I have NEVER written a bad review on any place before but this one I cannot not hold back! I went to this store a few weeks ago after purchasing my new home and found a sectional that my husband and I both liked. We were told by both the sales representative and coustomer service representative that our sectional will arrive to the store on Friday. I decided to rent a truck instead of pay for delivery because it ended up being way cheaper. On Friday morning I was on my way to the store when I received a phone call that my furniture did not come in and that I should be receiving them by Tuesday. Upset enough I called the store and asked to speak to the manager. The manager was not very helpful at all he asked me who I spoke to and seemed confused that someone gave me a delivery date. Isnt that what happens when you buy something? Instead of doing his job right and making sure coustomer satisfaction comes first he decides to blame the Indiana wear house saying that the store doesnt actually "know" when deliveries come in they give you a call when they do instead. He should have offered to do free delivery since I took a day off and rented a truck and was lied to. So on Tuesday I rented another truck, ONE man is all they had to lift my furniture. It was a 3 piece sectional 2 of them were wrapped in cardboard and the I there one was wrapped in a different color wrap that looked like it was a floor sample. When I asked they gentleman he insured me that it was not and everything was there. As he was loading the furniture (alone) sliding them into my truck because they legs arent on the whole bottoms were scratched and scuffed up. When I mentioned to the guy he said it was just the plastic that made it look like it. I came home the pillows were missing and so were the legs to one piece of the sectional. I went back to the store to see if maybe some how they fell out of the bag but that didnt seem to be the case. Remember how I mentioned 1 out of 2 pieces were wrapped a different color? It was that piece that was missing legs so it was indeed a floor model from another store. The woman I spoke to was the decorator that said I would have to wait another week. I asked her to give me the floor sample legs instead and she did. She also discounted me for the legs $50 but at this point I didnt care to remind them about the pillows. Worse experience ever. This gentleman next to me was explaining how hes upset they delivered half his order and the other half are missing. For them to talk about Art Vans service they are nothing compared to them and at the rate their going, their going to end up being a 1 hit wonder.

I LOVED THE FURNITURE SALE ASSOCIATE SHERRI, SHE IS THE BEST, she took care of us all the way to calling us to see if we are happy with the items we bought. But the manager AL was reallyyyy rude, no customer service at all...nothing but problems after the first delivery...broken pieces, mixed deliveries...a mess, then a tech was scheduled to come to replace broken piece on the bunk bed, a week after the 1st delivery was done...I called to request a time for the appointment, just to have a delivery after 10 am, since my kids sleep until late and there is no way after all the inconveniences that i will wake them up at 8am!!!! The lady said she put the req in the notes, then i get a partial voice mail THE NEXT DAY, that the delivery is scheduled between 7am-10am. Furious i called them, another lady from customer service answers, that was as rude as they come, mind you i work in the same industry, and i deal with customers all the time, had to escalate to the manager AL, he tells me deliveries are set and they can not change the time, i ask if they can do it closer to 10am instead of at 7am. As any mom, i dont want anyone looking at my kids in their pjs, or while being dressed, there are a lot of creeps out there. Al, the manager, tells me that there was no way for them to know i got young kids so they can schedule a later delivery, mind you we are discussing twin over full bunk bed set, WHICH IS FOR KIDS, told him about the req i made nicely the previous day.... then he tells me straight up i need to wake up my kids, because they can not change the time, nor make any promises. That was my breaking point, WHO IS HE TO TELL ME TO WAKE UP MY KIDS,, AFTER THE PIECE CAME BROKEN FROM THE BOX, THEY SCREWED UP THE DELIVERY, AND I HAD TO WAIT FOR A FULL WEEK AFTER THE 1ST DELIVERY OF THE REST OF THE ITEMS WAS DONE, NO COMPENSATION WAS OFFERED AT ALL TOO. Worse place to go and buy something, except of course the nice furniture sale consultant, Sherri. I purchased dining set from Art Van, and washer and dryer from Best buy, and I DID NOT HAVE ANY ISSUES. Unfortunately, because the issues I had are outweighing the good experience i had with Sherri, I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO NOBODY I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM CONSIDERING EVEN RETURNING ALL OF THE ITEMS I PURCHASED.

Will never recommend this place to anyone! Bought a sectional couch with a chase on it. The first delivery found that the section without the chase had a rip in the fabric down the back. The chase back foot while they were unwrapping it was snapped completely off (probably from them standing the chase ON END!). the delivery people almost threw away the leg but I had them screw it back on so I could at least sit on something until a new chase arrived. They said Value City would call me back in a day or two. Well the weekend passed and we had to call Value City back and complain about they had broken the chase. They almost sent a repair person to come out and "look" at it but had to convince them to send a whole new couch. Second shipment comes in, the couch is fine except for the chase. After the delivery people leave. Sit down on it and hear a snap, look down the frame had cracked! Call up Value City once again and have another replacement come in... Third shipment comes in today, 1 HOUR LATE with no call to tell me that they are running late. Before the couch is even fully unwrapped noticed a defect and guess what ITS BROKEN AGAIN! The frame had been snapped in half. Sending this one back and third time was apparently not the charm in Value City case so requesting a full refund of my money for horrible pieces of furniture and wasting my time. On the day the pickup of the couch was supposed to happen, the drivers truck broke down. Now have to wait two more days to get this horrible couch out of my apartment. Worse news is that I have two couches in my apartment because the better couch from Gardner White came with absolutely no problems. I would recommend going to Gardner White, they take care of your furniture when delivering. They will also cover your door and walkway to prevent dirt from coming in your house and scratching your doors. Will never shop here again, will never recommend, this place is a complete rip off with furniture that is also a rip off
