I was in to Gander in hopes to find some new fishing equipment and just generally looking around. When I first walked in I was not greeted by the lady at the customer service or even a smiles. I got to fishing/hunting clothes and had good service there. People were knowledgable and extremely friendly we even got to joke around a little bit. My visit was improving. When I got to the desk to check out this is where everything went wrong. Emily the employee checking people out was chatting with the customers in front of me. She had made several innuendos and was taking an extremely long time. We were all uncomfortable. There were several people behind me. When it finally got to be me she was hardly polite and seemed irritated. I got my things and left. The actual staff who helped me were great but this lady ruined it for me. IF there is a next time I come in to Gander Im hoping she is not there to be vulgar. The store was clean and well stocked though and you guys did have what I was looking for. Other staff were amazing, It is sad this one person ruined it for me.

I will continue to purchase my firearms and other sporting needs at the Gander Mountain located in EauClaire, WI. I purchased my latest handgun this week (2-23-2015) through the wonderful assistance of sales associate Stephan. I made the mistake and picked out the wrong caliber handgun and I did not notice this until after I got home only 7 minutes away. I went back to the store and spoke with Store Manger Joe right away regarding my mistake. I was so upset with myself and felt just terrible for picking out the wrong handgun. These people made my day under the direction of Joe the Store Manager, and allowed me to get the correct handgun and new paper which took little time. I just about cried I was so shocked at the understanding and kindness. I will continue as I have for many years to do my business at Gander. Thankyou everyone involved today 2-25-2015.

I visited quite a few gun stores before coming to Gander Mountain and was blown away by their employees knowledge. One of the gun counter employees, Joel, taught me more about AR-15s in a ten minute conversation than I had gotten listening to countless sales pitches at other stores. He then helped me choose the parts of a custom AR and installed them for me while I filled out the paperwork. The total cost came out to be hundreds cheaper than if they had sold me a preassembled rifle from the shelf. Its easy to tell they care about getting their customers the right gun, not the most expensive one.

If I could give 0 stars that would be 3 to many absolutely no customer service 40 customers only 2 people on the floor a gun salesman and the cashier not just this trip it seems this way every time I go there i have tryed to buy two different guns 700+ both times ended up going to Scheels sports in the mall about a mile away 5 minutes (they price match) i will not return to this store, if i go back to any gander mountain again (the old store was great havent been happy with this new pos scene it opened)

Stopped into Gander this afternoon to purchase a few items. Emily the sale associate working at the cash register, called a co-worker for a price check as the item we were purchasing was not ringing up as the sale price. The co-worker was going to have to check into things further, and we would have to wait. After reviewing the ad we bought in, Emily changed the price, eliminating the wait and sent us on our way. Thank you Emily for great customer service and a cheerful disposition!

This is a horrible store. I have gone there lots of times to find things and they either cant keep it or dont have it. You cant find anyone in the store and if you do they dont know anything about the products. They didnt stand behind the warranty that they said I got when I bought my boots there. They dont carry any boots that are over 800 grams and have a bad selection of boots. I will not be making another purchase or visiting this place again.

Ive been in the store 3 times in the last year. Absolutely terrible service every single time. No one knows details about any product Ive asked about. After I hunt someone down that works there they always need to radio for someone else. They take 5 minutes to get to the department, and even then the say things like "I think" "Im not totally sure" "you can always return it." Would not recommend it to anyone.

Under staffed at least in the Eau Claire WI location. For Gods sake...oh okay, at least for the sake of the red white and blue, HIRE SOMEONE TO ANSWER THE PHONE WHEN I CALL! AUTOMATION RUINS ANY OPPORTUNITY FOR EVEN THE MOST MEANINGLESS PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP TO DEVELOP! Gander Mountain USA nothing more than a catalog to me because the service in the store sucks so badly.

Good selection, TERRIBLE customer service, waited over 30 minutes just to have some one ask me what I wanted, then another 30 before I could even get someone to hand me the paperwork. They need more than 1 person to run a gun counter with a 1000 guns in it, too bad because I wanted to buy a lot but I guess I can go somewhere that actually wants my business.

Merchandise seems to be scattered around alot-Big store but often inventory is weak. Prices competitive, but weak "sales" ads. Sales people want to help but often too much-sales people are just ok. No service-no rod or reel repair. Not as "fun" as it should be!

Used to be my favorite store. Now you stand at the gun counter for 20 minutes when they are slow to be told they cant even tap in a sling bracket without shipping out your gun. Going back to the mom and pop stores 1 of which had my gun finished in 1 hour.

Gander mountain has all my outdoors needs and accessories. I am an avid fisherman and hunter and I like the variety of products they have to fit my needs. Great gun selection and awesome customer service. Id go back for another gun or two.

Go to the store in the middle of the week during the day, sit right at the gun customer service area and wats the one guy servicing customers BSing with a buddy for over 10 minutes, I finally left somebody else can get my business

The broad selection is nice, but their prices are high. This is a good place to find what you want (you can hold it and feel it), and then order it online. Nothing personal, really...just business. ;)

Fair selection but prices dont match online prices. Its frustrating to find a deal on the Gander Mountain website, drive to the store, then find out this location does not honor online prices.
