchase, and experience after ,I will never shop nor recommend anyone to them again. Im sure they dont care (people they have on the phones leave me with this impression) but I wanted to share my story. About 3 weeks ago I purchased a twin bunk bed from this store for my children. Due to me already having mattress there was no need for me to purchase new mattresses and because my cost was over $500.00 delivery & installation was included. After install I notice that the only thing to hold the mattresses up were small plastic wires. When I installed the mattresses and my son (who is 50 pounds) got on bed the wires immediately started to bend then eventually broke. I called the store today, explained the situation. The store receptionist put me on hold to called the "warehouse". About 2 mins later she switches back to me advised that I needed to buy another product "bunky boards" to hold up the mattresses on top of the wires and that the warehouse was being generous and would sell to me for $50.00 apiece. I asked her shouldnt this had been something that was explained to me when I bought the bunk bed? She put me on a hold and cold transferred me to the "Warehouse" The man I spoke to was very overtalkative, seems to have no customer service experience at all and really tried to make me feel like this was my fault. I tried to explained get him to understand that typically (at least with quality stores/sales people) its the store/salesperson responsibility to make sure their customers are informed of the product that their buying and if additional things are needed to be purchased with the product and how this was never explained to me However as Im trying to speak he is still being combative and over talkative. He then goes to say if I didnt ask for them (bunky boards) then why should the sales person tell me I might need it? Are you kidding me?! I went to say this is feedback from a customer and that Im sure Im not or wont be the 1st person to bring up this concern. He states in his 6 years I am the first. Ok. That was it for me. I ended the call advising Ill just leave my reviews and disconnected. No apologies, just rude, combative tones (all around) and definitely not receptive to customers feedback. This entire experience has shown me that Uncle Robinson Furniture store is just in it for the money and not doing the right thing for their customers. However, my entire customer service experience with them from the time I first called about this order (delivery status) up until now has been horrible but this really led it for me to leave this response. I am a 1st-time bunk bed buyer and never had one myself bunk bed. As a sales person you need to make sure you are giving all facts about items your products even if you think they know or not- never assume.

" Buyer Beware" Awful customer service, high interest rates and unethical business practices. If I could give a half star; I would. I picked out a sofa bed $876.00 with $300 down. I was told that It would be delivered by Monday (3 days). The company called me (the next day) and stated that someone tore the sofa and I would have to wait two weeks (No discount or apology was given). I Waited two weeks for the sofa; The delivery drivers came without calling, claimed that the sofa wouldnt go up the staircase without coming into my house, then told me to go pick something else. The driver never took the sofa out the truck or measured the stair case. Evident that he didnt want to lift the sofa, I called the manager and explained that I had a sofa of the same size in the same room; He was rude and sided with the driver. I asked for a refund. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

I got mattresses and a bedroom set from Robinson furniture, I got a great deal and being younger my credit isnt good with all my student loans but i got approved. A LOT of people should really educate themselves=Bed bugs live off of flesh. I had a concern and did my research, youd be surprised to find out where you could actually get them from (movie theaters, having house guest that have them, etc). When I went into the store I had the OWNER take me in the back and show me the mattresses. A lot of people fail to realize that bed bugs cannot live without a food source (humans) and in that warehouse there was no way i could think of for them to live. Dont over look this place because others neglect to do research. I love my bedroom set and I plan to go back for my living room.

To be honest after reading some of the reviews here I was hesitant to shop here. I was need of living set. I went to Robinson Furniture and had a very different experience than the other reviewers. I felt it necessary to share mine with you. I dont think I have ever had as much fun making a purchase. I knew what Ashley set I wanted my salesman Sam was very patient as I wanted to see all the store considering the wide selection they have. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I will also have to say the owner was in the store also helping customers. I purchased me set it was delivered the next day the drivers set up everything. What Im tying to say is check out this store for yourself and you will be very surprised. My next furniture purchase will be made at Robinson!

Me and my boyfriend went to go see all that they had to offer and boy was we in for a RUDE awakening!! We came through the door and one guy jumped right on us! He started asking my boyfriend did he have a bank account and if so what was the routing number and bank number so he could see how much he qualified for. Hmm...No,we just wanted to look first and they guy working there was hell bent on getting the information! Next we proceeded to look around...but that was of no luck because the whole entire time that we were looking....the guy made it his business to Follow us around the whole store!! With this type of service and them wanting your banking information right away was a RED FLAG for us!!

The lastest commercial they have is utterly ridiculous, ghetto and very disrespectful to viewers. Why would you act as if youre sniffing cocaine as an advertisement for a furniture store? Furthermore, why do you think its cool to rent car rims in a furniture store? Is it because youre in downtown Detroit and you think its a "hood" thing that theres relevance?? The furniture and commercials are garbage and it would behoove you to really think about how you advertise your business. Honestly, I feel that its degrading. Shut this place down! Theres a reason why it closed years ago and reopening it was a worse mistake.

I cant say im completely satisfied. I bought furniture back in November and my table was delivered damaged They told me that they would send me one back out in 2 weeks and i never heard from them ,called back to ask about it ,the lady was rude and uninterested in my problem then told me they would send it out in 2 weeks and now here it is may !! No thanks i can go a million other places and get crappy services i just wish i had never spent my hard earn money there !! Oh yea i assembled my whole living room set the delivery driver put together my lamps and left
