This place is terribly understaffed. We were trying to get a lizard for my daughter. My husband waited by the animals while I walked around the store trying to find an associate. There was a girl standing behind a little counter doing some sort of explanation of dog treats or something, and I asked her if she could help. She stated that no she just cannot leave her post... Uhhh.. ok?? So I walked up to check-out and waited in one open line behind 4-5 other customers.. While I was waiting another customer walked up and asked the cashier if he had paged anybody to help him get a fish. The cashier pressed some button that paged a canned message over the intercom. By the time I made it to the cashier the customer who was waiting for a fish came back up and told the cashier he will take his business elsewhere. To my luck a rogue employee came out of a small back room and was able to assist. Also, I swear that place didnt have any A/C. 10/10 would tell somebody to go to PetSmart and I havent even been there.

Went to buy some fish a month ago brought them home and two days later and hade a massive ick outbreak lost all my fish so I drained and cleaned the tank and restarter my tank after a month to let my tank cycle Im ready to get more fish so back to petco I went just to find out all their fish have ick they had no idea any of their fish had ick and on top of the ick problem every time Ive been there I have to track down an sales associate to help me vary poor customer service. People knock walmart fish but their tanks are much cleaner and pet depot is right down the road I wont go back to petco for icky fish

Im disabled needed 50 lb bag of dog food Im unable to lift or carry the lady put in buggy took to my car and loaded it even returning buggy for me. All dine with good conversation and a smile. Cant beat the customer service
