The store personnel have been fairly helpful, and the prices and quality of materials so far have been good. Were in the middle of a fairly extensive project and have been ordering materials and supplies through this location. Trying to organize deliveries and phone help with the store is, however, a very frustrating process. They may need to hire more staff or overhaul their systems because multiple times we have been on hold for extended durations only to have calls dropped, deliveries mis-scheduled, being sent from unhelpful person to person, etc. If they could organize themselves better and pay more attention to phone support customer service this would be a really good store, unfortunately theyre falling down here and thus the 2 star rating.

Today 02/10/13 6:35 pm at this Home Depot location a big size girl attendant at at the self check out decided to make a comment to another H Depot associate about my appearance and that is not something anyone while on duty , ... She said ( that guy looks disgusting ) yeah I might not be a cute guy, but I didnt know I needed to be a handsome guy to shop at a Home Depot, and plus this big size girl should look herself in a mirror ... I love big girls, chubby or whatever you want to call them, but this one is not even close to cute, big girl if you read this, please just do your job ... I did not say anything in your face because Im not too nice when I get insulted and your a girl, so, ...

Its Christmas Eve, and the Hot Water Heater has gone out to the second & third floor tenants. We turned to Home Depot and these guys were GREAT! Home Depot sent Kevin Loden & Tim Joiner from DRF. They drained the old Hot Water Heater and put it in the alley, corrected the old (really old) plumbing, rebuilt the duct work, installed the new Hot Water Heater, checked out the other two Hot Water Heaters and explained how everything worked. We have perfect hot water on every floor on CHRISTMAS EVE!!! I cant say enough about these guys! They know their Trade and they are the BEST! Ive come here 4 times in the past 2 months from recently moving and its the nearest home depot to my home, and even though they are well stocked, they have surprisingly poor customer service in various sections, it takes about 10 or 15 minutes to find help, and thats not including the time and effort you need to do to find someone in a different section to then ask them to call for help where you need it. usually other home depots have employees almost never leaving your side, but this is quite the opposite, even a manager was bitter/quick to get us away from them.

Employees very helpfull and pleasant, very good quality products according with the price your willing to pay, and the price, was right, am sure that every body walks out of the store satisfied, not only that am sure i will coming back , before i had a divorced we bought a house that needs lot of remodeling . and we spend just and material about $ 70.000.00. When i was done remodeling that house looks soo beatifull, i didnt believe it my self thanks to home depot is great products.

Despite being tucked into a factory/industrial corridor of the city behind a large parking lot, this store is much smaller than the ones you will find in the suburbs. However, even though the selection may be reduced (and beware--they will sell out of window-unit air conditioners at lighting speed!) you can find just about anything you need, with or without the assistance of the very kind and helpful staff.

We had a last minute emergency for a corporate project. Ten minutes before closing we rushed to this location. Over 5 people tried to help is find the item, but no luck even though it showed in-stock. Then Derrick from the evening shift came in and stayed by my side and was persistent until we found it!!! Hero!!! Great person and employee to have on your team. I hope his manager sees this!!!

I only have experience using the rental department at this location. They were extremely slow when I was returning my rental truck. Some other guy in line seemed to be having issues with returning his equipment as well and just ended up leaving the equipment there for them to deal with and walking out. They were nice but they could probably beef up their customer service a little.

Dennis and Steve were the best! They took their time to explain things and to ask clarifying questions. Dennis had a wonderful sense of humour! Dennis was in flooring/rugs. Im not sure what dept Steve was in. I live by South Loop store but would shop at your location because of these two employees. I dont generally enjoy shopping for housewares but this was fun.

This Home Depot is extremely convenient and has everything you expect and more. It follows the same design guidelines youd find at all of them, I was approached by friendly staff concerned with helping me find what I needed, and they still have the food corner with the great hot dogs. Very pleasant experience.

Its a Home Depot. The customer selection and customer service are like every other decent Home Depot. I give this place four stars because Ive been asking them to install a bike rack for years and instead theyve made it harder to park bikes by putting steel reinforcement on the poles in the parking lot.

Once again waiting over 30 minutes to get helped paint, home depot has the worst paint service in Chicago. 7 people on line waiting while one employee is somewhat working... And the other one is eating crackers... Seriously hire people who dont hate there lives and hate there job

Needed to get some 4x6x12 pressure treated wood. Asked two employees for location and price. They told me "search it up on Google and also check the home depot website". Turns away and starts talking to each other. Hope these two employees gets a hammer dropped on their foot.

The staff here wasnt very helpful in helping me find what I was looking for. Typically I can walk into any Home Depot and get help for some project (or at least some ideas), but the staff here just shrugged their shoulders when I asked them about how to make something.

It is insane how many times this place has closed right in my face the last few months. If someone knows an extremely nearby hardware source with later hours, PLEASE let me know; they dont even need a large selection, but I will switch to them in a heartbeat!

Its ok for the stuff you need or FYI but someone that actually needs something like flooring machine air movers not the baby one real table saws with out waiting few days for delivery actual siding etc nope.All depots inventory is wrong and never accurate

this is an awful branch, go to the Elston store, or another hardware store. Always busy with not enough staff, no one wants to answer a question, they act like they are doing something to avoid anyone talking to them.
