Me and my girlfriend walked into the store. We were looking for something in particular (Cork board). Well, I walked down the aisles to look for someone that worked there. After walking down half the store I came across a kind older man named Joe. He told us he was about to end his shift but that didnt stop him from going above and beyond for us. Great guy. Wish their were more kind and non lazy people like Joe. Give that man a raise! Respect is hard to find these days. It should be rewarded.

I went to purchase plywood and 3×1 for a project Im doing. I gave the man thats cutting the wood the measurements and he didnt seems to know what he was doing. After helping him to figure out how best to cut the measurement, I came home and 1 piece was still off. Maybe because cutting wood there is free, he didnt care as much.

No longer contractor friendly. Went to buy a Milwaukee portable bandsaw ($400), some 1 1/8" hole saws, and about $100 worth of shelving. None of these items were in stock - but gun safes and Christmas decorations are. And now the whole store smells like onions from the grill they allowed to operate in the exit.

This place has absolutley nothing in their stock. I live 2min away but i have to drive all the way to Hodgkins Home Depot because they ether dont have stuff or they are short. Its worthless of even goin there because you will loose your time. I cant wait for this new Menards to open.

Its hard to find help when a customer is actually going to buy. Three home depot employees called for assistance where i needed help but no show, 20mins waiting is to long. Im glad the guys from Home Depot in Oak lawn were able to help me! Customer service is BAD!

Avoid this store. Customer service sucks and no one there could tell you what year it is let alone give you any help. Countless times i have fallen victim to this store. I now avoid it when possible.

Since the local Menards expanded, Home Depot has upped their game. You can actually find someone to help you, the place is better organized, and you can be in and out in 10 minutes.
