RIPPED OF BY DOOR (MILLWORK) DEPARTMENT at Wauwatosa Home Depot: After spending 4 months on a door replacement project, this Home Depot refuses to correct their mistake and install the correct door. They replaced the WRONG door and refuse to fulfill my order by replacing the correct door. They are demanding payment from me to correct their own mistake. Background: I placed an additional door order to a project specifically for my UPSTAIRS BATHROOM CLOSET DOOR. Instead, the Millworker replaced a HALLWAY door that did not need replacement. The Millwork Dept conveyed they understood the door I was talking about (upstairs bathroom door). I was not given the opportunity to watch the mill worker do the measurements in the house (a painter let him into the unit, and he left within 5 minutes before I could put on my shoes and walk over from next door). Initially, Home Depot agreed to fix the problem with no cost to me. After waiting months and endless phone calls, they indicated they had the door and just had to contact the installer. After no contact, I followed up, and they completely RENEGED and demanded payment from me to install the door I already paid for. They asked for over $400 to install one door- despite the fact I already paid for it and they made the mistake of installing the wrong door. They tried to blame me for the mistake by saying I shouldve been there when the installer came to do the measurements (in fact, I was next door in a two-family property, and he left within 5 minutes after having a painter let him in). WARNING - Home Depot is a complete rip off and has terrible communication with their contractors for these type of projects. The entire project involved over 40 phone calls and immeasurable time waiting on hold. It involved frustration of experiencing a company make a mistake, initially agree to correct it, drag it on for months, and finally renege on their promise to correct it at no additional cost to me. You would think a large company like this would be more sensitive on how they treat customers, but they were willing to do this BALD FACE rip off. They have no integrity at all, and worst of all, they tried to pass the blame off to the customer. The issue is simple: I specifically ordered and paid for a bathroom closet door. They replaced a door in a different room that I did not need to be replaced.

Avoid this Home Depot - especially after a new manager named Craig came aboard. My house went through a complete renovation over the past two years and given good experience with another Home Depot where I lived, I purchased over $30k of supplies from this store including multiple special order doors. Besides getting the specifications wrong repeatedly and delaying the project, two of the expensive, special order doors made by Milliken were of poor quality with one side of the door higher than the other, among other defects. After reporting the problem a Milliken rep came to inspect and of course tried to blame the installer. After that Home Depot came to inspect. Facing the hard facts, they agreed to compensate me by a fraction of the door cost. When I alerted them of the second defective door and this was right after Craig joined in, the staff went extra miles to lie and to try to cover themselves by shoveling all the faults to the installer again, who happened to be a different contractor. The reality is that two different contractors confronted the same problems, which caused the two doors to have uneven, large gaps, yet Craig refused to rectify the problem for the second door and even told me that the prior store manager compensated me "just to make me happy". Which business would "compensate" a customer if the product is defect-free? Bad management, and therefore bad experience for customers. This store is going downhill.

I cannot ever recommend buying here. I bought an LG refrigerator in 2014, but the ice maker did not work from day one. I bought top of the line stainless steel with an extended warranty. Big waste of money! The L G is pure junk! The front is starting to rust. The warranty department claims rust is a cosmetic issue not covered. They claim the ice maker not working was my problem, claiming it is not being used enough. I would never buy LG again. Poor workmanship. Maybe the stainless steel is from China. I have another example regarding my stainless steel dishwasher. The inside started to rust, not allowing the trays holding the dishes to pull out. The warranty person told me that if the dishwasher turns on, that is all that is covered. The response was insane! Never will I go there again. Poor products, poor warranties, poor customer service, to expensive. Can do better online, without the headache. Run!!!

I drove over 20 minutes to run in quick and grab an humidifier (I knew exactly which one I needed). I knew it would be cutting it close to closing time, but I got there a few minutes right before they were going to close. As soon as the guy by the door saw me pull in he started shutting the doors so I couldnt go in. After seeing another employee at the opposite set of doors, I asked if I could run in quick to grab the item I needed and I made sure he knew I knew exactly what I needed. He lied and said their registers were shut down already, even though he was just letting a customer exit and another was getting checked out at the registers. Never coming here ever again!

Absolutely the rudest employees ever. Bought a tool box online (website said in stock) and some toolbox liners (website said in stock). Received a call to let me know liners werent in stock. Asked when they would be in or if another store had them or can get them in. Didnt want to drive all over town looking for them. The person gave the phone to a rude coworker (woman). She tells me she is canceling my order and I can find it myself at another store. Done shopping at home depot.

Service is A+, premium products, things made in USA available, staff mostly experienced in customer service area, when it comes to specialty stuff like carpet or cabinets they are all experienced. Nice loading area. Nice Selection. Manager runs around making sure everyone is happy. Sunday is a bit understaffed but what can you do. Basically you get products that are similar to Lows at prices that are closer to Menards. Thank you Home Depot.

Whenever I have a project, this is my spot. Yes the store is big and yes they are one of the big corporate machines but what I like about it is there is always someone around to help me find things and to give advice on any project I have had. The store is well stocked, clean and orderly. Self check out gets me in and out quickly. They also do not give me any problems with returns should I buy too much product.

I was not aware of this service, however, this location of Home Depot will come out to your home to help the Elderly with small things such as changing light bulbs. I know this because they helped my 80 yr old Mom with this service. It is not often that Good Things are published about People or the FREE Service that a big company does. Bravo Home Depot...your customer for life! THANKYOU!
