We are a local spa and have built our last three salon with the material from Home Depot. For the first time in our last 18 years of business with them it sadden me to have to write this review. I called the store in Gurnee 9-28-2015 to ask if they could trim the bottom of the door. We had put in hardwood floor and the door would not close. The sales clerk ask me the measurement and i gave them to him I then informed him I would be over in 30mins. When I got their he put it on the machine to cut it. A lady supervisor walked over and to tell him he cant do it. Now mind you I called and I ask if they could. Letting them know that we had to open the salon and that we needed doors up for privacy for the client. The lady supervisor said we cant .I then ask what can we do then to solve the problem to get the doors fix. She stood their for 10 minute without any answer had her coworker to remove the door off the saw . Now mind you if you cant I understand but have a solution for your customer. She said nothing but take it down and leave. We left and I then went across the street to WONDERFUL MENARDS. Where the front desk clerk called a sales associate and look over the door sold us the right equipment and solve our problem... THANK GOODNESS FOR GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND KNOWLEDGE OF THEIR CRAFT. #dumbcockieyoungpeopleshouldnotrunyourstorejustlostagreatcustomer

It was 10:05pm, our sump pump died on us, we were inches away from a flooded basement. My husband called up Home Depot Gurnee, IL, the recorded message said the store was closed (10:00pm). We were in a panic. 10:10 I decided to try my luck and call the number again, the recorded message came on and said the store was closed but on pressing 3, I would get the store manager on duty, I did, and the most helpful person in the world, "Andre" picked up my call. I told him the problematic situation I was in, he said the store was closed but he would sell me a sump pump, he even had everything you need to install it, all waiting at check out for my husband to go pick up. Within an hour we had our new sump pump up and working and we owe it all to the kindness of the hard working and dedicated employee "Andre", I hope you get rewarded for going above and beyond and your dedication to providing excellent customer care. Thank you, Andre and Thank you Home Depot, Gurnee IL, you have earned in us a life long customer.

I had the worst experience of my life in this store When purchasing materials in any of the home depot they take your money in cash or with card and theyll ask for ID or license and many of us we have purple license But doesnt matter to them to take your money but when it comes to rent any equipment or credit for them is not valid ~ hypocrites they say thats the rules of the sheriffs for what I know the sheriffs does not do the payroll of home depot This happened in this home depot 6625 Grand ave Gurnee IL 60031 on Thursday September 3 / 2015 at 10:30 a.m. And soon as I told the head of the rental department that I would put this in the internet he wanted to rent it that is pure hypocrisy And many of us we spent thousands of dollars in this hypocrites corporations!

I bought the most expensive kitchen counter top in this store and they made me a lot of promises. The lady who took my order gave me a lot of attention and help, but the 2 to 4 working days it would take to measure my kitchen turned into 10, and the 1 to 2 working days to come back with the final price turned into 6 working days. As you can see, after 3 weeks I still dont have a kitchen and they come back saying the final price would almost double because theyd have to use 2 slabs! WTH? Im supposed to pay for what Im getting. I shouldnt care about the raw materials they are using. Im looking someplace else to buy, because this store is horrible.

We make a lot of purchases from our local Home Depot in Gurnee and have been satisfied with the service, product selection/quality and pricing. Most recently we ordered an item online for in-store pickup. When we arrived to pick up the item, something had gone wrong and they picked the wrong item. MARTIN was helping us and he kept us informed the whole time, repeatedly apologized and made sure that the order was fulfilled properly. He was committed to great service and should be recognized for his customer support in a tough situation that wasnt his fault. They did a great job turning this situation into a great experience for us.

Tldr. Customer service suffered because of too few employees Went to get garage door opener. One employee in whole section, and when I asked for help he shook his head and said all the employees were out on a job. OK I had questions about the model, no ome came to help. Finally I tracked down an employee to ask questions. And he said he it wasnt his area. And was of little help. I had to do my research on the Internet to figure out which model I needed. I felt let down by their poor customer service

The clerk at the paint section helped other customers while I was there first. Actually, they took my order (the color) and mixed 3 others paint before mine. I was with a 2.5 yrs old kid, and it is difficult to keep him out of trouble for a long time. Lastly, when I went to pay for the paint, I learned that the rebate form was available at the paint section. I had to go back, and wait again for the rebate form. At least they did put the paint cans in my cart.

Him and his crew delivers great customer service every time we come in for a rental. This place needs to get it pricing stuff together. One day its on sale, the next day its not, while there other stores still have it on sale. And even when the signs are posted as sale, they dont ring up right then you have to wait 20 minutes until a manager comes and verifies the signs. Just a joke.

Ron in the tool rental department was very helpful and friendly. My dad and I rented equipment and when we loaded it onto the trailer we realized the trailer we brought had a low tire. Ron was very kind and helped us put air in the tire. Excellent service and going above and beyond.
