I went into this store to upgrade my phone and start a new Verizon contract with my boyfriend. The representative did not know that the Droid Maxx was available for me to upgrade for free, even after I researched it extensively on the Verizon website. After some searching she discovered that it was in fact listed. Okay, great. She proceeded to transfer everything from my old phone to the new one, and got all my account stuff set up. After about 45 minutes of this, she realized that because it was a retailer and not a corporate store, I had to pay $100 for the phone. I said absolutely not, and asked her to please have a manager waive the fee, which is a common procedure. She said it could not be done and proceeded to undo everything, transferring everything back to my old phone. 15 minutes later, a manager came out from the back, we explained what had happened, and he said "Oh, I can waive the fee for you." Of course. So she then proceeded to make me wait, again, while she transferred everything BACK to the new phone. Another 15 minutes later (its been over an hour at this point), she hands me the phone, and tells me that actually, Ill need to pay the $117 for the phone, and Im given a rebate form for $100. Thats right, after all that, I still have to pay $17 in tax. At this point I was so exhausted that I just went along with it. Fast forward to a few months later, I come to discover that a random insurance company called Tech Protect is taking an arbitrary amount of money out of my checking account every month (it even changed slightly from month to month). I call Verizon to figure out why I would be getting a separate bill for my insurance. Get this: they dont even know who Tech Protect is. Thats right; this Verizon retailer gave my bank account information to a completely random third-party insurance company. More than that, they allowed the company to have DIRECT access to my bank account. The retailer gave me ZERO indication that this was the policy, or I never would have agreed to it. Ive since called Tech Protect to cancel my insurance with them, but will be closely monitoring my bank account in the coming weeks. I have also spoken to Verizon about how inappropriate it is that they would allow their retailers to give customers bank account information to random third parties. If you go here, just know that they are NOT an actual Verizon store, they just look like one. They just sell Verizon products. They do NOT adhere to Verizons policies.

Let me start by saying I was extremely resistant to changing carriers. I have been with one of the "other guys" for a solid 10 years and despite my husbands urging, was not convinced there was much difference in service - not enough to go through the process of changing it all! Then I went on a trip to the middle of nowhere, Washington, and I had my personal cell and my work cell with me - my work cell is Verizon and the stark difference in coverage had me convinced to at least look into finally making the switch. But, this isnt about Verizons coverage - this is about my experience with this store. The staff here, particularly Terrance R., made the switch to Verizon utterly painless. Terrance was patient, not a typical pushy salesperson, and truly made an effort to meet our needs and address our concerns. We could have done it all in an hour or two, but we dragged it out over 3 visits (the first to "look into it", the second to pick out our plan and our phones, and the third to pick them up - fully activated and all.) At no point did Terrance appear irritated by our (ok, lets be honest, MY) hesitancy to commit, and he truly cared that we have a busy lifestyle and made a point not to waste our time, but also stuck around with undivided attention if we felt like asking a million questions past closing time. I will admit it - we were not the easiest customers to deal with, but every customer service and/or salesperson could definitely use a lesson from this guy.

Stopped in with my wife and dog last night. Terence was very accommodating to us bringing in our pet, even offering to close the doors so he could be off leash in the store. We always like that. Now onto the actual review. Terence was very knowledgeable about the products we were interested in. We called ahead to make sure the new phones we wanted were in stock, and when we arrived he had all the items we might want ready to go for us. In addition to the phones, he brought out a suggested case, vehicle charger and screen protector. The best part is that he didnt push any of it on us, and when we asked to see different cases, he just went and got them and gave recommendations based on what he had experience with using and other customers input. When we declined most of the suggestions, his demeanor didnt change at all. He was helpful consistently from start to end. Even if Terence isnt here at this same store in two years when our next contract us up, we hope the customer service matches what we experiences on this trip.

Never had an issue with verizon until i went to the store on lake city way. Wont be returning. Went in a month ago to receive my upgrade. Knew exactly what phone I wanted and told the associate which one. He ends up telling me about 6 other phones and brings them all out and I tried multiple times to tell him no I want this particular phone. Finally got him to stop trying to sell me on other phones and got the one I wanted. Today 4/5/16. Went in to get a phone protector he had told me he will order because they were out when I got my upgrade, after never receiving a call that they got them in(like he told me he was going to do). He doesnt remember selling me the phone and blah blah blah. No name tag but I do know hes around 30-38 years old, Hispanic. Wasnt willing to help, just wanted to argue about the fact he doesnt remember. Wont be returning.

Came in to have my phone checked and Tim greeted me at the door and escorted me to his desk very professionally. Thats the first Ive seen since doing business with Verizon for almost 16 years. It was then I knew I could be comfortable with my cellular needs. So he diagnosed my phone and explained everything in a way where someone like me can understand. I appreciate that very much. To make a long story short, I upgraded my phone to something I decided I wanted and not want every sales person would sell me. Tim was not pushy at all and gave me options to choose and I made the decision because he was very nice. The great thing is I was able to leave with a new tablet and still get my bill lower than what I had before today. I am so amazed with his service. Kudos to the company for training him very well.

Terrance assisted 3 different family members on different occasions. We 3 family memebers were all on the same plan...we were sharing helpful hints to one another (all living in different zip codes) and were thrilled to learn that we had all been helped by Terrance. Terrance is very knowlegable about Verizon products and services. Terrance was patient, polite, compassionate, and went above and beyond for each and every one of us. We agreed, as a family, to work with Terrance for our 2 accounts with 13 lines. We feel like his friend, he is absolutely outstanding as a human being. I recommend accolades and promotions for Terrance, yet we never want him to leave us. Thank you Terrance from the bottom of our hearts. We honor your service to our family. Go far and may all your dreams come true!
